THE ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS’ TEXT IN COOPERATIVE LEARNING ON THE STUDENTS’ RECOUNT TEXT MASTERY
Get PDFThis study investigated the effects of students’ text in cooperative learning on students’ recount text mastery, and on their perfomance in their fisrt year classes at college. Seventy first year students of English Education Department STKIP Muhammadiyah Pringsewu Lampung (STKIP-MPL) in the academic of year 2014/2015 and a lecturer in the English Education Department of STKIP-MPL participated in this study. The data of this study came from two sources: a structured questionnaire and a set of semi-structured interviews. Descriptive statistics were used for analysis of the data coming from the questionnaire. Results indicated that students’ text in cooperative learning has some positive effects on students’ reading comprehension and on their perfomance in their first year classes at college.Keywords: students’ text, cooperative learning, recount text, reading comprehensio

This study aims to investigate theeffectiveness of group guidance by using problem solving technique toward isolatedstudents. This study used quantitative approach and quasi experimental method withnonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. 26 students of seventh grade of StateIslamic Junior High School (Mts) Pringsewu were choosen as the sample. They wereselected by using simple random sampling technique. IMPLIKASI SELF EFFICACY TERHADAP PERENCANAAN KARIER SISWA
Get PDFThis study is carried out due to less of students understanding about future career planning, whereas those students have enough self belief about their potential. Therefore this study aims to know the strength of relation between self efficacy and students’ career planning. This study used quantitative approach that emphasize on numerical data of behavior which is processed by statistics method. This study used correlational statistic design. Product moment was employed in this research. The result shows positive correlation between self efficacy and career planning of the tenth grade students of Senior High School Yasmida Ambarawa, in even semester 2014/2015. Based on the result, this research contribution consists of career planning 65.52% was influenced by self efficacy and the rest 34.34% was influenced by others. In conclusion, if someone improve self efficacy in career, their career planning will improve too.Key Words: Correlation, sefl efficacy, and career plannning

In this study, the researcher tried to understand the moral messages of Lampung poetry, in nature aspect and language methode. The Lampung poetry choosen is “Pisaan”which originally from Way Kanan and “Wayak” from Liwa. Both of them are included in Lampung Pesisir. Thisstudy conducted at SMPN 3 Pringsewu. The population was all of the eight gradestudents at SMPN 3 Pringsewu, with the samples of this study consists of the VIII-2class as the experiment class and VIII-5 class as the control class. To obtain thedata, it used mathematical representation achievement test instrument. The dataanalysis was conducted to know the average difference between two samples usingt-test. Get PDFThe purpose of this research describe the distribution and trends of theundergraduate thesis that conducted by the Mathematics Education Departmentstudents in terms of the research type, focus of the research, research materials,and research subject, and also describe the difficulties experienced by thestudents. This research is a qualitative case study. The subjects of the researchare 8 th semester of Mathematics Education Department students in the academicyear 2014-2015. The data collecting technique used questionnaire and interviewmethods. The data validity used triangulation method, coordinating betweenquestionnaire and interview data. Results of this research are: (1) the type ofstudent research is quantitative; (2) the focus of the research is learning modeland problem solving; (3) the research material is Geometri; and (4) the researchsubject is junior high school students. PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA MENGGUNAKAN THINK TALK WRITE DITINJAU DARI KECERDASAN LOGIKA MATEMATIKA
Get PDFThis study aims to improve mathematics achievement of the students at MTsGUPPI Kresnomulyo in the academic year 2014-2015 by applying cooperativelearning model, Think Talk Write and direct learning model in terms ofmathematical logic intelligence in high, medium and low categories. This studyincludes quasi experimental with one dependent variable and two independentvariables. The dependent variable is mathematics achievement, and theindependent variable is TTW learning model as the experimental class and directlearning model as the control class. The data analysis was tested by using two-way analysis variance with the measurement 2 x 3. The findings in this study are:(1) the result of cooperative learning TTW type provides the mathematicslearning achievementis better than direct learning; (2) high intelligence ofmathematical logic provides mathematics learning achievement is better thanmedium or low mathematical logic intelligence; and (3) medium mathematicallogic intelligenceis better than low mathematical logic intelligence. KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS MAHASISWA DALAM PEMECAHAN MASALAH KALKULUS II
Get PDFMathematical communication has an important role in mathematics learning for
instance, sharpening the way of thinking, improving students’ ability in observing the
relevance of various mathematics concept, measuring the development of
mathematics understanding, and reflecting students’mathematics comprehension.
For these reasons, it is crucial to know how far students’mathematical
communiation skills. Therefore, this study aims to describe mathematical
communication skills of majors students STKIP MPL. Mathematical communication
skills are seen through students’answer analysis in solving Calculus II problem. The
research subject consists of three students who get score A, B, dan C. Based on the
analysis result found that mathematical communication skills of these subjects are
able to communicate mathematical ideas by using pictures and Mathematics
symbols. However, they have differences ability in describing and analysing. The first
subject is able to describe and analyze pictures precisely. The second subject is not
able to describe pictures well, thus the pictures are difficult to understand. While the
third subject is able to describe pictures well but can not analyze the picture so the
problem solving method is not appropriate.
