Get PDFThe purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of activestudent learning strategies to the students learning achievements on thelines and angles material. The population this study is all of the seventhgrade students of SMP IT Al-Munir Sukoharjo Pringsewu in theacademic year 2014-2015 that consist of 24 students. This study 5students as a respondents and 19 students as a sample. The datacollecting technique used was test and test description consists of 3items. Furthermore, the data has been analyzed using descriptive t test.The results of analysis data, that there are differences between theresults of students mathematics learning after a given learning by usinglearning strategies students active with the chief engineer, and theaverage results of students mathematics learning after being given anactive student learning strategies more than Minimum CompletenessCriteria at 65 so it can be concluded that active student learningstrategies is an effective learning of the results of students' mathematicslearning.Keywords: effectiveness of active student learning strategies,students learning achievement
DIRECTED READING THINKING ACTIVITY (DR-TA) STRATEGY TO TEACH READING
Get PDFThis study aims to investigate the implemetation of Directed Reading Thinking Activity(DR-TA) in enhancing students’ reading comprehension. The process of DR-TAincludes predicting, reading, and proving. This study employed quasi experimetaldesign. As the lecturer guides the process, the DRTA teaches students to determine thepurpose for reading and make adjustments to what they think will come next based onthe text. The finding shows that students’ reading comprehension increased afterapplying Directed Reading Thinking Activity( DR-TA). By using this strategy studentscan activate their prior knowledge of a topic/content of the text to be read, hypothesizeabout what might be addressed in the text, and establish meaningful purposes forreading the text.Keywords: Directed Reading Thinking Activity strategy, reading, comprehension

Get PDFThis study aims to describe the perceptions and motivations of students in choosing astudy program at the Department of Language and Art. This is a descriptivequalitative study with a sample size of 50 students. The data were collected throughquestionnaires. The results showed that the students' perceptions of the study programin the Department of Language and Arts included are considered good. The students'perceptions of the quality of study programs, lecturer’ s knowledge, the curriculum ofthe study programs, and the graduate of the study program has been good. However,the students' perceptions of infrastructure and tuition fees are still low. The student’ smotivation in choosing a study program at the Department of Language and Arts fit ineither category. Things that motivate them in choosing a study program at theDepartment of Language and Arts among others: the desire for developing theirinterests and talents, the aspirations to become a teacher, the desire for quicklygetting a job after graduation, the ability to compete with graduates of otheruniversities, the reliance of the knowledge learned can be the foundation of life in thefuture, Unila status as the State Universities, the certification of teachers, the lecturerswho teach have good quality, and the curriculum in the study program fit the workingworld..Keywords: perception, motivation, Department of Language and Art Unil

The subject of thisstudy was all of the students on VII.A class of SMP N Satu Atap 2 Negerikaton inthe academic year of 2014-2015. Method of this study was descriptive analysis.Researcher used observation sheet they were teacher’s ability sheet, activity’sstudent sheet, respond’s student sheet, then to get students’ learning achievementwere used essay. Learning indicator that focused on ability aspect, studentactivity and student response is more than 75%, therefore it will increase. Baseon the data, teacher’s ability was 78,23%, students’ activity was 76,84%,students’ response was 78,48%, base on percentage it will impact learningachievement that reached, based on essay result means that student’s percentageresult was success and gets above Minimum Completeness Criteria is 77,78%therefore studying result are good, those four indicators learning effectivenessgoal is more than 75%, it means that learning model purpose CIRC tomathematics learning on rectangular material is effective to trouble-shootingability on subject rectangular.Keywords: Cooperative Integrated Reading and Compotition, effectiveness inlearnin

School is organization that produces service. In order to obtain qualified school, it
needs quality of human resources such the head master, teachers, and staff. This
study tries to know how is the general description of implementation school’s quality
assurance system and quality standard decision in SMPN 25 B. Lampung. To
investigate and analyze the phenomenon of research focus, the researcher used
qualitative study by using three steps namely orientation, exploration, and member
check. The result shows that to achieve quality school, it not only relies, on school
management quality using indicator eight standard of national education but also the
existence of specific experience habitually. Quality assurance system consistently has been applied since the beginning of educational school. Good management school and quality assurance system impacts on educational quality. It is influenced by some factors: a) factor of purpose, b) educator factor, c) students factor, d) infrastructure factor, and e) environmental factor.

PENGGUNAAN TEKNIK PSIKODRAMA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KONSEP DIRI SISWA
Get PDFThis study based on the problem experienced by 20 students of Senior High School PGRIPagelaran who have negative self concept. In order to enhace students’ self concept, theresearcher tries to use pychodrama technique for investigating group guidance service. Itis a solution to improve students’ self concept. This study employs pre-experimental Pre-test post-test One Group Design. This study was conducted at the X class of Senior HighSchool PGRI Pagelaran in accademic year 2013/2014. The research subject are 20students. Hypothesis testing was applied by comparing the average score of pre-test andpost-test, and the T test was consulted with value of T Table at significant level 1% andd.b.= N-1=20-1=19. The result shows that the use of psychodrama technique canimprove self concept. The result was proven by significant change of average score pre-test and post test which treated psychodrama technique is 67.5 change into 89.85 or t (o)= 8,196 > t (t) = 2,861, therefore Ho rejected and Ha accepted.Keywords: psychodrama, self concept

It was indicated from the students less vocabulary then madethe students less writing. Students’ vocabularies such as synonym, antonym, andlanguage style were improving students’ skill in speech text writing. Through thosevocabularies, the students could choose and use it, then got good quality in writing.This research was reviewing vocabularies implementation in speech text writing.
