The mother tongue of State JuniorHigh School Number I Banyumas student dominate with local language such asJavanese of habitual society in communication there. The Childern get difficulties inlanguage learning especially descriptive. The objective of this research knows ofmother toungue used in descriptive text made by Junior High School number IBanyumas. This research is using analysis descriptive that mother tongue as theobject of the research. The data collecting technique is using test and interview. Theresearcher gives a picture to the students then describes the picture. Furthemore, theresearcher is interviewing the students about their identity. EKSPERIMENTASI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN REASONING AND PROBLEM SOLVING DITUNJANG MEDIA POWER POINT TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATERI LINGKARAN
Get PDFThe purpose of this study is to determine the differences between theresults of the student's learning achievement using reasoning and problemsolving models supported by power point media and direct instructionmodels. The population was all of the students in second grade of SMP N1 Satu Atap 2 Negerikaton in the academic year 2015-2016, the samplingtechnique used cluster random sampling. Learning achievement data wasgotten from the test used essay consists of 5 items then it were analyzed byusing t-test. The results of this study showed there are differences in thestudent’s learning achievement average between these two models and thestudent’s learning achievement average using reasoning and problemsolving models supported by power point media is better than using directinstruction models.Keywords: reasoning and problem solving models, power point media, directinstruction mode
ENHANCING THE LISTENING MOTIVATION AND ACHIEVEMENT OF THE ELEVENTH GRADERS BY USING DRAMA MOVIES VIEWING TECHNIQUES
Get PDFThe present study aimed to investigate whether or not there was a significant differencein students’ listening motivation and achievement after they were taught by dramamovies viewing technique. The objects of the study were 60 eleventh graders. A quasiexperimental design was used in this study.Data were collected by using motivationquestionnaire and listening achievement tests. The results showed that the students whowere treated by drama movies viewing technique achieved higher mean score inlistening motivation (80.57) and listening achievement (81.46). Drama movies viewingtechnique also gave contribution in listening motivation (31.9%) and listeningachievement (61.8%).Keywords: drama movies viewing techniques, listening motivation, and listeningAchievement
THE USE OF ENGLISH MOVIE IN TEACHING AUSTIN’S ACT
Get PDFThe purpose of this research is to investigate and describe the finding about the use of English movie in teaching Austin’s act in the fifth semester. This research is categorized as descriptive qualitative research. It means that the writer would describe the data gain as naturally as possible. The writer used this method in order to get specific, factual, and meaningful data. In this research, the writer used observation, interview, and documentation to collect the data. The population of the research was the students of fifth semester of STKIP Muhammadiyah Pringsewu Lampung in the academic year of 2014/2015. The writer could conclude that the use of English movie in teaching Austin’s act has good response. the use of movie in teaching Austin’s act based on attention and particioation reached “good” scale.Keywords: Austin’s act, English movie, descriptive qualitativ

This study used qualitative method and content analysis. The result of study shows that this novel contains material, vital, and spiritual value. Material value is dominated by a gold, the jewelry given by Bendoro to Gadis Pantai in order to viewed as high level people. Vital value is dominated by house equipment which related to the life of Gadis Pantai and spiritual value found in her life. In novel Wanita di Lautan Sunyi created by Nurul Asmayani, it is figured out the different personality of three actors. The personality can be analyzed from the level of id, ego, and super ego. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The objective of this study is to know internal conflict that undergone by the main actor in this novel. In finishing each conflict happened by three main actors, the author describes it in simple, flow, and attractive. Moreover the use of well ordered and simple words make the story alive, seems as the real story so it is interesting to be read.Keywords: literature work, psychoanalysis, internal conflict

Get PDFThe research aims to enhance the problem solving on a rectangular material and to produce a decent learning tools used in learning. This study uses the ADDIE model development phase Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. The population in this research is class VII SMP N 29 Semarang. The results of the validation expert and student questionnaire mostly indicate the criteria very well. So the device is valid to implement. The results showed teaching materials based comic character education to enhance the problem-solving rectangular material is worthy of (valid) or can be used as teaching materials. Problem solving ability of students to use teaching materials are also comics more effective than student learning outcomes using conventional learning model in the subject matter quadrilateral
PENGARUH PEMBERIAN UMPAN BALIK TERHADAP KESALAHAN SISWA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN OPERASI HITUNG BENTUK ALJABAR
Get PDFThe research is aims to determine the effect of feedback on students’ mistake in
completing the algebra arithmetic operation. The effect can be seen by the average
difference in students’ mistake in completing the algebra arithmetic operation
between the given feedback and are not given feedback. The population was all of
the second grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Adiluwih in the academic year 2015-
2016. The samples of the research were taken by using the cluster random
sampling technique. The research instrument used was a test in the form of
description consists of four items. Data acquisition is done by testing with data
analysis techniques using U-test (Mann-Whitney U test) because the data is not
normally distributed. The result of the research can be concluded that the provision
of feedback can influence the students' mistakes in completing the algebra
arithmetic operation. The effect can be seen by the average difference in students'
mistakes in completing the algebra arithmetic operation between classes given
feedback and classes are not given feedback.

EKSPERIMENTASI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN TEAMS ASSISTED INDIVIDUALIZATION DITINJAU DARI ADVERSITY QUOTIENT SISWA
Get PDFThis research aimed to find out: (1) which one gives better in mathematics learning
achievement, learning models of Teams Assisted Individualization or conventional,
(2) which one have better in mathematics learning achievement, students having
climbers, campers or quitters of Adversity Quotient, (3) in each learning model,
the level of Adversity Quotient which one have better mathematics learning
achievement, students having climbers, campers or quitters of Adversity Quotient,
(4) in each student’s level of Adversity Quotient which one gives better in
mathematics learning achievement, learning models of TAI or conventional. This
research was a quasi-experimental research with 2 x 3 factorial design. The
population of research was all students in XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Pulokulon. The
samples were chosen by using cluster random sampling. The instruments that were
used to collect the data were the documentation of mathematics achievement,
questionnaire of Adversity Quotient and test of mathematics achievement. The
result of research showed as follows: (1) learning model TAI provided better
learning achievement than conventional, (2) the students having climbers,
campers, and quitters had equally mathematics learning achievement, (3) in each
learning model, the students having climbers, campers, and quitters had equally
mathematics learning achievement, (4) in each Adversity Quotient, learning model
TAI provided better learning achievement than conventional.

THE CORRELATION BETWEEN STUDENTS’ FREQUENCY OF LISTENING TO ENGLISH SONGS AND THEIR LISTENING ACHIEVEMENT
Get PDFThis study is aimed at investigating whether there is a significant correlation between students’ frequency of listening to English songs and their listening achievement This study was conducted at the first year students of State Senior High School 9 Bandarlampung, Lampung. A descriptive quantitative was employed in this study which used ex-post facto design and the data were taken from questionnaire, semi-structured interview, and listening test. The data were analyzed by using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 16.0. The hypothesis was tested by using Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The test result showed that there is a significant correlation between students’ frequency of listening to English songs and their listening achievement. From the result of interview, it showed that most of the students believe that by having high frequency of listening to English songs, it helps them in recognizing the spoken language and get high score in listening ability.Keywords: listening to English song, listening ability, frequency of listenin
