Aligning Early Childhood Teaching Practices with Parental Aspirations: Insights from a TASKA Case Study.
This paper examines the application of teaching and learning strategies among infants and toddlers within Childcare Centres (TASKA) in Malaysia and how the strategies satisfy the wishes of contemporary parents. This paper will utilize teacher interviews and library studies to examine the methods and pedagogical techniques, learning strategies, and challenges faced by the teachers of early childhood learning in the process of delivering holistic and quality care to children under the age of three years. The results indicate that the majority of TASKA focus on the play-based learning, responsive caregiving, and early stimulation activities leading to cognitive, social, and emotional development. Nonetheless, high parental expectations, insufficient resources, and teacher workload continue to be among the difficulties. Some of the recommendations involve the formation of effective teacher-parent collaboration, ongoing professional development, and enhancement of curriculum directives with equal emphasis on academic and development objectives
IMPLEMENTATION OF TEACHING AND LEARNING METHODS FOR INFANTS AND TODDLERS IN TASKA: A LITERATURE REVIEW RESPONDING TO CONTEMPORARY PARENTS' EXPECTATIONS
This study, using a literature review method (kajian perpustakaan), aims to explore the teaching methods used by TASKAs (childcare centers) in Malaysia for infants and toddlers and how they address the educational expectations of contemporary parents. The study summarizes several commonly used teaching methods in TASKAs, including play-based learning, responsive caregiving, sensory learning, individualized learning, and parent-center collaboration. The study found that these methods not only align with the laws of children's physical and mental development but also, in most cases, meet parents' triple educational needs of safety, inspiration, and emotional connection. Finally, the paper recommends that TASKAs continue to enhance the professionalism of their teachers, improve their curriculum, and strengthen collaboration with families and community resources to comprehensively improve the quality of infant and toddler education
Exploring the Interplay between Intercultural Competence, Student Motivation, and Psychological Adaptation in Multilingual Classrooms: Mechanisms and Educational Implications in Southeast Asia
In Southeast Asia’s culturally and linguistically diverse learning environments, multilingual classrooms provide a unique platform for nurturing intercultural competence, sustaining student motivation, and supporting psychological adaptation. This conceptual paper explores the dynamic interplay among these three constructs, drawing upon Byram’s model of intercultural communicative competence, self-determination theory, and positive psychology perspectives. It analyzes how the cognitive, affective, and behavioral dimensions of intercultural competence influence both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, as well as students’ emotional well-being and adaptability in multilingual settings. Through an integrative review of existing research, the study develops a conceptual framework linking intercultural education and student psychology, aiming to promote a holistic understanding of learner development in multicultural contexts. The findings emphasize the importance of humanizing pedagogy, culturally responsive teaching, and socio-emotional support in enhancing motivation and psychological well-being. Finally, the paper offers practical implications for curriculum design, teacher training, and regional collaboration to foster inclusive and motivating multilingual learning environments across Southeast Asia
factors FACTORS AFFECTING INTRAPERSONAL PSYCHOLOGY IN STUDENTS IN THE DIGITAL ERA
This research examines the influence of digital factors on the intrapersonal psychology of students in the digital era, particularly the aspects of self-esteem, motivation, and emotion regulation. By using a literature review method, data was collected from relevant national and international sources (2018–2023). The analysis results show that excessive use of social media contributes to a decrease in self-esteem, high access to digital information negatively affects motivation, and positive online interactions can enhance emotion regulation if supported by an external environment. These findings are expected to assist educators and policymakers in designing effective psychological interventions in the digital era to improve student well-being
Judges' Reasoning in Applying the Customary Offense of Lokika Sanggraha: Case Study of Decision No. 997/Pid.Sus/2019/PN Dps
This study examines the application of Balinese customary law, specifically the criminal offense of Lokika Sanggraha, in filling legal gaps in Indonesia's national criminal law system, with a case study of Decision No. 997/Pid.Sus/2019/PN Dps. The defendant, I Dewa Gede Ardana, was charged under Balinese customary law for violating a promise to marry after engaging in sexual relations. This study focuses on the legal reasoning applied by the judge in interpreting Article 359 of the Adhigama Code, which regulates adultery outside marriage, which is not specifically regulated in the Criminal Code (KUHP). The research method used is normative legal research by analyzing court decisions, legal doctrines, and related regulations. The findings reveal that judges utilize customary law to address situations not covered by national law, thereby ensuring justice while respecting local moral and social values. This study highlights the role of legal discovery in bridging legal gaps and demonstrates the Indonesian legal system's ability to integrate customary law. The study concludes that the application of Balinese customary law in this case not only fills a legal void but also reinforces the importance of local traditions in contemporary judicial processes, contributing to a more inclusive legal system
Telaah Kesadaran dan Kepatuhan Hukum Pengguna Jalan terhadap Rambu Larangan Putar Balik: Studi Kasus di Jalan Nasiolal (Jalan Magelang), Sleman
Violations of no-u-turn signs are a traffic law issue that affects order, safety, and the effectiveness of transportation policies in public spaces. This study aims to analyze the factors that cause violations and the efforts made to address them, with a case study on Jalan Magelang Km 7.5 and Km 8.5, Sleman, Yogyakarta. This study uses an empirical legal method. The results of the study indicate that there are three main factors driving violations. First, the distance between the no-turn zone and the official U-turn location is considered too far by road users. Second, time efficiency considerations drive rational decision-making despite being contrary to the law. Third, the role of traffic volunteers (supeltas) socially legitimizes violations by signaling safe U-turns at prohibited locations. On the other hand, efforts to address violations are carried out through three main strategies: police presence during peak violation hours as a form of prevention and direct law enforcement, a persuasive approach through on-site education for violators, and the installation of road barriers as a physical intervention to block access to illegal U-turns. These three efforts not only represent repressive actions but also illustrate structural and educational strategies aligned with situational crime prevention theory, deterrence theory, and community policing. The research findings emphasize that effective law enforcement cannot rely solely on penalties but must also consider technical, social, and cultural aspects of society to foster sustainable compliance with the law.
Implications of Constitutional Court Decision Number 135/PUU-XXII/2024 on the Separation of DPR and DPRD Elections on the Electoral System in Indonesia
Constitutional Court Decision Number 135/PUU-XXII/2024 regarding the separation of the DPR and DPRD elections marks a significant change in Indonesia's electoral system. Until now, the simultaneous implementation of elections using the “five boxes” model has caused various problems, including technical complexity in implementation, high logistical costs, and reduced attention to local issues. This study aims to analyze the constitutional implications and legal transition of the decision, particularly regarding the term of office of the DPRD, the potential for a vacuum in regional government, and the urgency of revising related laws. The research method used is normative legal research with a legislative approach and a conceptual approach through a review of the Constitutional Court's decision, the 1945 Constitution, the Election Law, the Regional Election Law, and relevant academic literature. The results of the study show that the separation of elections is intended to improve the effectiveness of their implementation, strengthen local democracy, and minimize the risk of administrative errors. However, this decision also poses challenges in the form of potential regulatory disharmony and constitutional uncertainty if it is not immediately followed by adjustments to legislation. Thus, this decision opens up space for electoral system reforms that are more responsive to local needs, but its success is highly dependent on the readiness of legislation and the governance of elections in Indonesia
Exploring ESP Students’ Preferences for Oral Corrective Feedback
Although some researchers show negative views toward oral corrective feedback, many believe that oral corrective feedback is beneficial for correcting the students’ errors and improving their speaking skills. This survey study aims at investigating ESP students’ oral corrective feedback preferences in speaking class. One hundred and sixty-five students from different study programs participated in the study. Moreover, a closed-ended questionnaire was employed to collect the data. The results revealed that the students strongly wanted their lecturers to fix their spoken errors. The students also showed their favorable attitude toward overall error corrections given by the lecturers instead of peers. Concerning the types of errors, a huge number of the students either agree or disagree toward oral correction on grammatical errors, pronunciation errors, and inappropriate vocabulary usage and expressions. Additionally, explicit correction was the most favorable feedback among the students followed by elicitation and metalinguistic feedback. Exploring students’ preferences of oral corrective feedback assists lecturers to find the most effective way of delivering feedback that suits the students’ needs. By implementing the effective feedback, not only students’ errors can be corrected but their speaking skills can be improved.

Analisis Yuridis Agresi Israel Di Palestina Perspektif Hukum Pidana Internasional Dan Hukum Pidana Islam Terkait Sanksi Genosida Dalam Statuta Roma Bagian 7 No. 77 Tahun 1998
The prolonged and systematic aggression by Israel against Palestine has sparked urgent debates in the fields of international criminal law and Islamic criminal law. This study seeks to examine the issue of whether the acts committed by Israel against Palestinian civilians constitute genocide, analyzed from both perspectives. The objective is to explore the legal classification, the elements of the crime, and the applicable sanctions from international and Islamic frameworks. This research adopts a normative juridical approach using conceptual, statutory, and comparative methods. The study analyzes primary and secondary legal sources to construct a comprehensive understanding of the crime’s legal dimensions. Findings indicate that the aggression fulfills essential criteria of genocide, particularly concerning intent, systematic targeting of civilians, and the scale of destruction. From the Islamic perspective, the acts also correspond to grave offenses that endanger life, dignity, and communal safety. Both legal systems emphasize the protection of life and impose severe sanctions for crimes of such magnitude. This study underscores the need for integrated global legal accountability that aligns universal values with religious justice.
