Extubating of a patient undergoing mechanical ventilation: What is the right time? A retrospective study assisted by artificial intelligence techniques
In the presence of acute respiratory failure, mechanical ventilation emerges as a temporary alternative to maintain adequate gas exchange in the body such as that which occurs in natural respiration. This technique is widely used in intensive care units. Our objective was to carry out an analysis and interpretation of cardiorespiratory signals in patients assisted by mechanical ventilation, using non-linear analysis techniques of dynamic systems, data mining and machine learning techniques to establish indices that allow determining the appropriate moment of disconnection. in patients during the weaning process. We use three categories: Failure, success and reintubated. We introduced a new variant of Moving Window with Variance Analysis, with which good results are obtained. We have found that by using all the time series available in the database, we have obtained an accuracy of 96% when using simple symbolic dynamics to differentiate between successful weaning and reintubated cases. and 86% when comparing success and failure, which contrasts with the results observed in the state of the art
Virtual laboratories as a means of increasing accessibility of biological education in Ukraine
Research objective. The objective of the study was to investigate the impact of virtual laboratories on students\u27 research skills while studying biology in a university environment. Applied research method. The research method used in the study was a research experiment in a virtual laboratory, the method of testing (EETS), and the method of expert evaluation. The statistical analysis was carried out using the Mann-Whitney criterion, Pearson\u27s coefficient, and correlation analysis. The reliability of the method was tested by Cronbach\u27s alpha. Main results. There is a positive correlation between the use of scientific methods and the ability to conduct experiments, as well as the attitude to the learning environment in both the experimental and control groups. The Pearson correlation coefficients were higher for the experimental group; this clearly indicates a stronger connection between their research skills and attitudes toward the learning environment. The ability to process results also has a small positive relationship with attitudes toward the learning environment. Major conclusions. The results of the study demonstrated the positive impact of using virtual laboratories in the study of biological disciplines
Developing a new model to control risk and improve quality in the construction industry by integrating risk management and quality function deployment
The construction industry is considered an indicator of a country\u27s development through buildings, residential complexes, investment projects, roads, bridges, and infrastructure projects. Dynamic and complex features characterise this industry, which is directly and significantly affected by external and internal factors, in addition to the influences of its stakeholders. These characteristics and factors are considered one of the main reasons for generating risks in this industry, which can affect the quality and reputation of the construction project if its Risk Management systems are not followed systematically and correctly. Poor quality of construction projects has become a visible and widespread feature worldwide, including in Malaysia. Risk management is still applied on a low level in many projects within the construction industry. Quality Function Deployment is considered an essential modern system that focuses on quality, customer needs, and satisfaction, which can serve the construction industry if linked with risk management tools. The study\u27s primary purpose is to find the relationship between RM and the QFD and develop a modern model for risk control in the construction industry through their integration. The conceptual framework of the proposed model is developed and applied to stakeholders in the construction industry in Malaysia. The results confirmed a solid, complementary, and interconnected relationship between RM and QFD, which can develop a new model for controlling risks and thus improve the construction project\u27s quality. The results of the study recommended adopting this model. Recommendations were made to researchers to develop the model in the future to include broader areas in the construction industry
The relevance and effectiveness of risk management systems to ensure the quality of education in the field of Soft Skills
The purpose of this study is to systematically review the effectiveness of risk management systems for ensuring the quality of education in the field of Soft Skills. The study used the PRISMA methodological approach, which contributed to ensuring transparency in conducting systematic reviews. This system was used to search, select and analyze scientific papers. In the results it is shown that risk management systems (ERM, ISO 31000, COSO ERM Framework and PMBOK) have great potential to improve the quality of the educational process and the effectiveness of soft skills development in students. Besides, these systems provide a wide-ranging approach to risk management. They also integrate it into all components of the organization. All of them have individual advantages and opportunities for integration into the modern innovative learning space. The conclusions indicate that the process of implementing effective risk management in the education system is important for ensuring high quality education and successful development of students. The risk management system allows not only to minimize potential problems, but also to increase the efficiency of management and ensure the stable development of educational programs

Three-dimensional final element analysis of composite steel - concrete aches
Latest structure construction crafts frequent use of composite steel-concrete arches for building and bridge applications. The leading goal of this research is to describe a three-dimensional finite element model capa-ble of describing the response of a composite steel-concrete arch. The commercial software Abaqus was implemented to develop the proposed approach, where a certain experimental test results in the literature on a scaled steel-concrete composite arch have been compared to validate the accuracy and adequacy of the proposed finite element model. Furthermore, the current research developed a finite element model to study the fundamental behavior of a composite steel box-concrete arch with a specific parameter. These parame-ters including the degree of curvature, the number of the shear connector, and the support conditions have been considered the main study parameters. The proposed model has presented an excellent prediction of the initial stiffness, the ultimate strength, and the ductility of the composite arch. The Representative behavior was affected significantly by the designated variable for the steel box section with composite deck. There-fore, these findings may be crafted with the aim of structural design rules
New strategic approaches for implementing intelligent streetscape towards livable streets in City of Riyadh
Streetscape can be considered as a term “which can be used to clarify and explain the street\u27s built-in and the basic structure, also it is known as the design of the visual appeal and quality of the street effect. A good tool for improving urban quality and establishing a feeling of place is design of streetscape. People\u27s re-quirements for public areas have changed as internet usage has continued to expand. The numbers of people who use cars has increased a lot in Riyadh city. This leads to some problems in a direct and an indirect way, such as car accidents, traffic overcrowding, lack of services for bicyclists and pedestrians, weak social rela-tionships between the people, and high obesity levels. Reconsider design of streetscape in Riyadh city espe-cially in the era of digital information technology will revitalize regions by providing reshaping the urban experience toward higher livability that respond to and connect with onlookers in order to increase under-standing of onlookers\u27 activities in the streets, promote their sense of place, and improve safety and livabil-ity in urban areas.. The presented study focuses on the qualitative approach that is according to the related theoretical exploration and research; so, this paper combines the design of streetscape with digital infor-mation technology, with new ideas of intelligent streetscape’s design for enhancing Riyadh city to make the user\u27s life livable. The current paper ended with proposed strategic approaches and suggestions to enhance the city of Riyadh\u27s streetscape style as an outcome of the theoretical research. Results indicated that streets, which contain a close combination with the resident’s daily life activities and the important consequences on their mental comfort, have not attracted any care in terms of academic research. This resulted in a failure in providing solid strategic approaches for intelligent design of streetscape in Riyadh city.  
The most common treatment methods through comparing the studies results of children with autism spectrum syndrome
Autism (ASM) is a group of neurodevelopmental condition capable of being diagnosed very early in childhood with variety of symptoms such as inability to communicate effectively, aggressive behaviour, and abnormal repetitive routines. The review compares the treatment of ASM with alternative modalities and pharmaceutical medications with evidence that parents prefer to use alternative medicine than pharmaceutical medications in treatment of ASM due to side effects and safety concerns associated with pharmaceutical medications. However, the review also highlights that pharmaceutical medications has no straightforward cure but have specialised drugs that can help manage specific associated symptoms with the syndrome, the (FDA) has only verified 2 drugs for ASM treatment (aripiprazole and risperidone) which help autistic children manage irritability problems associated with ASM syndromes, other drugs have not been adequately studied and not yet approved, therefore there are no evidence to support their use

Image filtering is a common technique used in digital image processing that can be used to take a picture appear differently aesthetically. Noise, also known as distracting visual artifacts, can lower the overall quali-ty of a picture, which is why image improvement techniques are required to fix the problem. It can be uti-lized in a variety of ways, including smoothing, sharpening, reducing noise, and detecting borders, to name a few. In this piece, we will be using convolutional techniques to correct the images that were messed up. The first thing that needs to be done is a point-by-point multiplication of the frequency domain representa-tion of the picture that\u27s being entered through a black image that has a small white rectangle in the mid of it. This is the first step. Only the lowest harmonics are kept after we apply a filter that gets rid of the higher ones. Because the high frequencies in the input picture are filtered out, the special domain of the image that is produced should look like a blurrier variation of the original picture. Therefore, a greater degree of detail preservation is indicated when the white rectangle W is larger because this indicates that more high-frequency components of I have been preserved
Enhancing child safety with accurate fingerprint identification using deep learning technology
Utilizing deep learning algorithms to differentiate the fingerprints of children can greatly enhance their safety. This advanced technology enables precise identification of individual children, facilitating improved monitoring and tracking of their activities and movements. This can effectively prevent abductions and other forms of harm, while also providing a valuable resource for law enforcement and other organizations responsible for safeguarding children. Furthermore, the use of deep learning algorithms minimizes the potential for errors and enhances the overall accuracy of fingerprint recognition. Overall, implementing this technology has immense potential to significantly improve the safety of children in various settings. Our experiments have demonstrated that deep learning significantly enhances the accuracy of fingerprint recognition for children. The model accu-rately classified fingerprints with an overall accuracy rate of 93%, surpassing traditional fingerprint recognition techniques by a significant margin. Additionally, it correctly identified individual children\u27s fingerprints with an accuracy rate of 89%, showcasing its ability to distinguish between different sets of fingerprints belonging to different children
