    Get PDF
This paper presents an Automated Telemedicine and diagnosis system (ATDS), is an expert system that is used for diagnosing many ailments such as malaria and others. and prescription of drugs. ATDS is made up of knowledge database. The end user makes use of it to determine if they are suffering from one ailment or the by entering the ailment symptoms. Once the system receives the information from the user, an instant drug prescription and diagnosis is made. ATDS is user-friendly. However, ATDS was not developed to replace the real doctors but to assist patient waiting for human doctors that are few and to make the diagnosing and prescribing of drugs faster and more accurate. ATDS is implemented in PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor). Hospitals and other medical clinics should be readily accessible by everyone when needed as one of the many limitations of health care establishment is distance. ATDS when compared with old systems like MYCIN is more efficient in the different aspects. It solved the problem of incomplete base. ATDS proves efficiency more than another medical expert system by giving instant and correct ailment diagnosis and drug prescription

Identification key scheme to enhance network performance in wireless body area network

    Get PDF
Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) refers to a group of small intelligent electronic devices placed on the human body to monitor its vital signals. the efficiency of network performance in health care applications is one of the most important prerequisites for designing an effective surveillance system. However, none of the previous studies have succeeded in proposing an effective scheme that could cover the requirements for effective network performance or the development of the WBAN system capable of sending and receiving vital patient data efficiently. The aim of this paper is to enhance the performance of the network in WBAN. In addition, to verify the transfer of patient data from sensors on the body to receivers with the least value of possible packet loss, a solution is developed that can reduce the value of packet loss, end to end delay and increase the value of throughput, relying on confirmation and matching data between the sender and receiver devices. A new scheme known as the Identification Key Scheme (IKS) is proposed based on the newly available 402–405 MHz Medical Implant Communication Service (MICS). The analysis of the network performance was implemented in real WBAN dataset and used the Multi-Parameter Intelligent Monitoring for Intensive Care (MIMIC) database. MIMIC database included the data recorded from 90 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients. In this study, OMNET++ was used as the network simulation tool to design and evaluate the proposed scheme. The results showed that IKS was able to reduce number of packet loss and end to end delay with increased throughput. This is an indicator of the ability of IKS in providing efficient network performance between devices in the WBAN application

Diagnosis of Organizational Change: A multi-level approach (Case study of a French SME certified ISO 9001)

    Get PDF
Since their first certificates issued in 1989, ISO standards have grown considerably with, for example, more than 1,106,356 certificates delivered in 2016 to ISO 9001 granted in the world [1]. Even though these standards have contributed significantly to the formalization of the company\u27s knowledge, little is known about the consequences of implementing this framework in terms of organizational changes and learning dynamics. To better understand this phenomenon, we opted for a qualitative approach based on a single case study. Our approach attempts to consider several levels of analysis: organizational, strategic, cognitive and societal. Hence, we have used a model that superimposes these four levels to analyze the organizational changes that are induced by the implementation of the ISO 9001 management system, and their consequences on the modes of learning within a French SME

The integration of the learning perspective and knowledge management has led us in this research to develop a framework for analyzing the influence of a management system of quality on organizational learning and innovation within certified companies. By conceptualizing a framework of analysis including contextual and methodological elements, we theoretically develop how a management system of quality such as ISO 9001 can produce different types of learning and knowledge and how the advantage of quality can become more sustainable

Implementation of national cryptocurrency using ethereum development platform

    Get PDF
While Ethereum run in public networks which make the blockchain size large and transaction run time longer than time for private or national network, that led to continuous worries over the expanding size of Ethereum Blockchain, which certainly reduce Cryptocurrency\u27s effectiveness. The estimations were on increase and believed it would cross the node limit of 1 TB terribly shortly. If new consumer a full node enters to that blockchain and cryptocurrency world, a node is a computer software cum database of the blockchain, which a full node client must download on their personal computers to become a full node in the blockchain. in this way, the client can be verifying transaction on the network with the help of other nodes on the system. We proposed to implement national cryptocurrency which developed using Ethereum as a development platform that could serve national or regional people that has limited or slow internet connections like Iraq, in addition payments in countries with unstable fiat currencies, although cryptocurrencies are suffering from unstable exchange rates against fiat currencies, the use of national cryptocurrency instead of the native fiat cash could even be a far better alternative for individuals in certain countries like Iraq, Iran and Syria, with high rate of inflation. The reminder of this paper is arranging as following: an introduction, the advantages and drawbacks of cryptocurrencies, Background on Blockchain and Ethereum, implementation, results and conclusion

The blue monkey: A new nature inspired metaheuristic optimization algorithm

This paper introduces a study to Blue Monkey (BM) algorithm, which is a new metaheuristic algorithm optimization based on the performance of blue monkey swarms in nature. The BM algorithm identifies how many males in one group. Normally, outside the season of the breeding, the groups of blue monkeys have only one adult male like other forest guenons. In addition to related patas monkeys (Erythrocebus patas). Forty-three of well-known test functions, which used in the area of optimization are used as benchmark to check BM algorithm, in addition, BM verified by a comparative performance check with Artificial-Bee-Colony (ABC), Gravitational Search Algorithm (GSA), Biogeography-Based Optimizer (BBO), and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). The obtained results demonstrated that BM algorithm is competitive compared with the selected metaheuristic algorithms; also, BM is able to converge towards the global optimal through optimization problems. Further, this algorithm is very efficient in field of dissolving real problems with restrictions and unidentified search space. It should be mentioned that the BM algorithm has some variables and it can obtain better results. in many test functions comparing with other algorithms

Experimental investigation to limit the effecting of friction stir welding factors on the strength of AA6061-T651

    Get PDF
Properties like light weight, high strength-to-weight ratio, and good corrosion resistance make   aluminium alloys widely accepted in automotive industry. The low melting point of these alloys makes welding by traditional methods difficult due to the imperfections associated with fusion processes. Friction stir welding (FSW) is a solid-state welding method invented in 1991 at the welding institute (TWI) in the UK; melting and recasting do not occur when using this process. But joints from AA6061-T651 aluminium alloy have been friction stir welded with different welding parameters like tool rotational speed and tool welding speed with constant tool dimension. The effects of rotational and welding speeds on the tensile strength, microhardness distribution and microstructure of the welding joints were studied. The results showed that the maximum tensile strength of the joints can be achieved when using tool with 18 mm and 5 mm shoulder and pin diameter at 710 rpm tool rotational speed and 23 mm/min. Also, we observed that microhardness is markedly affected when tool rotational speed increases

PDA: A private domains approach for improved msb steganography image

    Get PDF
Steganography is one of the secure techniques of protecting data inside a cover object. Images are the most popular cover objects for Steganography. It provides secret message between users. The current paper presents an enhanced Most Significant Bit (MSB) technique. In this paper, a Private Domains Approach (PDA) is proposed; each domain consists of RGB of a pixel of cover image. Bit No.5 is applied to store the secret information in light of the bit that achieved highest steganography rate and the less probability of error rate.Consequently, this technique is allowing an improved version of MSB technique based on Mean-Squared Error (MSE), Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR). The experimental results show that our schemes perform well in terms of image quality. Generally; MSB technique produced the best stego-image quality in this paper
