Information Technology Revolutionising Supplier Development Performance in Indian Automotive Sector
The growth of automobile production in the ASEAN region has in tandem spurred the growth of an automotive supplier industry. In today’s “hypercompetitive” business environment, most of global automobile OEMs have set up their manufacturing and sourcing operations in India to realize low cost advantage and skilled man power of India. Since the birth of 21st century, Indian automobile industry is not only going through a cut-throat completion and increasing sales volume but also has a challenge of supplying components at reduced cost and improved quality at par with global standards. Work-Culture of traditional businesses changed drastically by strong efforts of parent company on strategically, technological lean-manufacturing, training and development and usage of Information and communication technology for supplier development. Most of the auto OEMs being brand ambassadors having assembly lines, Green Supply Chain Management(GSCM) supported by Information and communication technology(ICT) is playing a vital role in meeting the procurement of auto components in most economical way . This study revolves around the change in the thought process by parent companies regarding supplier development from the last decade of twentieth century till first decade of twenty-first century where traditional manufacturing systems in Indian Automobile Industry were transforming to most modern system supported by Information and Communication Technology.ICT has still played a considerable role in QCD (Quality, Cost and Timely Delivery)and new concept of cloud computing is going to revolutionise the Indian Automobile Industry to be one of the most competitive supplier at global front in the coming future
An Elementary Expression of Density Function of Normal Laplace Distribution
Properties such as infinite divisibility, skew, excess kurtosis and suitable model the heavy-tailed distribution characteristic of real finance asset yield make the Normal-Laplace distribution a good candidate model in option pricing. However, a few constraints to Normal-Laplace parameter and density function lack of the enclosed expression may lead to the traditional moment estimation and maximum likelihood estimation failure, therefore, we put forward elementary enclosed expression of density function of Normal-Laplace distribution under some special conditions, try to remedy above lack
Impact of job redesign on employee motivation: A case study of Bahawalnagar Pakistan
Purpose – To find out the impact of job redesign on employee motivation in the area of Bahawalnagar Pakistan. We extracted three variables of job redesign to check their impact on employee motivation which were job enlargement, job enrichment and job rotation. And conducted the survey which was consisting of questions on these variables. Employee responses have been obtained and a mathematical model has been proposed to evaluate the results. The parameters for job enrichment, enlargement and job rotation will vary in accordance with the geographical area. This article is an important tool for the managers as it will serve them to compare the effects of these job techniques to change the level of motivation of the employees. The role of job redesign techniques is been studied to generate a good scale for the measurement
Capturing Activity Diagrams from Ontological Model
Activity Theory Diagrams is a useful enterprise model to capture the exclusive features of people’s work that incorporates mediation, work division, tools and social rules. Although there are several methods of using Activity Theory Diagrams to model people’s work, it is considered difficult to obtain useful Enterprise Activity Diagrams. This paper explains how to build Activity Diagrams from an ontological model of an enterprise. The ontological model is described in DEMO (Design & Engineering Methodology for Organizations). The proposal links DEMO Diagrams and Activity Diagrams proposed by Engeström. The link covers various components of a particular activity: the participants, work rules, social tools, goals and motives. The proposal uses a real case study to validate the proposal
Calculation of the Significance of Hazard Causative Factors
The paper is devoted to the actual problem of the estimation of hazard casual factors significance. Indices characterizing the significance of hazard casual factors in the occurrence of elementary undesirable events at potential hazard facility are proposed as well as indices of significance factors in accident occurrence. Algorithms for such calculation are described. Proposed indices are not alternative to probabilistic safety assessment indices but afford additional opportunity for analysis. Required precedent conditions for the significance indices calculation are described: knowledge base about factors and their impact on basic events occurrence made by the Method of Expert Evaluation Scales; formalized description of relations between basic events and an accident in the disjunctive-normal form; description of the situation when the situational significance of casual factors has to be calculated. The proposed indices can be used during the analysis of hazard casual factors. The algorithms proposed for the calculation of significance indices orient for developers of situational emergency centers, automated systems for hazard analytic at potential hazard facilities, particularly analytic systems of business projects when hazard technology is used
Designing an Optimal Cloud Migration Strategy
In this paper; we highlight the important aspects to be considered in designing an optimal cloud migration strategy. Cloud is today’s hype, it not only provides enterprises a means to reduce the carbon foot print and cost but also provides ease of use and networking across the globe. It helps enterprises maintain a common process ground for all their business needs. Day-by-Day we are seeing growth in enterprises switching to cloud. The methodology is defined as Cloud Migration. Despite of successful migration to cloud, many enterprises are suffering from security and other vulnerabilities in not only accessing but also maintaining their data in the cloud. We have taken this as our ground and we are trying to identify a secure way of migrating to cloud
Whether The Risk Level of Viet Nam Real Estate Firms under the Different Changing Tax Rates Increase or Decrease So Much?
Under the volatility of stock price, and changes in macro factors such as inflation and interest rates, the real estate market in Viet Nam has entered the recession stage after the year 2008 and after the bubbles in housing prices. This study analyzes the impacts of tax policy on market risk for the listed firms in the real estate industry as it becomes necessary.
First, by using quantitative and analytical methods to estimate asset and equity beta of total 45 listed companies in Viet Nam real estate industry with a proper traditional model, we found out that the beta values, in general, for many companies are acceptable.
Second. under 3 different scenarios of changing tax rates (20%, 25% and 28%), we recognized that there is not large disperse in equity beta values, estimated at 0,918, 0,927 and 0,934.
Third, by changing tax rates in 3 scenarios (25%, 20% and 28%), we recognized both equity and asset beta mean values have positive relationship with the increasing level of tax rate.
Finally, this paper provides some outcomes that could provide companies and government more evidence in establishing their policies in governance
