    Get PDF
The digital age is characterized by quickly evolving and rapidly growing information, which must be analysed and considered in decision-making. Therefore, it is strongly important to see the current state of business in real-time having opportunity to analyse historical data and to predict future changes. The research work is specific business field with own contexts, aims and KPI. As a result, there is need of a digital twin to effectively manage research activities too

    DECISION TREES IN CLASSIFICATION TASKS

    Get PDF
The goal of the study is to develop a classification system for Iris dataset. The analytical development environment called KNIME and freely available Iris dataset were applied in the research. The developed classification is based on the decision tree application. The accuracy of decision tree is compared with artificial neural network

APPLE SCAB EARLY STAGE RECOGNITION USING RGB COLOR MODEL FILTERS

    Get PDF
The goal of the study is to develop a RGB color model filter that helps highlighting apple scab in its early stages. It is necessary to identify the apple scab because understanding the problem early can save the apple tree from getting damaged further. Images of apple scab were modified by zooming them in, adding artificial color, analyzing the RGB histograms. With this data authors were able to filter colors with specific values

    TRANSFER LEARNING FOR TRAINING ACCELARATION

    Get PDF
In this work, authors compare training time of standard convolution neuron network model with model trained using transfer learning. Both models are based on Alexnet architecture. CNN model training from scratch included full model, but using transfer learning, some layers of model were frozen for learning acceleration considering transfer learning methodology

Since 2020 middle of March many universities transposed the study process to online environment. Kaunas University of Technology within two weeks completely transferred the study process to the online space also. The following tools Zoom, Big Blue Button, Adobe Connect, MS Teams, Loom, Web Meetings have been offered for working remotely. To reveal the learners\u27 experience and evaluate the above-mentioned video conferencing technologies in the education process, the authors of this article conducted a case study involving 354 second-year students of the Faculty of Informatics. The case study was accomplished in June 2020, after the end of quarantine in our country. The aim of the work was to reveal the learners\u27 experience and summarize the results using different types of video conferencing systems. The case study showed that the rapid transition to online form of education has been quite successful and that lessons learned can be used in the future in circumstances like COVID 19.

The administrative-legal science pays a great attention to the study of administrative offences’ qualification. When analyzing any part of an administrative offence, the issues of qualification always take the lead. This paper focuses on the most controversial and at the same time practically important issues. The composition of an administrative offence is a legal basis for the qualification of an administrative offence in accordance with a specific article of the law establishing administrative responsibility. The structure of an administrative offence is a combination of four elements: the object, the objective side, the subjective side and the subject, the presence of which is necessary and sufficient for the recognition of a socially harmful act as an administrative offence. These elements are called necessary because they must be present in any case when deciding whether to bring to administrative responsibility. In the absence of at least one of these elements, a person cannot be held administratively liable. In this paper, the composition of an administrative offence is considered as the basis for the qualification of administrative offences. In connection with the mentioned above, the problems’ study of administrative offences’ qualification, necessitates the further theoretical study of issues related to its concept, purpose, and implementation

    Get PDF
Importance of mathematics as a school subject is evident in a fact that it is a constituent part of core curriculum for basic education in all education systems in the world. First few years of education are of crucial importance to the formation of attitudes towards mathematics. Attitudes are important because they navigate our actions and by doing so, influence our reality and our future as well. Research on attitudes towards mathematics has considerably increased over the past few years, since the importance of mathematics is getting continuously more accentuated. In the context of schools and education, it is emphasized how positive attitude towards mathematics influences students’ relationship with school-work, studying, confidence and behaviour. The aim of the study was to determine primary school students’ attitudes towards mathematics. One hundred and seventy-one students from 3rd to 8th grade from III Primary School Varaždin, Croatia participated in the research. The data were analyzed with t-test and one-way ANOVA for independent samples. The research has shown that there is no statistically significant gender difference in attitudes towards mathematics; however, age difference was confirmed. It was also found that younger students in primary education had a more positive attitude towards mathematics than older students. Practical implications of acquired results could be in providing additional support to 5th and 6th grade students when the change from positive to negative attitude happens.

As the worldwide pandemic of Covid-19 continues, health-care professionals (HCP) have been exposed to different hazards, and there is a need to explore psychological resilience in crisis situations, and to give recommendations for its strengthening. The aim of this study was to examine relationship between psychological resilience and self-care strategies in HCP of Latvia, controlling for gender and age during Covid-19 pandemic, and to determine whether the psychological resilience and self-care strategies differ between HCP and professionals in other fields (POF) unrelated to healthcare. Method. The sample consisted of 1723 employees, who during the state of emergency continued to work in their profession; they were divided in two groups - 77 HCP (18 men, 59 women, age M = 46.23 (SD = 14.43)) and 1646 POF (720 men, 926 women, age M = 44.98 (SD = 11.93)) as comparison group. Specific data of national representative cross-sectional online survey (N = 2608), performed in July, 2020, were selected – demographic items, 7 items forming Psychological Resilience Scale and 17 item forming Self–care Strategies Questionnaire (consist of 4 scales: “Spiritual resources”, “Social support”, “Free time activities”, “Time management”). Results. “Time management” was only predictive for Self-care strategy for psychological resilience in both HCP and POF group. Neither age nor gender predicted psychological resilience in HCP group. No statistically significant differences for major variables between HCP and POF were found. Conclusions. The results suggest that performing such Self-care activity as time management can help to promote psychological resilience of the employees regardless of profession. Given the workload of HCP in pandemic, this is an important result. HCP psychological resilience and used self-care strategies during COVID-19 are not different from POF

    Get PDF
This is the final part of research started in 2014 when development of the new National Curricula (NC) was initiated. The role of music education had to be mapped to prove its meaning as a traditional mandatory subject in the NC. According to the research program, different aspects, related to music education (content, integration of art subjects, informal and non-formal music activities, supportive learning environments, etc.), were analysed. The research of 2020 is summarising the values music education can provide for development of educated, responsible, ethical and creative people. The data collected from essays of school students and (future and in-service) music teachers (n=166), were analysed by qualitative methods. The values were classified by the following categories: social, cultural, cognitive, moral, aesthetic, personal. The research results can be used as arguments for developing music education syllabi in the NCs from kindergartens to gymnasia. The whole program of research is already being used for further development of music teacher education.

We identified important and significant connections between the level of development of self-esteem and reflexivity with such indicators of professional self-determination as autonomy and emotional attitude. This result indicates that the level of development of his self-awareness plays a decisive role in the professional self-determination of a young man. It is the teacher\u27s task to help high school students in professional self-determination
