THE DYNAMICS OF INDICATORS OF PSYCHO-EMOTIONAL CONDITION OF COLLEGE STUDENTS, INFLUENCED BY TEAMBUILDING TECHNOLOGIES
Specialists say that the issue of understanding of influence mechanism of physical activity on psychological health of children and teenagers is not investigated thoroughly. This concerns primarilycollege students, fortheir age equals to that of high school pupils.Psycho-emotional processes in the students’ consciousness and behavior atthat ageare caused by the end of biological and physical development and adaptation to new conditions of studying and living. Our previous research allowed us to determine the condition and dynamics of psycho-emotional indicators during the first academic year against the background of low physical activity. The question of how particular physical activity influences the dynamics of these indicators among college students remains to be unanswered. The aim of the research is to determine the dynamics of indicators of psycho-emotional condition among 15–16 years old students from Medical College. Research methods and techniques like analysis and generalization of scientific literature, documentation, pedagogical observation, SAN and mathematical statistics were applied. The results of the research. Any reliable changes towards either more positive or negative side have not been detected among students from Experimental Group (EG), though indicators of well-being and mood of students from Control Group (CG) have considerably decreased (p≤0,05) during the pedagogical experiment. The reliable deterioration of the CG students’ well-beingfrom have been noticed in comparison with the EG students on the 2nd stage of the experiment. The conclusions. The data obtained from the pedagogical experiment have proved the positive effect of implementation of team-building techniques into physical education of college students on their psycho-emotional condition indicators
PRACTICAL IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MODEL OF FORMATION OF CADETS\u27 READINESS TO ENSURE INFORMATION SECURITY IN PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
The mass introduction of information technologies in the activities of state structures has made it possible to transfer the efficiency of their functioning to a qualitatively new level. Unfortunately, as a means of action, they have characteristic vulnerabilities and can be used not only for good, but also for harm. For the state, as a guarantor of the stability of a civilized society, the issue of ensuring the security of information processing is particularly important. Despite the automation of many information processes, the most vulnerable link in the work of information systems remains a person. A person acts as an operator of information systems and a consumer of information. The entire service process depends on the competence of the operator and the quality of his perception. There are areas of government activity where the cost of error is particularly high. These include ensuring the life and health of citizens, protecting public order and the state system, and ensuring territorial integrity. The specifics of the spheres must be taken into account when ensuring the security of information. This study concerns official activities that are provided by paramilitary groups. Currently, there is a discrepancy in the level of competence of new personnel in the first months of service. The author traces the shortcomings of general and special professional qualities in the field of information security. The purpose of the study is to substantiate certain pedagogical means of forming cadets \u27 readiness to ensure information security. As forms of theoretical knowledge, we will use the traditional hypothesis and model, as well as functionally distinguishable judgments – problem, assumption, idea and principle. Empirical forms of knowledge will be observation (experimental method) and fixation of facts. To evaluate the effectiveness of the developed pedagogical tools, we use statistical methods: observation (documented and interrogated) and calculation of generalizing indicators. To formulate conclusions, we will use logical methods: building conclusions and argumentation. The approbation of certain pedagogical tools described in this article showed a significant positive trend in terms of competence in information security issues
CYBER VULNERABILITY IN LIGHT OF ONLINE LEARNING REALITY
Presently, as Covid 19 has caused most of educational processes to move online, cybersecurity and data protection is rapidly gaining importance in all educational institutions, and most of the academia became more vulnerable to cyberattacks. This article sheds some light on how communities of higher education institutions perceive increased online threats, what measures they take to protect themselves against cybercrime, whether they practice good security hygiene. This paper presents and analyses results of a survey conducted at higher education institutions (universities, colleges) into perception of cybersecurity, online culture and hygiene during the present times of remote education.
HEALTH AND ITS IMPORTANCE IN THE FAMILY CARE, EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIALIZATION PROCESS ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE FUNCTIONING OF PROFESSIONAL FOSTER FAMILIES IN SZCZECIN
Health is in the area of analysis of many sciences, e.g. psychology, sociology, pedagogy or philosophy. Each of them presents health and its specificity in a specific way. The most frequently indicated dimensions of health are: physical, mental (including intellectual and emotional), social, spiritual and transcendent. Contemporary pedagogical concepts of health emphasize that they can be considered as: value, resource (wealth), means, aim, a concept emphasizing the benefits of being healthy. Attention is also paid to the health mandala and the eudaimonic concept of family health. Thanks to these concepts, health is part of family care, educational and socialization processes. Parents, the main implementers of integrated interactions, create, among others, health behaviors, attitudes or lifestyle of their children. The subject of the research was the course of care, educational and socialization processes in professional foster families functioning in the city of Szczecin. The aim of the research was to find out about the specificity of family care, educational and socialization processes. The activities of professional foster families in caring for: children\u27s health, their health attitudes and behaviors as well as health as a value in human life were especially emphasized. The research method was to triangulate the diagnostic survey method with the qualitative dimension of the case study. The technique used for the study was a questionnaire, in-depth qualitative interview and direct observation. The obtained empirical material was subjected to an in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis with elements of interpretability of the data, however, efforts are being made to make a holistic diagnosis of the family. Axiologization of health attitudes in the surveyed families and making children aware of the need to take care of their own health on the basis of resources at hand are particularly significant for the armory.
THE LEADERSHIP OF EDUCATION RESEARCHERS IN LITHUANIAN UNIVERSITIES
The article gives overview and analyses the changes and development of scientific research on educational sciences in Lithuanian universities in the period of 1990–2004. The prepared and successfully defended dissertations show positioning of the research field of educational sciences: the leadership of education researchers is reflected by the diplomas of habilitated doctors and certificates of pedagogical title of professor. The statistical overview and evaluation of doctoral dissertations in the research field of educational sciences (social sciences) in the period of 1990–2004 reveal that training of education researchers occurred both in separate universities and in the networks of universities. The distribution of researchers in Lithuanian higher education is also discussed. The statistical data on habilitated doctors in social sciences and doctoral dissertations in education defended in the period of 1990–2004 illustrate the need to develop researchers of highest qualification in Lithuanian universities. The case study of Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences allows revealing the leadership of education researchers in training of doctoral students.
RELIABILITY AND VALIDITY OF THE LATVIAN VERSION OF THE EMOTION REGULATION SKILLS QUESTIONNAIRE
The aim of this study was to carry out the adaption of the Latvian version of the Emotion Regulation Skills Questionnaire (ERSQ-27)(SEK-27, Berking & Znoj, 2008) for adults witch evaluates nine dimensions of emotion regulation skills. The questionnaire was completed by 376 adults (82% women and 18% men), aged 18 – 69 years (M = 31.2, SD = 12.99). The calculations for the adapted questionnaire were made for the Cronbach’s alpha, test-retest reliability and determination of the convergent and factorial validity. The five-factor solution proposed by the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was tested and compared with the theoretically postulated nine-factor solution using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The nine-factor model results in the Latvian version questionnaire explain 72% of varienace, but five-factors – 59.76%. The results for EFA and CFA were both higher in the nine-factor model. The internal consistency coefficients (Cronbach’s alpha) of the scales varied from 0.64 to 0.82, test-retest correlations ranged between 0.82 – 0.94. Similar results of the factor analysis were found in other research studies. Findings from this study showed significant evidence for the reliability and validity of the ERSQ-27 and it would be advisable to continue using it in scientific research
PHARMACEUTICAL CARE AND EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION WITH CUSTOMERS
Nowadays, the provision of pharmaceutical care and effective communication with customers are being discussed more often. A pharmacist is a specialist in his field with specific knowledge in the field of pharmacy. Therefore, the trust from the customer’s side and a kind, informative, and professional approach from the pharmacist’s side are very important in this case. Objective: To clarify what knowledge do the pharmacy customers have about pharmaceutical care and how satisfied they are with the pharmaceutical care services. The research was conducted using a quantitative survey, the statistical analysis of the obtained data was carried out using data processing software Microsoft Office Excel 2010, 267 respondents from various regions of Latvia were surveyed. Only 37% of respondents understand meaning of pharmaceutical care. This means that most of the customers are unaware of the duties and responsibilities of a pharmacist. Most of the respondents associate pharmaceutical care with medication dispense, consultation and good customer service. It would be necessary to inform society about pharmaceutical care and its importance in healthcare. Conclusions: The hypothesis put forward in the thesis confirms that society needs to be informed about pharmaceutical care, and pharmacist duties and responsibilities.
DEVELOPMENT OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE ASPECT OF PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT IN THE CONTEXT OF A LEARNING ORGANIZATION
Today`s schools coexist with an environment that is constantly changing and shifting that is why modern schools should be open to new experiences, possibilities, become learning organizations. Also, educational institutions face the need for competencies in the formulation and implementation of competition policy, which in itself requires managerial knowledge based on an innovative approach. Moreover, the development of emotional intelligence integrated with the school curricula should be considered as one of the criteria for a school to become a learning school. Although some robust knowledge already exists about the positive impact of emotional intelligence development in educational settings. There is little to no research and theoretical data about the means to successfully integrate emotional intelligence development in schools as a context of learning organizations. Moreover, there is not any strong theoretical framework that links several ideas and theories on which they need for emotional intelligence development in learning schools could be based upon. Regarding this knowledge gap, this article aims to reveal the attitude of school staff about the development of emotional intelligence in the context of a school-learning organization. To achieve this goal, methods were used: scientific analysis of literature and documents and theoretical interpretations. Research results: peculiarities of emotional intelligence development in the context of personality development in the context of learning organization: how emotional intelligence is developed, its meaning and importance, possible perspectives, benefits for personality and organization-school in the context of learning organization (L. Vygotsky theoretical aspect). This justifies the need to organize personnel management and professional development processes in the development of emotional intelligence
