Rapid socio-political changes in the life of modern society make it necessary to prepare children for the development of social relations and various types of behavior in society from an early age. Such qualities as the ability to manage their behavior and ways of communication, the ability to choose appropriate behavior, orientation in new circumstances, a sense of their place among other people is the sphere of social development of the child, which contributes to their social well-being. The effectiveness of the implementation of the outlined tasks of social development of preschoolers is largely determined by the establishment of interaction between preschool education institutions and families of pupils. Only close relations of the preschool education institution on the basis of cooperation with the family provide conditions for the full process of socialization of the preschool child. Our research allowed us to find out the existing problems in socialization of the majority of children of senior preschool age, in particular: unformed ideas about "approved", "acceptable" and "unacceptable" forms of behavior; inability to establish and maintain positive relationships with others; short-term and unstable relationships with peers; unformed positive attitude to society and themselves; inability to solve problem situations. Purpose of article is to substantiate the psychological and pedagogical conditions for the socialization of the personality of a child of senior preschool age in the process of interaction between the family and the institution of preschool education. To achieve this goal, a number of theoretical and empirical methods were used: theoretical: analysis, systematization, and generalization of theoretical data presented in the psychological and pedagogical literature; empirical: a survey of educators using the method of T. Repina (2004), sociometric study "Birthday", observation of children\u27s behavior in joint activities and games.  In the process of organizing the work, the following methods and techniques have proved their effectiveness: organization of positive communication between parents, educators and children; involvement of parents in assessing the child\u27s progress, forecasting the prospects for the child\u27s development; encouraging parents to participate in joint work with the child and the teacher, the staff of the preschool institution; active listening to parents, trying to understand their problems, to help make a well-grounded pedagogical decision; building friendly, optimistic, cordial relations with parents

HORSE AND RIDER FACTORS OF PERFORMANCE IN SHOW - JUMPING DISCIPLINE

    Get PDF
Success in each sport is made up of certain factors. Therefore, it is necessary to be acutely aware of the factors and criteria that influence performance in a particular sport. Horse riding is a very unique sport as it is a sport where two different organisms cooperate in terms of mass, size, thinking, and physical, psychological, tactical abilities and skills, as well as characteristics. It is a sport where there is practically no age limit, and where women compete alongside men. Therefore, it is difficult to find literature where several authors come to an agreement. There are often several different opinions, including on the performance-enhancing factors in the equestrian show-jumping discipline. It is quite important to evaluate the possible factors and reach a consensus in order to crystallize a possible unified system. The aim of the research is to determine the factors contributing to the performance of the rider and the horse in the show jumping discipline in different age groups. Research methods: Scientific literature review and analysis. Main results and conclusions. By theoretically researching and analysing the literature, it should be concluded that there are no concrete factors contributing to the attributed performance in the specific age stages, which can basically create uncertainty as well as consensus of opinions in future studies due to the influence of the generalization of these factors. From the context of the studied materials, it should be concluded that there is an insufficient theoretical basis, which is evidenced by a relatively narrow spectrum of topical issues. Therefore, the obtained theoretical information allows to create a basis for further practical research, thus expanding the theoretical base in the context of the current issue.

Emotional abuse can cause severe effects on person`s emotional development, e.g., sense of worthlessness, wearing away confidence and self-esteem, anxiety, depression, etc. Psycho-emotional wellbeing becomes essential for the adolescent to become successful at school, which can be reached through emotional support, understanding and self-discovery. Emotional abuse quite often is not recognized, because of possible judgement from family, friends, teachers and community members. Silence about emotional and physical abuse can be the result of fears and emotional abuse situations which can seem as normal for the victim. Therefore, the first step to solve mental problems is becoming aware of a problem and reducing stigma about mental health. Survey results highlight the need for parents to improve their knowledge, attitudes and skills about emotional abuse and understanding of how to communicate with their children about possible emotional abuse situations at schools. Survey results also highlight that one of the main reasons why mobbing occurs is students` attitude towards difference of others e.g. different interests, lifestyle, appearance, clothes, way of communication, sexual orientation, etc.). Using theoretical and empirical research (survey) methods, the aim of the article is: to describe forms of emotional abuse, highlighting the link between emotional abuse and physical abuse and the impact of it on the emotional well-being of adolescent at school. The authors of the article have identified the main problems faced by students, teachers and parents in cases of emotional abuse

    Get PDF
Education can be enhanced via the application of the categorization method. Emotions’ categorization has been well addressed by the scientific community. However, research on emotions carried out in different disciplines enriches the existing knowledge with new findings and novel scientific contributions. The research aims at analysing scientific literature on emotions’ categories underpinning the elaboration of implications for educational practice. The method of categorization of the descriptive research is leveraged in this work for the characterisation of educational practice. Theoretical analysis allows concluding that emotions and education are linked. Emotions, being the innate part of an individual, drive the educational process. The educational process, built on the understanding of emotions as a cognition product, facilitates the development of individual’s emotions. The educational process is implemented in three phases, namely teaching, peer-learning, and learning. Each phase of the educational process has its own objective upon the development of education actors’ emotions. Organisation of only one or two phases of the educational process while omitting the other phase(s) leads to the imbalance of individual’s emotions. Quality of education is influenced by education actors’ emotions. Consequently, external and internal regulation of education actors’ emotions within the educational process might impact the quality of educatio

CRIMINAL LIABILITY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATIONS AND VEHICLE OPERATION REGULATIONS

    Get PDF
The constant increase in the number of vehicles in Latvia during the last twenty years has significantly increased the intensity of road traffic, thus causing an increase in the number of road traffic accidents. Holding a person criminally liable under Section 260 of the Criminal Law that provides for liability for the violation of the road traffic regulations and vehicle operation regulations is mostly affected by the precise determination of what a breach of these regulations is. However, there are several open theoretical and practical questions and the most important of which are shortcomings in the definition of a vehicle in Section 261 of the Criminal Law, which, as theoretical research and case-law has shown, hinders the achievement of the aim of the legal provision included in Section 260 of the Criminal Law in accordance with its meaning
