No full textThis reflection examines my summer research experience contributing to a collaborative review project on the chytrid fungus epidemic in amphibians. My role centered on systematically analyzing and synthesizing data from published experiments, with the goal of supporting the team’s effort to publish a review paper on alternative hosts of the fungus. While I entered the project expecting to primarily strengthen my analytical and critical thinking skills, the experience highlighted unanticipated weaknesses in organization and communication. Specifically, my tendency to overcommit to tasks and delay sharing progress created challenges in a collaborative context, prompting a reevaluation of how my work habits affect group momentum.
