Sustainable Farming Internship at Grow Food Northampton
From May to July 2025 I had the experience of working as a farming intern at Grow Food Northampton. I was on the farm twice a week and every day brought a new experience. Some days I gained experience with agroforestry while others I assisted with field trips for kids and helped with food access to the local area of Northampton. Grow Food gave me the opportunity to work with organic farmers and meet many other people passionate about sustainable agriculture. I gained a lot of knowledge about native and invasive plants as well as sustainable crop alternatives because of the hands-on experiences the farm gave me
CISLA Summer Internship at Avotra ONG
During my internship at Avotra ONG, I supported the mission of rehabilitating people, especially children, in need. My chief interest was medical, and I spent a lot of time with doctors who worked at the center seeing patients and learning about their health system. Beyond that, I became integrated into life at the center supporting education, social development, and infrastructural projects. I was able to improve my French and gain valuable skills for my future pursuits within the realm of community health

Summer Observing an Occupational Therapist
This reflection discusses my work this past summer shadowing a pediatric occupational therapist in Massachusetts, where I observed an experienced OT in clients\u27 homes. I followed the OT\u27s work in feeding therapy, reflex work, strengthening of fine and gross motor movements, and sensory integration. I collaborated and worked closely to schedule different observation times with the OT program supervisor of Leading Therapy Home
Archaeological Conservation Institute Summer Study Away
Eager to take advantage of a study abroad, with little time left at Connecticut College, I decided to pull the trigger and attend an archaeological study abroad in Italy and Greece. Having little background in archaeology and art history, and not knowing most people on the trip, I was a bit nervous. However, upon arriving, I was able to connect much of our conservation work to my environmental science major background
Latvia, Liberal Arts, and Lessons for Life
A chance conversation led me to join a study abroad program in Latvia, an experience that unexpectedly became one of the most transformative of my college career. Though unrelated to my biochemistry major, the course on Media and AI in the Baltics deepened my critical thinking, communication, and cross-cultural skills, tools essential for both scientific and personal growth. This experience reinforced the value of stepping beyond one\u27s academic comfort zone to embrace interdisciplinary learning and global perspectives
A Hug from the Art World Gallery Intern
This paper examines the structure and dynamics of an internship at A Hug from the Art World, a contemporary art gallery in New York City. It provides an overview of the internship process, the learning objectives established, and the professional skills emphasized in the experience. The discussion also considers the value of a liberal arts background in developing adaptability, communication, and organizational skills that transfer effectively to professional settings. By highlighting both the practical demands of gallery work and the realities of the larger art industry, the paper situates the internship as a case study in professional development, workplace culture, and career exploration
