    Willkie Farr and Gallagher Summer

    During the summer, I completed an internship with Willkie Farr & Gallagher in the Legal Recruiting and Talent Management Department, where I supported both administrative operations and pro bono legal work. My responsibilities included assisting with the firm’s recruiting initiatives as well as contributing to an immigration case by transcribing a legal decision and developing a checklist to guide attorneys handling similar cases in the future. Through these experiences, I strengthened key professional skills, including interpersonal communication, organization, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. This internship not only gave me insight into the dynamics of legal recruiting and talent management but also exposed me to the impact of pro bono work, deepening my understanding of the ways legal professionals contribute to both their firms and the broader community

    This reflection was an overview of my experience being immersed in local history work with the Old Mystic History Center in Mystic Connecticut. This text provides an overview of the skills gained from the experience and the lessons and insights that I gained throughout the experience in the summer of 2025. The internship\u27s main objective was to assist in managing physical and digital archives of the greater New London area dating back to the 17th century. I also was trained on interaction with visiting patrons visiting out of interest or research and helped historians aid the needs of the patrons. Writing this reflection gave much retrospective thought on the key and honest takeaways from this experience and what working in a field of local history is like, and learning from well-seasoned historians of their journeys in their respective careers. The internship was one that left me with mixed results and goals for my further career and the experience provided a wide variety of abilities that I did not have before I started

    Medical Assistant Certification- US Career Institute

    This summer I completed an online course through the US Career Institute (USCI) to become a certified clinical medical assistant. This program was suggested to me by a peer as we both were interested in careers in healthcare. This course was self-paced, and involved completing learning modules that had quizzes at the end of each section to assess our learning. After completing the course, I opted to go one step further and obtain certification through the National Healthcareer Association by sitting for the CCMA exam

    This reflection explores my journey through the Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP) at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine and how it shaped my personal and professional growth. My experiences caring for my brother with Angelman Syndrome and supporting my immigrant family in navigating healthcare inspired me to pursue medicine and motivated my interest in SHPEP. Throughout the six-week program, I engaged in academic coursework, clinical simulations, and public health research, all of which deepened my understanding of health disparities and strengthened my commitment to help the public. I gained valuable skills in communication, collaboration, and time management, while also earning my Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and working on a capstone project addressing minority women’s mental health in Los Angeles. This reflection highlights how SHPEP expanded my vision of medicine beyond science to include equity, cultural sensitivity, and community engagement. The program reaffirmed my goal of becoming a pediatric neurologist and emphasized the importance of creating a healthcare system where immigrant families and underserved communities feel supported and understood

    During a summer at the Berkshire District Attorney\u27s Office, I was able to participate in numerous outreach events, shadow members of the office, and create materials of my own. I was able to gain first-hand knowledge of how a prosecutor\u27s office creates a safe community, including: advocating for policy, prosecuting criminals, and creating crime prevention programs.     A summer internship spent living and working in a historical estate known as The Fells, former home to John Milton Hay. Hay served as private secretary to Abraham Lincoln and Secretary of State to Theodore Roosevelt. I worked as the Education intern, taking on curation projects throughout the house, as well as running programs including but not limited to art and writing programs, kids camps, and guest speakers. Through this experience I was also able to obtain skills regarding events planning, marketing, and community outreach. Additionally, The Fells is a non-profit organization so I had the chance to learn the ins and outs of what goes into running a non-profit and the importance of carrying out their mission

    Biobehavioral and Social-Emotional Development Lab at Boston University Research Experience

    The Biobehavioral and Social-Emotional Development lab studies how biological, behavioral, and environmental factors influence children aged 1-5 in the development of callous unemotional traits, which are early signs of maladaptive behavior, behavior disorders, and psychopathology. It uses multiple methodologies, such as eye-tracking, heart rate monitoring, computer game based tasks for children, and parent-child interactions to assess behavior. This summer, I worked as an intern for the BASE Lab. This paper explains my role as a research assistant, what I gained from the experience, and how I plan to use what I have learned for the future
