P3 2 Walking on a Flat Earth
Despite a globe Earth being an accepted fact, a small population of people believe the Earth is a flat disc. The inconsistent gravity would mean humans would need to walk at angles to stay balanced. We derive an expression for this tilt and find the angle to be alpha = arccos(a/r)^2. We discuss not only how this disproves flat Earth but also one absurd solution flat Earthers provide to solve this dilemma

Plastic pollution becomes more of a growing concern daily. Recycling is more expensive than making new plastics, and manufacturers require recycling incentives. This paper goes over how plastics graduated from being a resource to becoming a concerning pollutant, and some measures that could be implemented to control the overflow and revert the pollutant status of plastics. A3 1 For All The Money In The World
In this paper, the mass of all cash (coins and banknotes) in circulation around the globe in 2021 is estimated to be 7.56 ± 0.15 x 109 kg. Using figures from the US Federal Reserve and the US Mint, we calculated the mass of all cash in the USA. We then extrapolated this value, using a number of assumptions, to the globe’s top 21 most predominant currencies to find an estimate for the mass of all cash in the world

This paper compares different methods for producing enough energy for every household in the United Kingdom to boil a kettle at the same time. We found that the amount of CO2 that would be produced from burning coal to achieve this would be 2.32×10^6 kg. Another method would be to provide 1.71×10^8 solar panels
P2 4 Barry Steakfries and the Jetpack Joyride
We investigate the feasibility of using a twin machine gun jetpack for controlled flight as seen in the mobile game Jetpack Joyride. Utilizing two lightweight M134s, weighing 19 kg each, we found that this jetpack would support the weight of the average adult male and a stabilising counterweight, but would only have a flight time of 15 seconds

In this paper, we determined that the Lady Penelope’s car, named FAB 1 from the Thunderbirds 2004 film, has a weight of 32000 N (including passengers). With a takeoff lift of 32700 N, and an attack angle of around 16 degrees, the car could indeed fly, when ignoring drag. However, at a constant altitude with a 0◦ attack angle, along with a lower air density, FAB 1 had a lift of only 6340 N, resulting in the car being unable to keep a steady altitude

In this paper, we investigate how long Count Dracula, from the show ‘Young Dracula’, would have to travel at half the speed of light, 0.5c, for him to reach 600 years old, his age on the show, relative to a stationary observer on Earth. Using the equation for time dilation, we find that he would need to travel for 520 years. Using the kinetic energy equation, we also find that he would require 6.04 × 10^9 J of energy to travel at this velocity

In this paper, we investigated the speed one would have to travel at for a red traffic light to appear green due to the Doppler effect. We determined that if a vehicle was travelling at a speed of 9.7x107 ms-1 (or 30% the speed of light), a red traffic light would appear green due to the Doppler Effect, allowing you to continue on your high-speed journey uninterrupted
