The role of expressive art therapy and neurofeedback assessments in improving clinical hypnosis adherence among anxiety sufferers
Despite worldwide concern on anxiety, preventive measures in public health industries remain scarce. Among the issues raised by previous research, therapeutic adherence is a vital component that increases the treatment efficacy of anxiety sufferers. The polyvagal theory-focused intervention is suggested to effectively deal with the adherence issue associated with anxiety concerns by addressing the broad biopsychosocial perspectives. This research intended to generate polyvagal-focused therapeutic guidance in line with anxiety sufferers. The researcher uses polyvagal theory informed expressive art therapy and neurofeedback assessment. The assessment identifies issues among anxiety sufferers. These interventions may be helpful or not helpful to the processes as well as the empirically examined outcomes of the intervention. In addition, it examined both the beneficial and the unhelpful moderating factors of intervention impacting clinical hypnosis adherence. This research utilised the qualitative method with the grounded theory approach. Study samples scored either 8 in the Anxiety subscale or 15 in the Stress subscale of Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21). The respondents were selected through the snowball sampling method and analysed through semi-structured in-depth interviews for data collection after the intervention. About forty-five participants were involved in generating the outcome of this study. The findings showed that therapeutic adherence enhanced by this study's polyvagal-focused therapeutic guideline framework. This study also identified that expressive art therapy, neurofeedback, and clinical hypnosis are helpful interventions in improving anxiety. Furthermore, the researcher proposes the therapeutic clinical hypnosis guideline protocol for individuals with anxiety sufferers. The study's implications potentially offer a practical, innovative approach to therapeutic guidance development for enhanced anxiety sufferers' adherence through interventions (from early preventive stages) to deter full-fledged anxiety intricacies
Evaluation model for usability practitioners: a mobile application for low vision users
Many people depend on mobile applications to perform daily activities. However, people with low vision that unable to fully correct their vision with glasses require usable applications that match their abilities. Unfortunately, existing usability evaluation models use generalized measurements that are ineffective to evaluate mobile applications to ensure their suitability for low vision people. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to develop a mobile application usability evaluation model for low vision users. The first and second phases of this study were to identify the usability requirements and measures of mobile application for low vision users. The methods used were analysing literature content using Systematic Literature Review method and interviewing ten low vision mobile application users. A qualitative analysis software was used to analyse semi-structured interview data. In the third phase, a new model was developed using the Quality in Use Integrated Measurement method. The proposed model was then reviewed using the expert review approach by six knowledge and practitioners for improvements in the final model. Finally, the developed model was evaluated in a focus group session with six practitioners, and also usability testing with nine low vision users which was analysed by using descriptive statistical. This study has developed a model that includes six usability dimensions, fifteen usability criteria and fifty-six usability metrics. The model is able to identify low vision users’ difficulties and suggest a solution to improvise the mobile application design. The model may enrich the body of knowledge in the Human-Computer Interaction area, especially in the field of usability evaluation. It helps usability practitioners to discover mobile application usage problems faced by low vision users, which are difficult to discover by previous models and suggest a solution to improvise the design. This ensures convenience and privacy for low vision users when using a mobile application
Analisis wacana bahasa perundingan Nabi Yusuf a.s. dalam penyelesaian konflik
Language is considered the main foundation in studies on negotiation as language is used as a means for reconciling souls in conflict. Although there are many studies on the negotiation of discourse on the narration of the Qur'an, mainly from Surah Yusuf, however, the study is only descriptive based on a limited study of linguistic stature in terms of grammatical structure in a limited unit of verses. The study focuses less on the characteristics of language used by negotiators and its relationship to social processes that can be worked on through critical discourse analysis methodologies. This causes the understanding and interpretation of the narrative discourse of the Qur'an to experience a narrowing of meaning, thus narrowing the scope of the philosophy of language that can be examined through the study of semiosis. Thus, this study was conducted to examine the negotiating language of Prophet Yusuf a.s. through three objectives, namely to identify the characteristics of the negotatiation language of Prophet Yusuf a.s. in resolving intrapersonal and interpersonal conflicts, explains the discursive practices practiced by Prophet Yusuf a.s. in the discourse of his negotiation and analyze the dimension of compassion in the social process of the discourse of Prophet Yusuf a.s through his negotiation practices. This study is a qualitative study that employs data collection techniques in the nature of document analysis. A discourse analysis framework on the text of the Qur’an was utilized through the al-Zuhailīy Tafsir Model, Fairclough Three Dimensional Discourse Analysis, and Wodak Discourse Historical Approach in addition to several major theories from Arabic linguistics and theories from the West as a complement. From the analysis, it is concluded that the negotiating practice of Prophet Yusuf a.s. was formed from a problem-solution pattern. This practice is seen through the internal analysis of the text, i.e. the characteristics of the text and discursive practices. The features of the text begin with the determination of topics and themes that factor into lexical identification and style of negotiation language. From the analysis of discursive practice, this framework is envisioned from the way discourse is processed through details on discourse structure, discourse strategies as well as the discourse intertextuality and interdiscursivity. External analysis of the text in turn utilizes the dimension of courtesy as a practice of negotiation that exhibits the quality of negotiation based on the awareness that every action and speech is in the observation and evaluation of Allah s.w.t. The combination of language and social studies from the field of religious discourse analysis can further expand the exploration of the Qur'an, especially in providing solutions to the problems of the ummah
A balanced partitioning mechanism for multicontroller placement in software-defined wide area networks
Through softwarization, Software-Defined Networking (SDN) may govern the network. Deploying a single controller to manage enormous network traffic is inefficient; hence, having multiple controllers is a necessity of current SDN in wide area networks (WANs). However, the controller placement problem (CPP) is a thriving research subject for efficiently placing many controllers to improve network performance. It has two parts: how the controllers should be distributed and how many
networking devices each controller should be connected to. Consequently, the objective of this study is to propose a Balanced Partitioning Mechanism (BPM) based on the notion of a network partition. Moreover, the BPM is designed based on a modified K-means algorithm. BPM comprises of two approaches: the initialization
method and the partitioning strategy. The farthest-point initialization method is introduced to reduce end-to-end delay between the controllers and switches. The balanced partitioning strategy is used to balance controller loads and partition the network into balanced partitions. The research adopted the Design Science Research
Methodology (DSRM) to accomplish its objectives. The network simulator OMNeT++ was configured to simulate the performance of BPM over the OS3E topology, with two scenarios including five and six domains. The K-means and CNPA algorithms, in particular, were used to evaluate the performance of BPM. In terms of balanced partitioning, the findings reveal that BPM outperforms the K-means and CNPA algorithms by maintaining a good load balance among controllers.
Furthermore, the results show that BPM improves throughput and reduces end-to-end delay between the controllers and switches. In addition, BPM improves the number of packets received by the destination to the number of packets sent by 23% and 29% compared to the K-means for five and six domain scenarios, respectively. Given the diversity of future Internet and IoT, the findings have significant implications for improving the performance of WAN networks
Determinant factors that influence financial literacy amongst young Muslims generation

As reported in 2018 alone 47% or 2971 divorce cases out of 6901 cases are due to financial problems. The causes of divorce among young couples are that they make marriage a trend without having strong financial planning and the couple is too young. Besides, parents and peers have an important role to wisely advocate young couples in regards to the fundamental values in marriage institutions as most of the couples lacking of underlying principles that are empirical according to Islam and beliefs. Therefore, the objectives of this research are to examine the factors that contribute to financial literacy amongst young couples and to identify the relationship between the determining factors and the level of financial literacy as well as to identify the correlation between the determining factors and the level of financial literacy. This research uses a quantitative methodology and the data obtained from questionnaires were distributed by using stratified random sampling to the participant from the pre-marriage course around the district of Ipoh. The primary data was analysed using SPSS version 23.0. The correlation analysis result shows that all variables have a significant linear relationship since the p-value is below 0.01 (p < 0.01). The regression result also displayed a strongly significant t-value of 9.999 (financial knowledge), 2.939 (social influence) and 4.919 (underlying principle). Therefore, all these variables influenced the level of financial literacy among respondents and correlated in a positive direction. Therefore, the findings of this research showed that independent variables; financial knowledge, social influence and underlying principle have a significant relationship with the level of financial literacy amongst young Muslim generation. This research is restricted only in the district of Ipoh. Hence, the future research may expand to the state of Perak including the other races and use both qualitative and quantitative methods
Predicting occupational accident at automotive manufacturing industry in Malaysia using decision tree technique
According to the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) in 2018, manufacturing industry accounted for 91.2% of temporary disability cases and 6.9% of permanent disability cases. Even though there is an increasing number of research on analyzing occupational accidents at automotive manufacturing industry in Malaysia, each research aimed for different purposes and methods. This study predicts the tendency of temporary and permanent disability by accurately identifying the characteristics of workplace accidents that occurred within automotive manufacturing in Malaysia. Decision Tree was used to build the predictive modelling of occupational accidents at automotive manufacturing industry. Decision Tree models were constructed with various algorithms (Chi-square, Gini Index and Entropy), numbers of tree branches (two and three) and data partitions (80/20, 70/30 and 60/40). The different models were compared to determine the best model for predicting and identifying the effects of occupational accidents. The best model was a three-branch decision tree model using Chi-Square as the nominal target criterion and 60/40 data partition. The testing accuracy value is 75.52%. The most important variables in the model were types of accident, cause of accidents and job types. This study produced a set of significant factors in explaining safety workplace system and built a predictive model for predicting effect of occupational accidents. It can be served as a guideline to safety management in automotive manufacturing industry in Malaysia
The effects of macroeconomics policies on housing affordability in Malaysia
Housing affordability remains conundrum in Malaysia despite the initiatives taken by the government. Malaysia's median multiple house price has surpassed the three times median annual household income threshold for housing affordability over the past two decades. This implies that Malaysian housing is severely unaffordable, resulting in supply overhang issues which cause non-profitable investment to the developer from previously built housing units. This study aims to explore the role of government intervention through macroeconomic policy, including monetary and fiscal policies, on housing affordability in Malaysia. This study employed Public Interest Theory to emphasise the significance of government intervention in a market involving public interest, as a government is a benevolent regulator with adequate information and absolute enforcement powers. The Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) and Vector Autoregression (VAR) estimation techniques were employed on quarterly data involving 61 observations from the first quarter of 2006 until the first quarter of 2021. The results revealed that money supply, government expenditure and tax have significant short and long-run impacts on housing affordability except for interest rates. The long-run cointegration between fiscal policy variables (i.e., tax and government expenditure) and housing affordability in conjunction with its significant short-run relationship has highlighted the pivotal role of fiscal policy in influencing housing affordability. Monetary policy is only effective through changes in money supply (in both the long and short run) and interest rates (only in the short run) in the Malaysian housing market. Policymakers are recommended to emphasize more on regulating fiscal policy than monetary policy in order to promote housing affordability in Malaysia efficiently. In the future, studies related to perspective from supply-side could also be incorporated to obtain a more comprehensive estimated model
A framework for measuring sharia-compliant e-commerce success of halal companies in Malaysia
The advancement of technology has accelerated the growth of online businesses, also known as e-commerce. To ensure the authenticity of halal transactions, it is critical for the halal industry that platforms offering halal products adhere to sharia practices. This study aims to develop a framework for measuring sharia-compliant e-commerce success by identifying the criteria of information quality, system quality, and service quality using the well-established DeLone and McLean IS Success Model and exploring how halal e-commerce companies managed these quality aspects in the context of sharia business practice. Qualitative multiple case studies were carried out with four halal e-commerce companies in Malaysia and data were gathered through face-to-face semi-structured interviews. This study focused on top managers’ perspectives instead of consumers’ views about e-commerce success measures. This study developed a framework for measuring sharia compliance e-commerce success based on the input from literature and the semi-structured interviews, which were then validated by experts in the field of sharia and e-commerce to further enhance its pertinence to the industry. The findings revealed that information quality criteria include reliability, verification, clarity, format/presentation, timeliness, and completeness; system quality criteria include user-friendliness, integration, availability, and adaptability; and service quality criteria include assurance, responsiveness, empathy, and trusted delivery. Furthermore, the study discovered that halal logistics, Islamic business ethics, trust, and halalan-toyyiban were important factors in determining halal companies' sharia-compliant e-commerce success in Malaysia. This study contributes to the existing literature on IS success by developing a framework that integrates the e-commerce success model and sharia-compliant management practices in halal business. The study also provides guidelines for the government, halal authorities, and halal e-commerce providers to implement more effective strategies and governance in order to achieve successful sharia-compliant ecommerce uptake in the country. The limitations and future research directions are also presented
