Research on the Application of Artificial Intelligence in Hand Rehabilitation by Estimating Hand Grip Force using EMG Data
The human hand is a complex and functionally significant anatomical structure, playing a critical role in daily activities, communication, and professional tasks. Any impairment due to injury, neurological disorders, or musculoskeletal diseases can severely affect an individual's quality of life. Conditions such as stroke-induced hemiparesis, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and tendon injuries often necessitate rehabilitation to restore function, minimize pain, and prevent secondary complications. Traditional rehabilitation approaches, while beneficial, generally follow a standardized methodology, failing to account for individual variations in muscle strength, neuroplasticity, and adaptive capacity.Modern rehabilitation methods leverage advanced technologies such as electromyography (EMG) and hand grip force measurement to enhance therapy effectiveness. Additionally, artificial intelligence (AI) applications, particularly Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks and Transformer models, have emerged as promising tools for personalized rehabilitation. These models analyze EMG signals to predict hand movement intentions, enabling adaptive rehabilitation strategies tailored to individual needs. This study focuses on the construction of a real-time EMG signal acquisition system and uses them as input to LSTM and Transformer models to compare and analyze the performance of the two types of models. By demonstrating the superiority of applying AI for personalization over the general AI approach, this study highlights the potential of AI in hand rehabilitation in particular and healthcare in general with its ability to specialize for each individual patient

Security Mitigation of the Open Journal System (OJS) Against Online Gambling Content Hijacking Using the ISSAF Framework
The urgency of this research is to identify the causes, develop mitigation methods, and enhance the security of OJS websites, as many are infiltrated or hijacked for online gambling or other harmful content. Securing OJS websites is never easy because attacks are increasingly diverse and innovative every day. OJS system security is essential to protect the information contained therein and protect the services provided by scientific journal publishers. The ISSAF framework, which uses a simulation approach similar to a real server, can serve as a basis for identifying OJS Website vulnerabilities in Webmin for a system administrator. The results of the identification in this study indicate that the leading cause of OJS web server attacks originates from outside the simulation environment, specifically the internet network via ports 80/443. Vulnerability Session Hijacking with Cookies receives a CVSS vulnerability score of 9.1. A vulnerability in the web server configuration folder structure, traceable by crawler tools, receives a CVSS vulnerability score of 5.3. Repeated login attempts to the OJS system are not banned, and blocking the Attacker's IP receives a CVSS vulnerability score of 6.5. A file with the .php extension was successfully uploaded; it may be a backdoor file with a CVSS vulnerability score of 5.3. Although the OJS PKP changed/forced the file to .txt, the malicious file could be exploited in the future by unauthorized users. The novelty of this research lies in a server simulation that mimics a real server and the ISSAF framework for assessing the security of the Webmin web-based system administration tool on OJS websites
Design and Development of a Competency Certificate Surveillance System for Electrical Technical Personnel using a Disruptive RSM Design Approach
The competency certificate for electrical technical personnel serves as formal evidence that an individual is qualified to work in the electricity sector and has a validity period of three years, requiring periodic surveillance to ensure regulatory compliance. In practice, the surveillance process is still largely conducted manually by Competency Certification Bodies (LSK), resulting in administrative inefficiencies, delays in certificate renewal, fragmented documentation, and limited traceability of surveillance records. These challenges not only burden certification bodies and certificate holders but also affect regulatory supervision performance. This study aims to design and develop a competency certificate surveillance information system for electrical technical personnel using a disruptive Recognise–Scrutinize–Materialize (RSM) design approach. Data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis to identify existing problems and system requirements. The RSM method was applied to systematically align stakeholder needs with national regulations and international standards, including ISO, IEEE, and NIST guidelines. The results of this research produce a regulation-based surveillance system design in the form of a structured mock-up that integrates automated reminders, digital document validation, standardized surveillance workflows, and real-time monitoring dashboards. The proposed system is expected to improve efficiency, data accuracy, transparency, and regulatory compliance in the surveillance and renewal process of competency certificates. This research contributes novel insights into the digitalization of competency certificate surveillance, a topic that has received limited attention in previous studies, particularly within the electricity sector.
