    RANCANG BANGUN PERANGKAT UJI PERFORMA PANEL SURYA DENGAN SISTEM DATA LOGGER BERBASIS MIKROKONTROLER

    The escalating demand for electrical energy necessitates accurate forecasting by PT. PLN (Persero), the primary electricity provider. This study focuses on analyzing electricity consumption trends at PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 South Makassar from 2023 to 2025 using the Artificial Neural Network Backpropagation method through Matlab R2020a. Experiments were conducted to ascertain the optimal model architecture by iterative testing of various configurations. The best outcomes were achieved utilizing six input variables, encompassing energy consumption data from the social, household, business, industrial, public, and special service sectors in South Makassar spanning 2017 to 2022. The hidden layer comprised 18 neurons, while the output layer featured a single neuron representing electricity consumption in MWh for 2023 to 2025. Forecasting results exhibited a high level of precision with an average Mean Absolute Percentage Error (% MAPE) of 10.47% and a Mean Squared Error (MSE) value of 1.0742. This remarkably accurate forecast encompassed an error margin of approximately 10%-20%. Examination of neural network training yielded the best training performance graph and a correlation approaching 1 between output and target. These prognostications furnish a robust foundation for PT. PLN (Persero) in formulating prudent policies to meet the anticipated surge in energy demand.     The Turikale Feeder, supplied by GI Maros, has a total line length of approximately 54.2 km, a load of 4-8 MVA, and a current of 120-200 A. However, one obstacle faced by the Turikale Feeder distribution is the voltage at the receiving end, which falls outside the tolerance limit set by PLN. The PLN voltage tolerance limit is a maximum of +5% and a minimum of -10% of the nominal voltage. The output medium voltage value of the GI Maros power transformer is recorded at 20.147 kV, but calculations show that there are values below 19 kV, which does not meet PLN standards. To address this issue, there are plans to increase the power factor to 0.95 by installing three capacitors with a rating of 400 kVAR in the 20kV medium voltage network. The research aims to simulate the Turikale distribution network of PT PLN (Persero) ULP Maros and analyze the impact of capacitor bank placement on power quality parameters such as losses, voltage profile, power factor, reactive power, apparent power, and active power of the repeater. The data used in the study includes line data, distribution substation data, transformer capacity, load capacity, and substation voltages obtained from PT PLN (Persero) ULP Maros through observation techniques.Based on the results of research in the form of simulations in ETAP 16.0.0, it can be seen that there is a reduction in power for each reactive power of 847.043 kVAR and active power of 31.52 kW. Meanwhile, active power losses decreased by 49,511 kW and reactive power by 76,793 kVAR. Meanwhile, the average voltage drop was reduced from the initial 3.84% to 0.21%. The power factor value before placement was around 0.8363 and after placement it was 0.962.

    Analyzing the Role of Automatic Voltage Regulator towards Excited Synchronous Generators on the Sultan Hasanuddin Training Ship

    Voltage instability in a synchronous generator can lead to system instability, affecting the quality and ability to transfer power to consumers. The worst-case scenario is load- shedding. To prevent this, the Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) is used to control the voltage stability of the synchronous generator. However, the AVR is often damaged, which prompted us to investigate its role in stabilizing the output voltage of the synchronous generator. This study was conducted on the Sultan Hasanuddin Training Ship owned by the Marine Science Polytechnic (PIP) Makassar using experimental research methods. Data collection techniques included observation, measurement, and documentation, and quantitative descriptive methods were used for analysis. Results indicated that the role of the AVR on the Sultan Hasanuddin Training Ship was insignificant since changes in generator load did not result in high fluctuations. The excitation current on the voltage amplifier or the output voltage of the synchronous generator remained within the working limit. This was proven by the generator's rotation speed, which ranged from 1470 to 1500 rpm, and a generator load of 36 to 38 kW

    Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk merancang suatu modul praktek yang dapat mensimulasikan proses pemilahan kotak dengan bahan material berbeda dalam hal ini bahan besi atau bahan plastic yang mana proses pemilahannya ini dilakukan di sebuah sistem konveyor atau sabuk berjalan (conveyor belt). Modul praktek yang dirancang ini merupakan modul simulator jenis software dimana luaran yang dihasilkan diharapkan dapat membantu dalam proses pembelajaran praktek PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) di kampus vokasi. Proses pembuatan modul praktek ini dimulai dengan pengumpulan data, desain antarmuka, pemilihan input-output digital, desain tampilan HMI, pembuatan kode program simulator dan pembuatan program kendali berbasis PLC. Luaran penelitian yang dihasilkan berupa modul praktek simulator konveyor pemilah barang yang dikendalikan dengan PLC telah diuji coba secara fungsional dan menyeluruh dan diperoleh hasil yang sangat baik dan layak untuk dipergunakan sebagai alternatif pengganti trainer berbasis hardwar

    In this paper proposed optimal solution for Economic Dispatch (ED), problem has been suggested by Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). PSO could schedule operating generator with to consider fuel cost, satisfying load demand and operational constraints so that optimal optimization results are obtained. In this article, the ED problem is formulated as a single objective problem by considering the fuel cost of generating units. Test cases, having no valve point effect without transmission loss has been operated by PSO. In order to view the effectiveness of the suggested algorithm, , it has been compared with other algorithms in the literature. Results show that the PSO is more powerful than other algorithms

    Uji Eksperimental Fenomena Water Hammer dengan Variasi Ketinggian Surge Tower

    In this study an analysis of the water hammer process was carried out in a piping installation with two pumps of different specifications arranged in a single arrangement. The solution given as a form of water hammer protection is variations in the height of the surge tower in piping installations. The aim of this research is to identify the phenomenon of water hammer in piping installations with different pump discharges and the effect of the height of the surge tower as a damper against pressure fluctuations that occur. The test is carried out by closing the valve suddenly and varying the height of the surge tower to determine the pressure value that occurs due to the water hammer effect. From the experimental test results, it can be seen that a surge tower with a height of 1 meter can best dampen back pressure due to the water hammer effect at a discharge of 2.4 m3/h. The theoretical and experimental analysis shows that the addition of a surge tower can reduce the pressure due to the water hammer effect. The pressure drop is 2.6 kg/cm2 to 2.2 kg/cm2 in pump installation 1 and the pressure drop is from 4.6 kg/cm2 to 1.8 kg/cm2 in pump installation 2. The use of a surge tower with a height of 1 meter can best reduce back pressure with 2.78 hours s at a discharge of 1.4 m3/h

    The use of corncob powder is very wide in various industrial fields, namely as a source of dietary fiber, the basic material for making bio-plastics, partial replacement of cement in the manufacture of concrete, functional chemicals, oyster mushroom cultivation media. The most efficient method in producing corncob powder is the Ball Mill Process. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of working volume and milling time on the characteristics of corn cob powder. The research procedures include specimen preparation (including cutting and drying processes) and milling processes. The results obtained were then characterized using a scanning laser microscope (LSM) to analyze the morphology and size of the product, lower working volume results in a smaller powder production with a needle-like sharp edge morphology and a higher work volume also results in a powder that has a blunt edge morphology. Although working volume can potentially be used to control particle size, this parameter has a direct effect on powder yield. As for the long milling time, it produces a smaller powder size than the faster milling time.Â

    Artikel ilmiah ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan alternatif dalam merevitalisasi program jaminan hari tua (JHT) yang dilaksanakan oleh Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (BPJS) Ketenagakerjaan untuk menghindari potensi bencana kependudukan. Dalam penyusunan artikel ilmiah ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif, dengan membangun konsep revitalisasi menggunakan data sekunder dari buku dan sumber yang relevan. Revitalisasi program JHT dapat menstimulus para pekerja untuk ikut serta dalam program tersebut. Implementasi dari pada revitalisasi JHT bisa berperan sebagai mitigasi dalam bencana kependudukan. Mitigasi bencana tersebut dilakukan oleh penduduk sendiri melalui persiapan dalam menghadapi usia tidak produktif dengan megoptimalkan masa masa produktif untuk menabung dalam menghadapi hari tua. Progam yang ditawarkan ini memiliki potensi untuk berperan sebagai langkah mitigasi dalam menghadapi bencana kependudukan dengan menciptakan keberlanjutan sosial dan ekonomi bagi para peserta program JHT

    Optimalisasi Perangkat Satellite News Gathering berdasarkan Threshold Level Power

    Kehandalan perangkat Satellite News Gathering (SNG) sangat berperan penting dalam mendukung tercapainya kualitas siaran televisi dan penyiaran informasi yang optimal. Namun, permasalahan utama dari SNG, yaitu seringkali terjadi overpower pada proses pengiriman sinyal informasi dari perangkat SNG ke transponder satelit. Hal ini diakibatkan karena belum adanya standarisasi penggunaan perangkat uplink SNG. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai daya terima perangkat SNG sehingga dapat dijadikan sebagai dasar dalam penentuan standar nilai daya pada perangkat Encoder, HPA dan Converter dengan mengacu pada threshold daya di sisi transponder ≤ 8,1 dB. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melakukan simulasi penyiaran secara langsung dengan mengaktifkan semua perangkat SNG secara bersamaan. Hasil dari pengujian di lapangan kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teori link budget. Dari penelitian, diperoleh data bahwa kondisi optimal perangkat   SNG dapat bekerja pada input nilai level daya yang diterima sebesar 18.5 dBm dengan menghasilkan  level daya terima pada perangkat SNG sebesar 7.9 dBm. Sedangkan metode kedua diperoleh hasil optimal perangkat SNG dapat bekerja pada input nilai level daya yang diterima sebesar 8.5 dBm dengan perolehan level daya yang diterima pada perangkat SNG sebesar 7.9 dBm
