    Development of a Color-Based Image Recognition System for Robotic Sorting and Picking

    This research presents the development of an automated object sorting and picking system using a robotic arm controlled by colour-based image recognition. The system is designed to enhance efficiency and accuracy in manufacturing processes by eliminating the need for manual sorting. A Dobot Magician robotic arm, an Arduino microcontroller, a conveyor belt, a photoelectric sensor, and a camera are integrated to achieve this goal. Colour segmentation is implemented using the HSV colour space, enabling the system to accurately classify objects based on colour. Experimental results demonstrate the system's ability to successfully sort objects of three colours in a random sequence with 100% accuracy over ten trials.Penelitian ini menyajikan pengembangan sistem otomatis untuk menyortir dan mengambil objek menggunakan lengan robotik yang dikendalikan oleh pengenalan gambar berbasis warna. Sistem ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi dalam proses manufaktur dengan menghilangkan kebutuhan akan penyortiran manual. Sebuah lengan robotik Dobot Magician, mikrokontroler Arduino, sabuk konveyor, sensor fotoelektrik, dan kamera diintegrasikan untuk mencapai tujuan ini. Segmentasi warna diterapkan menggunakan ruang warna HSV, memungkinkan sistem untuk mengklasifikasikan objek berdasarkan warna dengan akurat. Hasil eksperimen menunjukkan kemampuan sistem untuk berhasil menyortir objek dengan tiga warna dalam urutan acak dengan akurasi 100% selama sepuluh uji coba

    ANALISA KEGAGALAN ENGINE STUDI KASUS CONNECTING ROD PADA ENGINE BULLDOZER KOMATSU D85ESS-2

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendalami material Connecting Rod D85ESS-2 dengan fokus pada analisis kegagalan dan evaluasi sifat mekanisnya. Data dikumpulkan pada sistem Engine yang memiliki nilai Risiko Prioritas Tinggi (RPN). Metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab kegagalan. Analisis dilanjutkan dengan metode Fish Bone untuk mendetailkan faktor penyebab, operator, supervisi, mekanik, kondisi mesin (kerusakan pada Rubber Mounting Mesin), prosedur (kurangnya Layanan Periodik, absennya Jadwal Overhaul), dan aspek material (fatigue pada Connecting Rod, keausan Connecting Rod dan Bearing). Metode Vickers pada pengujian kekerasan Connecting Rod, Nilai rata-rata kekerasan dari keenam titik pengujian adalah 290 N/mm². Terjadi penurunan kekerasan pada bagian Beam (titik 1-3) ke bagian Big End dan Rod Cap (titik 4-6). Nilai dengan kekerasan tertinggi adalah pada titik 2 dengan nilai 328 N/mm², sedangkan nilai kekerasan terendah adalah pada titik 4 dengan nilai 245,5 N/mm².  Hasil Uji Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (EDS) dominasi oleh unsur Besi (Fe) dengan persentase massa 96,42%, persentase atom 89,40%, dan persentase mol 98,97% berdasarkan hasil analisis komposisi. Oksigen (O) menyumbang sekitar 2,85% dari massa, 9,22% dari atom. Aluminium (Al) memiliki kontribusi massa 0,46%, atom 0,89%, dan mol 0,49%, sementara Silikon (Si) hadir dengan massa 0,27%, atom 0,49%, dan mol 0,54%. struktur mikro menunjukkan adanya fasa α (Fe) dan fasa β (Si), dengan fasa α yang mendominasi. Ditemukan juga adanya aglomerasi dalam struktur mikro, yang berpotensi mempengaruhi sifat mekanis yang menjadi titik awal terbentuknya retakan akibat tegangan internal yang berlebih

    Design and Construction of a Controlled Temperature Food Product Dryer Based on a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)

    Drying food products using traditional methods relying on sunlight takes a relatively long time, especially with unpredictable weather conditions. Essentially, artificial drying using heat-based equipment provides several advantages, including: independence from weather conditions, adjustable drying capacity, controlled temperature, no need for extensive space, controlled drying conditions, and guaranteed and uniform drying quality. Therefore, this design aims to create a food drying apparatus with PLC control. PLC is used as the controller for this drying apparatus, allowing automatic drying of certain types of food. In this design, we connect a DC motor to rotate the drying cylinder with a PLC device by creating a ladder diagram and determining the inputs and outputs in the CX-Programmer application. The design utilizes three inputs and two outputs. It is important that the I/O is readable by the PLC so that the system operates according to the programmed instructions

    A Comparative Study on the Impact of Technology-Enhanced Language Learning on ESL and EFL Students: A Systematic Review

    The goal of the study was to get a deeper understanding of how technology-enhanced language learning is utilized to teach and learn languages in higher education. This review follows the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) recommendations. The review begins with a description of the identification process. The best articles published between 2000 and 2022 have been selected to demonstrate how to compare significant aspects and valuable strategies. These articles were selected in accordance with EFL and ESL students. The results are organized into three categories, with the following topics occurring most frequently in the reviewed publications. Researchers may apply task-based learning, communicative, flipped classroom, and other instructional strategies. The second section deals with research instruments. The questionnaire, interview, test, forum group discussion, and observation were utilized to collect data. In conclusion, researchers have compiled a list of publications to be analyzed based on their most current research queries

    Pemanfaatan Kulit Kemiri Sebagai Bahan Subtitusi Agregat Halus Dalam Pembuatan Paving Block

          Beton adalah bahan konstruksi yang umum digunakan dalam berbagai proyek konstruksi, termasuk pembuatan paving block. Campuran beton standar melibatkan agregat kasar, agregat halus, semen, dan air. Namun, inovasi dalam bahan tambahan beton terus berkembang untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan kinerja beton. Salah satu bahan tambahan yang menarik adalah kulit kemiri, yang dikenal memiliki struktur keras yang berbentuk menyudut. Kulit kemiri memiliki potensi untuk mengisi rongga-rongga pada beton dan meningkatkan daya serap beton. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pengaruh penambahan kulit kemiri dalam campuran beton terhadap sifat daya serap dan kekuatan paving block beton. Studi ini mencakup lima variasi dengan persentase penambahan kulit kemiri yang berbeda, yaitu 0%, 15%, 20%, 25%, dan 30%. Masing-masing variasi dianalisis melalui pembuatan 70 benda uji berbentuk persegi panjang dengan ukuran 8 cm x 10,5 cm x 21 cm, yang diuji pada usia 28 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan kulit kemiri dalam campuran beton mengakibatkan penurunan nilai kuat tekan paving block beton. Penurunan ini mungkin disebabkan oleh struktur berongga kulit kemiri yang mengurangi kekuatan beton. Namun, hasil yang menarik adalah peningkatan daya serap beton dengan penambahan kulit kemiri. Kulit kemiri yang berongga dapat menyerap air dengan baik, yang dapat mengurangi risiko genangan air pada permukaan paving block saat hujan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan kulit kemiri sebagai bahan tambahan dalam beton memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan daya serap, meskipun dengan sedikit pengorbanan dalam hal kekuatan. Oleh karena itu, penambahan kulit kemiri dapat menjadi pertimbangan dalam proyek konstruksi di mana daya serap dan resistensi terhadap genangan air menjadi faktor penting.     Compound Critiquing Approach for Laptop Recommendation in Conversational Recommender System Using Collaborative Filtering

    This study proposes a method for laptop recommendation in a conversational recommender system (CRS) by integrating collaborative filtering with the Apriori algorithm. The CRS interacts with users to help them find laptops that match their preferences, allowing them to provide feedback or critiques on the recommendations. This research emphasizes the use of compound critiques, which allow users to express preferences on multiple attributes at once, leading to more personalized recommendations. The Apriori algorithm identifies frequent itemsets from these critiques, which are then used to iteratively update recommendations. Evaluation results show that the High Support (HS) strategy, which focuses on commonly preferred features, produces more efficient recommendations, with a shorter average session duration of 38.01 seconds compared to the Low Support (LS) 41.30 seconds and Random (RAND) 50.49 seconds.     Analisis Efisiensi Boiler Menggunakan Metode Direct dan Indirect pada PLTU Jeneponto 2×135 MW

    Salah satu mesin industri yang perannya sangat penting yaitu boiler. Boiler dalam perusahaan ini merupakan asset yang sangat penting bagi perusahaan, apabila terjadi masalah pada sistem boiler, maka kelancaran steam (uap) akan terganggu sehingga efisiensi boiler akan mengalami penurunan, oleh karena itu sangat diperlukan untuk mengkaji ulang kinerja mesin agar tidak terjadi pemborosan energi. Objek utama pada penelitian ini ialah Boiler PLTU Jeneponto 2 × 135 MW. Metode yang digunakan untuk menentukan efisiensi boiler yaitu metode langsung (Direct Method) dan metode tak langsung (Indirect Method). metode langsung (Direct Method) yaitu energi yang didapat dari fluida kerja (air dan steam) dibandingkan dengan energi yang terkandung dalam bahan bakar boiler, sedangkan metode tak langsung (Indirect Method) yaitu efisiensi merupakan perbedaan antara kehilangan panas (Heat loss) dan energi yang masuk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar penurunan efisiensi boiler. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dengan metode langsung (Direct Method) efisiensi boiler di tahun 2021 dan 2022 yaitu 42,63 % dan 64,11 % sedangkan dengan metode tak langsung (Indirect Method) efisiensi boiler sebelum dan sesudah overhaul yaitu 80,09 % dan 80,71 %.  Nilai kehilangan panas (Heat Losses) karena gas buang yang kering (Ldg) sebelum dan sesudah overhaul sebesar 6,40 % dan 5,87 %. Kehilangan panas karena penguapan air yang terbentuk oleh adanya H2 dalam bahan bakar (LH) sebesar 6,25 % dan 6,21 %. Kehilangan panas karena penguapan kadar air dalam bahan bakar (Lmf) sebesar 5,50 % dan 5,48 %. Kehilangan panas karena kadar air dalam udara (Lma) memiliki nilai yang sama yaitu 0,26 % , dan kehilangan panas karena radiasi dan kehilangan lain yang tak terhitung (Luc) sebesar 1,5 %

    Development of Learning Media for Pneumatic Control Systems for Separation and Transportation of Goods Based on Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)

    Pneumatic systems have advantages compared to other systems, pneumatic systems can support quality, productivity and efficiency of work. The research process starts from designing, developing existing tools to testing pneumatic system tools controlled using PLC and HMI. The results show that the design and development process started from adding color sensors and HMI from the system to be created. Then make modeling with the Festo Fluidsim application. After the capitalization is carried out, the hardware assembly is divided into two parts, namely the main and supporting hardware. The main hardware consists of a metal separator system, color separator and robotic arm, while the supporting hardware such as tables, conveyors and control panels. Once the hardware is complete, the PLC and HMI programs are made, the PLC uses MELSOFT Series GX Works2 software and the HMI uses Live Studio software. When the hardware and software are complete, testing and data collection of the tool work are carried out. Tool testing is carried out to determine the required bar pressure with a 100% success rate

    Design and Development of Solar Pump System for Automatic Watering of Shallots

    Agriculture is a key sector of the Indonesian economy, with shallots being one of the most important commodities. However, limited access to electricity in rural areas is often a barrier to the implementation of efficient irrigation systems. This research focuses on developing an automatic shallot irrigation system using a solar pump. The system is designed by using solar panels to convert solar energy into electricity to power the water pump. They use an Arduino-based control system integrated with a real-time clock (RTC) to automatically set the watering schedule so that plants can be watered at the right time without human intervention. Tests were conducted on 96 m² of land to evaluate the performance of the automation system, energy efficiency, and system performance under actual operating conditions. The testing results show that the system can operate efficiently, with the solar panel generating enough energy to power the pump and maintain watering continuity. The system can reduce dependence on conventional electricity, providing a sustainable and environmentally friendly irrigation solution. As such, the system provides an effective solution for agricultural systems in areas with limited access to electricity, while supporting the use of renewable energy
