    PEMANFAATAN VIRGIN COCONUT OIL (VCO) DALAM PEMBUATAN LIPBALM DI PERUMAHAN BSS 2

    BSS 2 Housing in Moncongloe Bulu Village, is a tropical area, and has few trees, dry places and hot weather. This condition is caused by the rampant massive mining of land for the purpose of landfills for development in the city of Makassar. This hot weather impact on the skin, especially on the lips. Lips become dry and peel so moisturizer needed that can maintain healthy lips like lip balm. The ingredients that can be used to make lip balm is virgin coconut oil (VCO). The people in this village have limited access to knowledge about the benefits of VCO for skin health and do not know the technique of making lip balm using VCO. VCO is made using a heating method. Lip balm is made from natural ingredients, mixture of VCO and beeswax. VCO was colored by adding dragon fruit and carrot skin extract. Through the community service program, an introduction was given and taught how to use VCO in making lip balm in a simple and practical way. Partners were enthusiastic during the PKM activities. The provision of the equipment and materials needed was carried out so that partners could make VCO and use it in making lip balm.     The purpose of this activity is to provide understanding and skills for creating and preparing simple financial reports based on the Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small, and Medium Entities (MSMEs) to the managers of the BACHISS banana chip business, which is a productive MSME prioritized in Pinrang Regency. The methods employed include interviews, lectures, discussions, and integrated training on bookkeeping for all business transactions using Microsoft Excel. The result achieved is that the BACHISS banana chip managers can prepare their business financial reports in accordance with the specific accounting standards for MSMEs. The conclusion of this financial management training for MSMEs is that it was successfully and smoothly executed according to the planned activities. Based on the training and mentoring process, as well as the discussions and Q&A sessions conducted by the service team with the BACHISS chip MSME, the participants have gained valuable understanding and knowledge about the importance of preparing financial reports.     PENGGUNAAN METODE BIOFILTER PADA PENURUNAN LIMBAH CAIR

    The soap industry is one industry that is often found in Indonesia. The soap industry produces liquid waste with a high organic material content. As a result of the disposal of liquid waste produced from the soap industry without prior treatment resulting in pollution of the aquatic environment, it is necessary to have an alternative treatment using a biofilter. This study aimed to determine the effect of variations in the feed flow rate on reducing COD and TSS of liquid soap waste in Samarinda in the anaerobic biofilter process. This study uses the principle of an anaerobic reactor. The variations in the flow rate used in this study were 6 L / hour, 5 L / hour, 4 L / hour, 3 L / hour, and 2 L / hour. Parameters measured were COD and TSS and pH parameters (as additional parameters). In this study, the best percentage reduction in COD and TSS levels was obtained at a variation of the flow rate of 2 L / hour with a decrease in COD of 72.80%, a decrease in TSS of 65.06%, and a pH of 7.25.     This study investigates the impact of service quality on guest satisfaction within the F&B Service Department at Grand Tjokro Premiere Hotel Bandung. With the growing competition in the hospitality industry, understanding the relationship between service quality and guest satisfaction has become crucial. Utilizing a quantitative research method, data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 122 guests using a Likert scale. The analysis employed simple linear regression to examine the influence of service quality on guest satisfaction. The findings reveal that service quality significantly affects guest satisfaction, with a determination coefficient of 59.9%, indicating that service quality accounts for this proportion of guest satisfaction. High-quality service, including well-maintained facilities, responsiveness, and courteous staff, leads to higher guest satisfaction. The results underscore the importance of continuous improvement in service quality to enhance guest experiences and foster loyalty. This study provides valuable insights for hotel management to refine service strategies and improve overall guest satisfaction.     The Manimbahoi village has considerable potential for tomato production. However, prices frequently decline during peak harvest periods, which results in an oversupply of the product. The objective of this community service programme was twofold: firstly, to introduce tomato processing techniques with a view to increasing the added value of the product; and secondly, to develop the technical skills of the community. The methods applied included socialisation on the diversification of agricultural products and technical training in the production of tomato sauce. This encompassed the selection of quality tomatoes, washing, peeling, cooking with additives, and hygienic packaging. Moreover, the programme included training in small business management, including production cost calculation and pricing, with the objective of enhancing the competitiveness of the product in local and regional markets. The outcomes of the programme demonstrated an enhancement in the community's knowledge base and expertise in processing tomatoes into products with augmented economic value, coupled with an increased awareness of the significance of hygiene standards in production.     PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT MELALUI SOSIALISASI PENGOLAHAN LIMBAH INDUSTRI TAHU DALAM PENANGANAN PENCEMARAN LINGKUNGAN

    The community service activity aims to conduct socialization and education for the community, particularly tofu vendors, to process waste generated from industrial activities, such as okara and air pollution, as a step towards environmental pollution control. The activity was conducted at the Tahu Karang Anyar craft center, involving 35 local community members. The activity was conducted through a dissemination model and training/demonstration to achieve the expected outcomes. The initial phase of the activity involved management and organization of okara storage (Good House Keeping), followed by the processing of okara into a product through solid-state fermentation (SSF) using a substrate made from solid okara. Additionally, a simple wet scrubber design was provided as a demonstration tool to reduce air pollution. The results of the community service activity involved the processing of solid waste (okara) to produce maggot feed and compost. The activity also involved introducing a simple air pollution control system using a scrubber that can reduce carbon monoxide levels by approximately 78% and particulates, which can be implemented in tofu industries.     SDN 79 Mambue, located in Mambue Hamlet, Nisombalia Village, Marusu District, Maros Regency, was established on December 31, 1980. The school faces the issue of not having handwashing facilities (washbasins) on its premises. To address this problem, the installation of washbasins in the school was carried out. The targets and expected outcomes of this IbM (Science and Technology for the Community) implementation are: (a) Fulfilling the need for a healthy lifestyle by utilizing washbasins for regular handwashing. (b) Instilling the habit of maintaining personal hygiene from an early age. (c) Preventing various diseases through regular handwashing, such as respiratory infections, diarrhea, and parasitic worm infections among students. To resolve this issue, the plan involved installing several washbasins in front of the classrooms. This initiative aims to meet the need for a healthy lifestyle by promoting regular handwashing, encouraging personal hygiene from an early age, and preventing diseases like respiratory infections, diarrhea, and parasitic worm infections. Based on the activities carried out, the identified problems have been effectively addressed as outlined in this report, primarily through the installation of handwashing facilities (washbasins) and the successful transfer of scientific and technological knowledge, which has provided direct benefits to SDN 79 Mambue in Nisombalia Village.     Optimasi Beban Dinamis Pada Alat Uji Suspensi Seperempat Roda Kendaraan Bobot Ringan Terhadap Getaran Suspensi

    Abstrak: Suspensi merupakan faktor utama yang harus perhitungkan karena sangat mempengaruhi kenyamanan saat berkendara di jalanan. Mekanisme kerja suspensi yang terdiri atas pegas spiral dan schock absorber mendapat beban secara vertical dari berat bodi, pengemudi dan penumpang. Bentuk permukaan jalan yang tidak rata berupa lubang dan tinggi gundukan secara signifikan akan mempengaruhi kenyamanan bagi pengendara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kerja suspensi dan nilai optimal getaran yang terjadi pada salah satu roda kendaraan terhadap beban dinamis vertical. Metode yang digunakn dalam penelitian ini diawali dengan metode simulasi gerakan aktuator pneumatik yang membebani suspensi menggantikan bobot kendaraan dengan variasi tekanan 1 sampai 4 bar. Selanjutnya dengan metode Taguchi dipakai untuk menentukan kondisi optimum beban dinamis pada sistem suspensi  dengan kriteria “Smaller is better” yang diperoleh melalui perhitungan nilai beban dinamis pada sumbu roda kendaraan bobot ringan sebesar 1615.252 N pada tekanan 1 bar;  2323.232 N, pada tekanan 2 bar; 3030.82 N pada tekanan 3 bar; dan 3738.213 N pada tekanan 4 bar, dengan nilai optimum getaran pada suspensi menurun sebesar 49.65 %.  Variabel dimensi gundukan, tekanan ban, dan berat muatan, merupakan faktor yang diperlukan untuk menentukan kondisi  beban dinamis optimum. Hasil nilai optimum tersebut, diperoleh level tinggi gundukan 5 cm, tekanan ban 32 Psi, beban muatan 84 kg, serta beban dinamis 71 kg. Menurut formula konstribusi getaran F table > F Value, maka faktor A (tinggi gundukan) dan faktor D (beban dinamis)  merupakan faktor yang sangat berpengaruh, sedangkan faktor B  (Tekanan Ban) dan Faktor C (beban muatan) merupakan faktor yang tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan.   Kata kunci : Optimasi ; Getaran Suspensi ; Aktuator Pneumati

    Pembuatan Paving Block Porous menggunakan Recycled Concrete Aggregate (RCA) dengan Variasi Tumbukan

    Pembangunan di Indonesia tergolong pesat dan merata, salah satu bagian penting dalam Pembangunan sarana transportasi adalah konstruksi perkerasan jalannya. Paving block hadir sebagai Solusi serbaguna dan estetik untuk jalan setapak, jalan masuk, trotoar, dan ruang luar ruangan lainnya. Salah satu jenis dari paving block adalah paving block porous yang berdasarkan sifatnya memiliki porositas tinggi, berbeda dengan paving block biasa yang mempunyai sifat porositas dipengaruhi oleh material yang digunakan. Penggunaan Recycled Concrete Aggregate (RCA) dapat memberikan solusi dari pengurangan penggunaan material alami seperti abu batu, Karakterfisik agregat kasar recycled memiliki perbedaan mendasar dibandingkan yang normal yaitu penyerapan tinggi, rasio rongga udara, keausan tinggi dan bulk density rendah sehingga baik digunakan dalam pembuatan paving block porous untuk mendapatkan nilai porositas dan kuat tekan yang tinggi. Dalam kegiatan ini benda uji yang dibuat berjumlah 126 buah, dengan pebagian 72 buah untuk pengujian kuat tekan, dan 54 buah untuk pengujian porositas berdasarkan komposisi campuran setiap variasinya. Hasil pengujian didapatkan nilai kuat tekan tertinggi PPF5 33.08 MPa dan PPF10 40.08 Mpa, memenuhi kriteria mutu B dan A untuk paving block menurut standar SNI SNI 03-0691-1996. Nilai porositas tertinggi PPH5 27.34% dan PPH10 26.51%, memenuhi kriteria persen porositas 15-35% untuk paving porous menurut ACI Tahun 2010
