Polarised Raman spectroscopy data of nematic liquid crystals 5CB and E63
We report polarised Raman spectroscopy properties of the well know liquid crystals, 5CB and E63 in order to investigate the different order parameters values obtained from different Raman active vibrational modes. These data files include the relevant depolarization ratio data for 5CB and E63 separately and for each liquid crystal, we've also included data for two vibrational modes, which are cyano and phenyl stretching modes

Climate model data presented in 'Acceleration of northern ice sheet melt induces AMOC slowdown and northern cooling in simulations of the early last deglaciation': hs1
This dataset contains output from a set of two published global climate simulations that investigate the role of ice sheet melting in the onset of Heinrich Stadial 1 ocean circulation and climate changes ~18.5 thousand years ago. The simulations were run with the HadCM3 general circulation model at the University of Leeds. Here, the simulations are named 'lgm_control' (set up to simulate the climate of 21 ka) and 'hs1', which is the simulation presented in the associated manuscript: Ivanovic, R. F., Gregoire, L. J., Burke, A., Wickert, A. D., Valdes, P. J., Ng, H. C., et al. (2018). Acceleration of northern ice sheet melt induces AMOC slowdown and northern cooling in simulations of the early last deglaciation. Paleoceanography and Paleoclimatology. https://doi.org/10.1029/2017PA003308. The hs1 simulation is the same as lgm_control, but it also includes a transient ice meltwater flux to the ocean derived from the ICE-6G_C global ice sheet history. The data is provided in NETCDF3 format within zipped directories corresponding to the two simulations and the routing of ICE-6G_C meltwater. For each simulation, we provide the freshwater forcing files (i.e. model input) and model output. Model output is provided as time-series for a range of ocean, atmosphere and vegetation data. See the accompanying README.txt for a list of supplied output variables as well as more information on the directory structure for the data
Geodetic slip inversion software incorporting fractal properties - slipBERI
This dataset contains the matlab function slipBERI and all other codes required to run slipBERI, as of September 2018. This function performs a slip inversion using geodetic dataset, incorporating fractal properties through von Karman regularisation. Nanoscale compositional segregation and suppression of polar coupling in a relaxor ferroelectric - dataset
A number of relaxor ferroelectric ceramics have been demonstrated to possess a near stable value of relative permittivity over very wide temperature ranges. This cannot be explained by conventional theories of relaxors. One such system is based on the perovskite solid solution series: (1-x) (Ba0.8Ca0.2)TiO3-xBi(Mg0.5Ti0.5)O3, giving stable relative permittivity from 150 to 500 °C. We show by scanning transmission electron microscopyand electron energy loss spectroscopic elemental mapping that nanoscale compositional segregation occurs in the temperature stable relaxor composition (x = 0.55), with Ba/Ti clusters some 2–4 nm in extent, separated by Bi-rich regions of comparable size. This nanomosaic structure is consistent with phase separation into a ferroelectrically active BaTiO3 – type phase (Ba/Ti rich) and a weakly polar Bi/(Mg) rich perovskite solid solution. The possibility that nanophase segregation is the cause of weak dipole coupling and suppression of the dielectric relaxation peak is considered

The data presented here supports the results presented in the associated manuscript on the production of Oil Layer Inside Microbubbles and the conformation of the presence of their oil component. Briefly: Microbubbles (MBs) are used medically as contrast agents for ultrasound imaging and are being developed for the delivery of water soluble drugs. However, many new therapeutics require hydrophobic drug delivery systems. This study presents a new method to produce MBs coated with an inner oil layer (OLI-MBs) capable of encapsulating hydrophobic drugs and suitable for targeted, triggered release. This new method utilises high control flow-focus microfluidics with lipid oil nanodroplet self-assembly and spreading at gas-aqueous interfaces. OLI-MBs were produced with diameters of 2.4 ± 0.3 μm (standard deviation 1.6 μm) and at concentrations up to 10^6 bubbles/ml
