Bibliography of Anglophone staged productions of Mikhail Bulgakov's work in Britain and the United States of America, 1934-2024
This bibliography of Anglophone staged productions of Mikhail Bulgakov’s (1891-1940) work in Britain and the United States of America from 1934-2024 has been compiled as part of Hannah Klimas’ PhD research project funded by the White Rose College of the Arts and Humanities. As of the publication date, this bibliography was the most complete bibliography of Anglophone staged productions of Mikhail Bulgakov’s work in Britain and the United States of America in Anglophone scholarship
Dataset for "Phage Display Identifies Affimer Proteins that Direct Calcium Carbonate Polymorph"
Dataset supporting a study in which a phage display approach is used to identify proteins – rather than the short peptides typically identified using this method – that can direct calcium carbonate formation. A 1.3 X 1010 library of Affimer proteins was displayed on modified M13 phage, where Affimer is a 3 kDa protein scaffold that displays two variable regions of 9–13 residues. The phage displaying the Affimer library were then screened in binding assays against calcite and aragonite at pH 7.4, and four different strongly-binding proteins were identified. The two aragonite-binding proteins generated aragonite when calcium and magnesium ions were present at a 1:1 ratio, while the calcite-binding proteins produce magnesium-calcite under the same conditions. Calcite alone formed in the presence of all four proteins in the absence of magnesium ions. In combination with molecular dynamics simulations to evaluate the conformations of the proteins in solution, this work demonstrates the importance of conformation in polymorph control, and highlights the importance of magnesium ions, which are abundant in seawater, to reduce the energetic barriers associated with aragonite formation

Dataset for 'Parametric resonance, chaos and spatial structure in the Lotka-Volterra model'.
The dataset contains the data for generating the figures in the paper, as well as the LaTeX tikz commands and sample python scripts. The calculations are done with some fixed parameters (kappa_0 = 0.25, a_star = 1, and for the PDE calculations, diffusion constants = 1, domain = 500x500, number of Fourier modes = 512x512). The parameters that are varied are alpha (from 0 to 1), kappa_1 (from 0 to kappa_0) and n (from 0 to 1). For each combination of parameter values, the mean-field ODEs and the PDEs are solved numerically
Diffraction measurements and modelling underlying the text Solution Structure of Titan-Relevant Aqueous Ammonia by Neutron Diffraction
A data supplement to the article, "Solution Structure of Titan-Relevant Aqueous Ammonia by Neutron Diffraction", published in Communications Chemistry in August 2025 (https://doi.org/10.1038/s42004-025-01599-8). The data relates to the differential neutron scattering cross sections measurements, taken over the period 20-22 February 2023 at the ISIS Neutron and Muon Source, using the NIMROD diffractometer, with isotopically substituted samples of aqueous ammonia. The data presented includes the reduced neutron diffraction measurements (the mint files), a journal that will serve as a key to mint files, i.e., to which sample they relate, and the EPSR working directories. The EPSR Software is available at https://www.isis.stfc.ac.uk/Pages/Empirical-Potential-Structure-Refinement.aspx. At each iteration of EPSR, text files are output which summarise aspects of the simulation, and including the radial distribution functions that form the core of the results
Predictive modelling of the COMATOSE transporter reveals a conserved ligand binding pocket for acyl-CoAs and validates previous functional studies

Data for Understanding Novel Biocomposites Comprising of Short Cellulose Fibres in a Hybrid Cellulose-Silk Fibroin Matrix
Data from Biopolymer blends offer a promising route to tunable, high-performance biomaterials, yet their potential in
reinforced composites remains underexplored. This study investigates biocomposites produced by reinforcing a hybrid biopolymer matrix (90:10 cellulose:silk fibroin) with randomly oriented short cotton fibres and varying the reinforcement weight percentage. A pure cellulose matrix was tested for comparison. The composites were characterised using X-ray diffraction (XRD), density analysis, tensile testing, optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and acoustic insulation analysis. Optimal hybrid composites with 50 vol% reinforcement exhibited superior performance to pure cellulose, achieving a Young's modulus of 3.3 ± 0.3 GPa, strain at failure of 1.4 ± 0.2%, and maximum tensile strength of 42 + 6 MPa. These enhancements were attributed to the hybrid matrix's reduced viscosity and improved solvation capacity allowing higher fibre loading and stronger interfacial adhesion. In addition, the hybrid matrix's greater xtensibility enabled more efficient stress transfer to the fibres, maximising mechanical performance. Fibre content was identified as the primary driver of material modulus, underscoring the critical role of reinforcement. Flock content was then shown to correlate with improved acoustic insulation performance redto a maximum average acoustic transmission loss of 47 ± 7 dB in hybrid samples compared to 29 + 4 dB in cellulose samples. This work demonstrates the viability of hybrid biopolymer blends for creating low-density, high-performance materials from short-fibre textile waste with sustainable applications in insulative structural engineering
