A study of interviews with mental health workers who worked at a psychiatric hospital in A city, Fukushima prefecture, at the time of the Great East Japan Earthquake－What remains in their memories even now, more than 10 years later－
Get PDF本研究では、東日本大震災時において幅広いメンタルヘルスの課題を抱える人々の地域生活支援、入院支援、退院支援を担う職務を遂行するだけでなく、著者自身も被災者として業務を遂行していたという事実から、福島県の精神科医療機関に勤務していた精神保健福祉士6 名を対象として、「2011年3 月の被災当時より10年以上経過した現在でも印象に残っていること」について、一人約1 時間のインタビューを実施した。インタビュー内容は研究方法に基づいて事前に協力者の同意を得て分析した。
その結果、「主に業務に関すること」「主に生活に関すること」の2 つの大カテゴリーが抽出され、精神保健福祉士としての体験や記憶だけでなく、「被災者（生活者）としての体験や記憶が10年経過した今もなお記憶に残っている」ことが分かった。In this study, the author interviewed six mental health social workers (working at psychiatric hospital in Fukushima Prefecture) who, at the time of the Great East Japan Earthquake, were performing duties such as community life support, hospitalization, and discharge support for people with various mental disorders, while also being victims of the disaster themselves. The interview lasted approximately one hour per mental health social worker, and they were asked about “things that still leave an impression on them more than 10 years after the March 2011 disaster.
The interview content was analyzed based on research methodology and with the prior consent of the participants. As a result, two major categories were extracted, mainly “work-related” and “life-related” and it was found that “experiences/memories as a disaster victim (a person living in the disaster area)” and“ experiences/memories as a mental health worker” are still remembered more than 10 years after the disaster.departmental bulletin pape
