Durability performance of Green Concrete Incorporating Various Wastes: A Review
The present manuscript stands for the review on the topic of durability attribute of concretes developed by means of green conception with incorporation of a variety of solid industrial waste slag from Ground Granulated Blast Furnace, silica fume, rice husk ash, pulverised fly ash, glass powder waste as well as materials that have undergone recycling in order to know its degree of sustainability. It is highly sought-after to transform these types of waste into a precious adding up materials in place of Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) in building-up of Green concrete with affordable cost and more essential with a little carbon footprint. How far these Green concept concretes have succeeded in context to its durability characteristic is the principal focus of this review study. There prevails an enormous demand for cost-effective construction materials for offering enough residences and infrastructure networks to get rid of the burgeoning population on the planet earth. The centre of attention is to make researcher, engineer and infrastructure related peoples, as well as construction industry au courant of absorbing the, dissipate materials and their promotion as an acceptable, sustainable and cost-effective building materials. The apposite standards of durability and still excellent researches on the sustainability of this novel Green concept concrete will encourage for espousal of gargantuan construction and infrastructures projects globally. Looking to the above facts, it can be predicted that the said Green technology bestows the impression to have dazzling potential and its approval in construction industries which establishes it as the most promising future edifice material
دور حروف المعاني في توجيه المتشابه اللفظي في الخطاب القرآني
In this study we seek to discover the pivotal role played by the letters of meanings in the direction of the meanings of similar verses in the Holy Quran; by studying the most prominent models in which there is a difference in the use of the letters of meanings. This study will require us first to define the letter, and then specify the properties of the letters of meanings, in addition to the definition of the concept of "similar verbal Quranic". It is certain that this study will not be a statistical survey of all the contents of the Holy Quran, but will be limited - as we have mentioned - to the most important models that caught the attention of scientists; both of them specialized in the study of the Koranic verbatim, or other grammarians and linguists and interpreters
تمثيل الذّات الأنثويّة والآخر في رواية "سأقذف نفسي أمامك" لـ: ديهية لويز.
The Algerian women's novel came at a time when the distances crossed, and the lines and beliefs differed. The creative self-image of the female parallel to the man's creative self was the predominant intellectual food, in addition to other means, which could assimilate the feminine self and seek answers that varied in different cultures. To the desired ends, and it did not stop at the self-affirmation of the feminine, but to the desire to prove the creative value of works of art, which was written with pens, and this created a confrontation between the female self and the other man, which was exceeded A later to write in the self and the other remained on topics affecting the reality, whether from near or far, including identity, history, social intolerance and others, according to her imagination, creative and means consistent with the time. After the lengthy reading of many of the novels, we finally settled on choosing the code "I will throw myself in front of you" by: Deheia Louise, to be the subject of the study, entitled "Representation of the feminine self and the other in the novel" I will throw myself in front of you " Representing the female self and the other in this novel
المكان في الشعر العربيّ القديم بين التوثيق والتلقّي من خلال نماذج من "المفضّليّات" و"المعلقات"
In old Arab poetry space construct a documenting dimension conveyed by proving various events and things. This documentation serves communication with the receiver. This dimension grants proper nouns a two-fold role: the real and the imaginary
LTTP Data Analysis: Factors Affecting Pavement Roughness for the State of California
The contributions of pavement structure and features, rehabilitation techniques, climatic conditions, traffic levels, layer materials and properties, pavement distress, and other factors causing changes in pavement smoothness are not well documented. As a result, it becomes difficult to select the appropriate pavement structure, design features and rehabilitation strategies to ensure pavement smoothness. This study focuses on analysing the available LTPP data for asphalt pavements in California by investigating the correlation between the pavement roughness and the effect of pavement temperature, precipitation, fatigue, age of pavement, rutting, and the average annual daily truck traffic. IRI has been identified as the factor characterizing pavement smoothness. Results indicated that when diving pavement sections between three different groups according to the annual precipitation for pavement section in the State of California, the IRIchange can be predicted with 93.5% accuracy for sections with less than 200mm of annual precipitation, 85.9% accuracy for sections with annual precipitation between 200mm and 90mm, and 90.1% for sections with annual precipitation higher than 900mm
Elaboration of geopolymer cement based on dredged sediment
This work aims to study the feasibility of making a geopolymer cement based on dredged sediments, from the Fergoug dam (Algeria). Sedimentary clays were characterized before and after calcination by X-ray diffraction, ATG / ATD, spectroscopy (FTIR) and XRF analysis. The reactivity of the calcined products was measured using isothermal calorimetric analysis (DSC) on pastes prepared by mixing an alkaline solution of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) 8 M in an amount allowing to have a Na / Al ratio close to 1. Also, cubic mortar samples were prepared with a ratio L / S: 0.8, sealed and cured for 24 hours at 60 ° C and then at room temperature. The results obtained allowed to optimize the calcination time of 5 hours for a better reactivity of these sediments, and a concentration of 8M of sodium hydroxide and more suitable to have the best mechanical performances
Mechanical Behaviour of Corrugated Laminates
The present research work intends to perform a wide set of structural analyses upon corrugated composite laminated panels and based on these analyses, to assess their mechanical response in correspondence to the constructive solutions, which may range from the composite materials selection to the geometrical features and other modelling parameters. To improve the mechanical performance of those panels one may consider enhancing their geometrical characteristics, their corrugation shape configuration and the materials used to build them. In this latter case, when considering materials selection, laminated composites may also constitute an important alternative. In any case it is considered necessary to assess the impact that each of these parameters may have in the static and in the free vibration behaviour of the structures, in a comprehensive and detailed way. To achieve the main objective of this research work, a comprehensive and diversified set of case studies is considered in order to characterize the influence that each of the modelling, material and geometrical parameters and characteristics may have in the mechanical response of a corrugated panel. This study allowed concluding that for the wide set of design parameters considered, the fibre orientation and corrugation parameters are the ones responsible for the majority of the significantly improved performances
Non-linear finite element investigation on the behavior of cold-formed plain lipped C-section in shear, and combined bending and shear
The paper provides numerical simulations, based on the finite element method (FEM) using the software package ANSYS/Standard, of high strength C-section cold-formed steel purlins in shear and combined bending and shear. The simulations were compared with the previous research on a variety of section sizes and thicknesses. The reasonable results of the numerical simulations show that finite element analysis can be used to predict the ultimate loads of thin-walled members including the post-buckling behavior of thin-walled sections in shear and combined bending and shear. It reveals that finite element analysis can therefore be used to design and optimize thin-walled sections of high strength steel. Direct Strength Method (DSM) design rules for C-sections in shear and for combined bending and shear both with and without tension field action can be investigated using this FE model
