Among the most important findings that have been reached is that many researchers in the field of the Arabic language, especially in its rhetorical aspect, do not realize that the fundamentalist research in rhetorical discourses and their principles had preceded many results in revealing the meaning and semantic that their study did not reach in the research of Arabic rhetoric scholars who came after them, except after a while. And that the scholars of the jurisprudence origins "Usul Al-Fiqh" have singled out discursive issues in this field that others did not deal with, in language generally and in rhetoric particularly whether at the level of the singular or the compositions

This work looks into the sub-threshold space in the novel "Costa or Awdatou Banou Oumaiya" by Mohammed Saleh Albuemrani. Our concern with the term is not limited to textual thresholds as studied by Gerard Genette in his work "Seuils" but we will also look at the term threshold according to the Russian scholar Mikhail Bakhtin as an inter-space connected to the moment of transformation and the time of crisis. It is a space of fear, turmoil and apprehension, a time of dread, conspiracies and intrigues. In fact, the work is an application of two different visions of the term threshold of which the text makes a combination
