The growing fighting spirit of the Acehnese people against the Dutch colonialists has been documented in history. One factor that significantly influenced this heroic spirit was the Hikayat Prang Sabi (The letter literature of war). How did this text shape the courageous spirit of the Acehnese in their resistance against the invaders? This paper examines the influence of Hikayat Prang Sabi (HPS) on its readers and the broader community. This study aims to reveal the impact of Hikayat Prang Sabi on Acehnese society. The theoretical framework used is the sociology of literature, focusing on the relationship between author, the literary work, and the reading public. The methodology employed is a descriptive qualitative approach that draws on literary sociology. The results indicate that HPS was a significant literary work that deeply affected its readers, especially the Acehnese who embraced it. The creation of HPS by Tgk. Chik Pante Kulu was closely tied to the political conditions in Aceh at the time, as the region was engaged in conflict with Dutch military force. During the Aceh-Dutch war, HPS was read before going to battle until it was confiscated and destroyed by the Dutch. Even after the war, HPS remained a crucial reference for the Acehnese in rebuilding political power

This research analyzes ownership patterns and the process of legalizing customary land in Manggarai Regency. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach and uses secondary data. Normative socio-juridical methods are also used to view and analyze the research data that has been collected. Data was collected through observations and interviews with traditional elders and members of traditional communities. The results showed that the legalization of Ulayat land greatly affected the pattern of land ownership in Manggarai and the change of entities from indigenous land to non-indigenous land that was initially jointly controlled or communal into individual rights due to the legalization or registration of land. Legalization of Ulayat land with a public dimension can only be done by measuring, mapping, and recording it in the land register. Meanwhile, Ulayat land with private dimensions can be issued a land certificate for individuals with a release mechanism from the customary leader to be used as state land. This legalization resulted in the depreciation of Ulayat land and the fading of customary bonds in Manggarai. This research provides insight into land legalization\u27s legal and social impacts on Manggarai, highlighting significant changes in ownership structures and the loss of customary values

Several studies have analyzed the effects of smartphone addiction on student learning effectiveness. However, there are a lot of gaps in these studies, such as the selected sample, in which all the respondents are assumed to belong to a gender group. In this work, we categorize each respondent, based on gender, into male and female. 500 students from public and private universities in Indonesia participated in this study. The independent-sample t-test, linear correlation, and regression analysis determined the result. It was found that smartphone addiction had a significant negative correlation with learning outcomes in male students and no significant correlation in female students. Male students’ smartphone addiction had a higher effect on learning outcomes than females, with a percentage of 33.7%. This study contributes to improving the gender perspective on learning issues
