A Critical Network Governance Issues in Social Sciences Discipline: A Literature Review
Some scholars have underlined network governance issues in theoretical, conceptual, operational, and practical terms. However, it is still requested to core map this issue, as past scholars have lacked attention. Therefore, this paper explores network governance’s pivotal issues and proposes a theoretical model. A systematic literature review was conducted using Scopus database sources, and NVivo 12 Plus software was used as an assistive qualitative data analysis tool. This study revealed several viewpoints. First, network governance has received much attention over the last decade. Second, some essential core key terms are linked to network governance issues, such as social, public, government, policy, actor, political, institutional, and organizational. In addition, we proposed a theoretical model that can be used as a recommendation for future studies

Cultural Barrier in the Regeneration Process of Islamic Political Party in Indonesia
This research aims to describe the cultural barriers of the National Awakening Party (Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa or PKB) in promoting its members as candidates in direct presidential and vice-presidential elections. In the four general elections from 2004 to 2019, PKB failed to place its members as candidates. This condition is presumed to be due to cultural barriers embedded within the party’s internal dynamics and the cadre system. The research method employed in this study combined qualitative descriptive approaches by integrating literature studies with Focus Group Discussions (FGD) involving seven (7) competent informants comprising three media editors, two academics, one activist, and one politician. The data obtained from the FGD is the primary guide to trace document data. The data presentation involves triangulation of FGD data, document data, and field observation results. The data findings revealed three main pieces of evidence for cultural barriers: first, egocentrism of leaders and personal dependence, which refers to the positions of Kyai and Islamic Boarding Schools (pesantren) in the PKB cadre system; second, obedience that erases critical thinking, and third, the presence of the “green blood” identity, which holds privileges in the PKB’s cadre ship system. These three cultural barriers are not unique to PKB but are shared by most Islamic political parties in Indonesia
Peatland Management Policy: How to Build a Good Public-Private Partnership?
Despite the government of Indonesia’s best efforts, several issues have arisen from the lack of policy integration on implementing comprehensive policies for appropriate peatland management. Criticism claims that many current policies put short-term financial gain ahead of long-term sustainability. This study looks at the dynamics resulting from Indonesia’s disjointed implementation of the country’s peatland policy. This research examines laws and regulations on policy concerns adopted in peatland management through a public policy and legal approach. The study’s conclusions highlight the contradictory state of Indonesia’s peatland policy, which is marked by shifts that highlight competing values—giving development and sustainability equal weight, for example. During the dry season, smoke, recurrent fires, and associated health issues are inevitable
The Role of Parents in Implementing the Post-School Transition
The importance of parental involvement in every student\u27s school life has been well-documented in various studies. However, empirical data in the field show that some parents of students with disabilities in Yogyakarta did not fully participate in it. This study aimed to describe the role of parents of students with disabilities in implementing the post-school transition. This study employed qualitative method and used interviews as data collection. The participants in this study were six parents of students with disabilities. This study also revealed that implementation of the transition program post-high school could succeed from parental efforts, namely: 1) the role of students were unique in the implementation transition post-school, 2) the parental role of the students’ need, particularly in the implementation of the transition period post-school, 3) the role of parents students’ need particular in giving training family in implementation of the transition period post school. However, there were a number of possible obstacles to influencing transition program success post-school, namely 1) concern about accompanying child post-school, 2) parents not knowing IEP, 3) parents not being involved in programming, and 4) parents empowerment as companions still less
Integrating Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences in Islamic Education: A Systematic Review of Indonesian Practices
This study aimed to collect and analyze articles related to Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences theory and its implementation in Islamic education in Indonesia, as well as to identify research gaps. The method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with meta-synthesis data analysis techniques. The selected articles were published between 2016 and 2024 and chosen as the subjects of the study. These articles were gathered through search engines such as Google Scholar, Scopus.com, and Elicit.ai. The data analysis techniques employed were both quantitative and qualitative. The analysis results indicated that the implementation of Multiple Intelligences in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teaching successfully improved student achievement and encourages teachers to teach creatively, using methods such as demonstrations, role-playing, the use of ICT, outdoor learning, and student motivation. Additionally, this implementation fosters critical thinking, problem-solving learning, creative thinking, and communicative learning. The implementation of Multiple Intelligences in PAI also aligned with the concept of fitrah. Further research is recommended to broadly review the implementation of Multiple Intelligences in Islamic education
Dating Practices: A Moral Negotiation in Pesantren
The main aim of this article was to see the public space of Pesantren as an arena for negotiating Islamic moral ideas and modernity. The practice of dating in Islamic literature is linked to immoral action because it is contrary to Islamic teachings that prohibit relationships outside marriage. It has become an important part of Islamic moral education. Dating in Pesantren is prohibited, and it is a relationship outside marriage. However, there are still many students who develop romantic relationships with members of the opposite sex in the public spaces of Pesantren. Through ethnographic studies, researchers observed Santriwati’s dating practices and interviewed them to determine the moral basis for these actions. Based on these observations at the Pesantren Madrasah Ulumul Qur’an (MUQ) Langsa, the practice of dating was carried out by santriwati by hiding behind buildings and rooms in the Islamic boarding school. This secretive and tactical action was carried out not to confront the rules made by the ustadz but as part of a negotiation between obeying the rules and the choice to continue dating. The researcher concluded that, even though the Islamic boarding school public space is filled with moral values produced by kyai and ustadz, the students still can carry out actions outside the Islamic boarding school\u27s ideas of morality
Mathematics Learning Model for Children with Dyscalculia through Special Intervention
This research aimed to formulate a model of mathematical learning difficulties for children with dyscalculia to help children with dyscalculia overcome mathematics problems at school. This research is important to carry out considering that dyscalculia is a serious problem experienced by many students throughout the world. The SDTA model was built by analogizing the STIR model to non-communicable diseases. In this study, of 1247 students who conducted a series of tests (screening tests), there were 121 students, or 9.7% were initially identified as having dyscalculia. Furthermore, observations were carried out and confirmation was carried out with parents and teachers so that 119 students tested positive for dyscalculia. The research results showed that after intervention through treatment by the teacher, dyscalculia students experienced a very drastic decrease, especially in the material on recognizing and ordering numbers. Likewise, the results of model simulations on multiplication operation material illustrated the decline in students with dyscalculia. Specifically for division operations, the treatment process took relatively longer. Therefore, the simulation results in the SDTA model reflected students who are identified as having dyscalculia, along with planned intervention/ treatment, students could pass through the mathematics learning phase successfully
The Development of Geo-Math Application by Integrating Geo-Gebra Applets to Improve Students’ Spatial Ability
Geometry can be challenging for students due to its abstract nature; The difficulty is often associated with low spatial abilities; to overcome these challenges, educators can employ dynamic and visual learning approaches to help students learn and understand geometric concepts more effectively. This study aimed to develop a Geo Math application by integrating the GeoGebra applets on geometry that fulfill valid, practical, and effective aspects that are expected to improve spatial abilities. This research utilized development research using the ADDIE model, which consists of 5 stages: analysis, design, development, and trial implementation. It went through several trial stages consisting of validation experts, one-to-one trials, and small group trials, and the evaluation stage was carried out through a pre-post-test quasi-experimental study. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the Geo Math application was very feasible to support the implementation of learning mathematics, especially in learning geometric transformations, which could assist students in constructing concepts from various transformations effectively. The interactive and dynamic nature of GeoGebra applets within the application allowed students to visualize and manipulate geometric objects and could make abstract mathematical concepts more concrete and accessible, which could improve students’ spatial abilities
