A Case Study of Resource Recycling in Miyama City, Fukuoka Prefecture: From the Perspective of Public Facility Management
Get PDFWe conducted research on garbage incineration facilities and resource recycling facilities from the perspectives of waste resource recycling and public facilities management, and clarified the following five points.
１ ．We introduced the significance of eliminating and consolidating garbage incineration facilities from the perspective of public facilities management.
２ ．From the perspective of public facilities management research, we used the case of “Refrain” in Miyama City （Fukuoka Prefecture） to clarify how multiple functions of biomass facilities are being derived from multifactorial complexes.
３ ．From the perspective of public facilities management research, we clarified how “Refrain” in Miyama City is a novel undertaking in terms of facility construction and adjustment extending beyond the elimination and consolidation of three facilities and their separate“ vertical” administrations.
４ ．We clarified how waste processing facilities and resource recycling facilities can be discussed in the field of public facilities management research.
５ ．We introduced through the case of Miyama City’s Environmental Sanitation Section how the construction and operation of multifunction complexes requires workstyles which transcend“ vertical” administration.ごみ焼却施設，資源循環施設について，廃棄物資源循環研究と公共施設マネジメント研究の２つの視点で検討し，以下の５点を明らかにした。
１ 公共施設マネジメントの視点で，ごみ焼却施設の統廃合の意義を紹介した。
２ 公共施設マネジメント研究の視点で，福岡県みやま市のルフランを事例に，バイオマス施設の多面的機能が，多機能複合施設から生まれていることを明らかにした。
３ みやま市のルフランは，公共施設マネジメント研究という視点で，３つの施設の統廃合，縦割り行政を越えた施設建設・調整業務という点において新規性があることを明らかにした。
４ 廃棄物処理施設，資源循環施設も，公共施設マネジメント研究の研究分野として議論可能であることを明らかにした。
５ 多機能複合施設の建設・運営には，縦割り行政を越える職員の働き方が必要であることを，みやま市環境衛生課を事例に紹介した。departmental bulletin pape
Behavior of influenza antiviral drugs in urban rivers
Get PDFThis paper examines the results of a four-year monitoring of influenza antiviral drugs in urban river water. This research clarifies the current status and problems of sewage treatment for antiviral drugs.
High levels of influenza antiviral drugs were detected in river water during the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons when the highest numbers of influenza patients were reported.
Results showed that the environmental impact of Tamiflu is high and its environmental risk should be reduced by curbing the rate of usage and facilitating more advanced sewage treatment processes.departmental bulletin pape

On the other hand, traditional life, in which various events are felt by the five senses and judged by logical thinking, has declined. This makes it more difficult to see ordinally things in everyday life and makes people less connected, and thus techniques of life that have been handed down so far are rapidly being lost. These have reduced human power and become a factor to trigger modern educational problems. Evaluating“ Ice Breaker” Games Used in Classroom Experiments
Get PDF“Breaking ice” between students is important during classroom group activities, such as discussions and economy experiments for achieving educational goals. We examine the use of self-introductions and game activities when conducting activities to encourage interpersonal communication. Subjects were randomly assigned to a control group and a treatment group. They then took part in some trial activities after self-introductions, which had a negative frame （control） and positive frame （treatment）. We found the number of keywords used by the subjects to indicate themselves in the treatment group was larger than in the control group. This suggests the members of the treatment group may have been able to communicate more actively with each other. We show, however, the score for playing games, which requires cooperation was identical between groups.departmental bulletin pape
LOCAL PARTICIPATION LEVEL AND EMPOWERMENT: A Case Study of Ghandruk Community Tourism, Nepal
Get PDF大阪産業大学博士（経営学）2019年度Local participation in community tourism is key to the host community welfare as well as socio-cultural and environmental well-being. However, the measurement of a tangible level of such participation and the consequential empowerment process of the host is often overlooked and remains hitherto, an under-researched concept. To inquire on this as an objective, a case study is applied in a Ghandruk community(Nepal) with an assessment of community-tourism interaction, participation level and empowerment build up process of the community. While on the construction of the theory, theoretical perspectives on destination development, community-tourism interactions and participation typologies are incorporated. Structured questionnaires for a sample population and other qualitative survey techniques revealed that the local enthusiasm in tourism was growing for economic reasons, gaining some empowerment. A growth tendency of zones such as core and peripherals, in terms of tourism trade intensity and local involvement, was detected. The core area participants were more resourceful to tap on tourism and were benefitted than those in the peripherals. It is concluded that in communities such as Ghandruk where tourism is slowly taking off, such traits of core and peripherals, are evident. But in due course of destination development and maturity, as the local participation level rises sufficiently to broaden the peripheral zone, merging with the core areas may occur.doctoral thesi

Get PDF“The Mathematical Classic of Zhang Qiujian” was written during the Southern and Northern Dynasties, which was listed as one of the Ten Computational Canons（算経十書） during the Tang dynasty. The aim of our research is to provide a complete translation and annotation of it from the viewpoint of our previous work on “The Nine Chapters on the Mathematical Art （九章算術）.”
This is the second article based on our research and results in which we studied the problems 16 to 32 of the first volume.『張丘建算経』は南北朝期に書かれた算術書であり、唐代に編纂された算経十書の一つである。我々は、我々の『九章算術』研究を起点に、『張丘建算経』の訳注を完成させることを目的としている。

Action and Drama: American Film Titles in Japanese
Get PDFJapanese titles of foreign films come in many varieties, from direct translation to phonetic representation to something completely different from the original title. This study looks at trends among the Japanese titles of over 6000 American action films and drama films over the past 100 years. The author created a spreadsheet of titles from an online film database and examined katakana usage in each genre decade by decade from the 1920s to present day. The author found that these genres differ greatly from each other in the percentage of katakana-only titles, and in how likely those titles are to be phonetic representations of the original English titles. Finally, the author discovered katakana and Japanese words that occur disproportionately in Japanese titles when compared to their English equivalent in the original titles.departmental bulletin pape
