A Study on Dynamic Capability Framework in the Age of Industry 4.0（Ⅰ）: With Special Reference to Existing Research Reviews on Dynamic Capabilities
Get PDFIn order to understand dynamic capability theory, which is one of the very important business concepts in the era of the fourth industrial revolution, this study builds a relatively complete dynamic capability system from two situations based on the collation and induction of existing literature. The first situation is to clarify four different types of abilities formed by the four classes corresponding to the three elements of capability. The second situation is to clarify type of strong dynamic capabilities that are needed in the era of the fourth industrial revolution and the three micro-capabilities that it plays in practice, which are the continuous, creative and transformational capabilities of the enterprise. This study wishes to emphasize two points. First, these three capabilities must be used in conjunction to be most effective. Second, the strong dynamic capabilities of the enterprise in the era of the fourth industrial revolution are based on its strong operational capabilities (core capability) and weak dynamic capabilities (smart capability). and they are indispensable. If the emphasis is only on developing the capability of a company to respond to changes in the environment, without core capability or core business as a fulcrum, from a long-term perspective, there are huge risks for enterprises.departmental bulletin pape
Relationships between Cognitive Functions and Odor Identification Ability and Odor Imagery Ability among the Elderly
Get PDFThe present study examined the relationship among cognitive functions, odor identification ability and olfactory imagery ability in elderly adults. In the survey, thirty-eight elderly adults completed the Mini Mental State Examination （MMSE）, Open Essence （OE） and Vividness Odor Imagery Questionnaire （VOIQ）. In the results, significant correlations were shown between total score of VOIQ and total score of OE. These findings suggest that olfactory imagery ability plays a significant role in the odor identification ability among elderly adults.departmental bulletin pape
The Effectiveness of Functioning as a Robust Systems and Using Relational Leadership to Enhance Disruptive Innovation in Small and Medium Enterprises（SMEs）
Get PDFThis paper investigates the role that Relational Leadership and Robust Systems theory play in the enhancement of Disruptive Innovation in Small and Medium Enterprises （SMEs）. It clarifies the importance of Disruptive Innovation in SMEs in today's global market, and the effectiveness of Disruptive Innovation in helping SMEs to compete and grow in tough markets. Building upon previous research, this paper discusses the importance of trust and transparency between leaders and followers in increasing innovation skills. We propose that the use of Relational Leadership Style can improve Disruptive Innovation performance in SMEs. One of the theories of Relational Leadership is Leader-Member Exchange Theory （LMX）. We argues that LMX is an effective tool in deepening trust between leaders and members, which can lead to the enhancement of creativity and innovation skills. We also mention the role of organizational climate in innovation process. We think that Robust System theory can help to promote freedom, understanding and safety. These elements can assist SMEs in maximizing their innovation capabilities. Finally, the study discusses the innovation barriers in SMEs, and the effective role LMX and Robust Systems theory play in helping SMEs to overcome the barriers.departmental bulletin pape

Has Interest Rate Liberalization Improved the Profitability of China’s Banks?
Get PDFIn this study, we argue the relationship between interest rate liberalization and the profitability of banks in China. Using a novel dataset collected from Chinese commercial banks annual reports 2007-2019, this study shows that the improvement of interest rate liberalization has not affected the profitability of banks. We found that the increase in the degree of market competition leads to a decrease in the profit. However, in the early stage of interest rate liberalization, less competition pressure was not a big challenge, where the progress in marketization contributed to the profitability of banks. In addition, when banks were divided into three types, namely, joint-stock, city, and rural commercial banks, we found that the pressure from liberalization was concentrated on small and medium-sized commercial banks. Furthermore, as a response to market competition, non-interest income to diversify revenue sources has not contributed to improving the profitability of banks.departmental bulletin pape
The Impact of Hot Spring Destination Attributes on the Tourism Image, Perceived Value, and Behavior Intention: Focusing on Mageumsan Hot Spring Tourist Area in Korea
Get PDFThe purpose of this article is to find out what attributes tourists carefully recognize when choosing hot spring tourist spots, how these attributes affect the image and perceived value of the tourist spots, and what results the image and perceived value of the tourist spots have on their intent to act. As a result of the analysis, it was found that all hypotheses had a significant positive effect, and therefore, in hot spring tourist attractions, continuous interest and efforts must be made to maintain and manage the four factors that make up the tourist’s selective attributes（ water quality, cost of using hot spring, hot spring facilities, and development of surrounding tourist attractions）, and thus the perceived value of tourists can lead to the tourist’s intention to visit again.本稿は，観光客が温泉観光地を選択する際にどのような属性を大切に認識し，これらの属性が観光地のイメージと知覚価値にどのような影響を及ぼすのか，さらに観光地のイメージと知覚価値が行動意図にどのような結果を与えているのかを究明することを目的とした。分析の結果，全ての仮説において有意な正（＋）の影響があることが分かったし，したがって，温泉観光地では観光客の選択属性を構成する４つの要因（温泉の水質，温泉を利用するための費用，温泉の施設，周辺観光地の整備）についての維持・管理に持続的な関心と努力を払う必要がある。またこれによって観光客の知覚価値が観光客の再訪問意図にもつながるという結果を示している。departmental bulletin pape
Regional Revitalization through Baru Ibento（ Bar Event）during The 2019 Rugby World Cup: A Case Study of A“ Rugby Bar” in Higashi-Osaka City
Get PDFバルイベントは地域活性化のためには単発ではなく継続開催することが重要である。筆者は，前報において，東大阪市の３地域で行われているバルイベントが地域的特性に応じた運営方法を行い，継続開催してきていることを把握した。2019年秋，日本では国際的メガスポーツイベントの一つであるラグビーワールドカップが開催され，東大阪市の花園ラグビー場は，その会場の一つとなった。東大阪市でバルイベントを行っていた３地域では，ラグビーワールドカップの開催に合わせたバルイベントの開催を東大阪市に働きかけ，同市全域で「東大阪ラグビーバル」が開催されるに至った。そこで本稿では，「東大阪ラグビーバル」が開催されるに至る経過，実際の運営状況を把握することを目的とする。これは，2020年に開催される国際的メガスポーツイベントである東京オリンピック開催に係る都市における地域でのイベントの取組み等の参考にもなるであろう。departmental bulletin pape
