Konseling Sufistik: Harmonisasi Psikologi dan Tasawuf dalam Mewujudkan Kesehatan Mental
Mental Health engenders harmony, tranquility, welfare, and peace of the soul. Mental health can be realized if we comprehend the nature of human being as individual, social being, and religious being. This study attempts to examine sufistic counseling as a result of the harmonization between psychology and sufism whose role is strong enough for the realization of mental health. Human being perspective in psychology and sufism were also presented to gain a better and more comprehensive understanding of human nature. Using library research of relevant literature as the method, this study concludes that sufi counseling could be a bridge to harmonize between psychology and sufism. It also could be directed to realize mental health in individual level. In addition, sufism provides a typical pattern for the development of counseling and it has a great opportunity to give its own color for counseling trend in the modern era
Kontestasi Langgar dan Pesantren (Studi Atas Pranata Keagamaan Lokal di Sumenep Madura)
This research is a social anthropology study. The theory used is the resistance theory of James C. Scott. The data collection is through interviews, observation, and documentation. This research found: first, the contestation between Langgar Barokah and Pesantren Mathlabul Ulum is not occurred since the beginning of the establishment, but since Mathlabul Ulum established Islamic Elementary School (2003), and then in 2008 founded Langgar Fatimah Binti Ali. Second, contestation occurs in two forms: open and hidden contestation. Contestation appears more hidden, sometimes even symbolic, because they realize that they have role as guide and leader of islamic society, and also they have family relationship. Third, there are five contestants are involved which then narrowed down to two: the contestants of Langgar and pesantren. Fourth, the two contested arena are cultural and economic arenas. Fifth, there are five trigger contestation: negligence of society; differences in patterns of education that should be maintained, Salaf or modern; the legitimacy of the public; and equality preaching territory
Peningkatan Spiritualitas Melalui Zikir Berjamaah (Studi Terhadap Jamaah Zikir Kanzus Sholawat Kota Pekalongan, Jawa Tengah)
Human nature does not just want to be successful in material and social standard. In fact, he has desire to find the ultimate meaning of life based on his own perspective. The quest for the meaning of life could not be enough if just be done using external dimension—it could be reached by spiritual dimension. This study is intended to describe spirituality among the members of Majelis Zikir Kanzus Sholawat in Pekalongan City, Central Java, the form of spirituality, its formative factors, and motivation of the members to attend and join the collective praying. By using a qualitative approach and public opinion surveys, this study shows that the forms of spirituality of Majelis Zikir Kanzus Sholawat could be categorized into three point: (1) meaningful life; (2) more active worship, and (3) a more positive social life. These forms are influenced by two factors: (1) practice the teachings of zikir; (2) understanding the teachings of the leader of majelis zikir. This study also found that there are three motivation among the member of member of Majelis Zikir: a desire to reach spiritual enlightenment, a wish to gain barokah, and a longing for the mursyid (guide) in the tariqa
Jejak Pemikiran Al-Gazali dalam Tradisi Pendidikan Pesantren
Pesantren (Islamic boarding school) tradition can not be separated from the influence of Abu> Ha>mid al-Gaza>li>. This thought became the foundation to see the traces left by this hujjatul Isla>m in pesantren’s scientific tradition; what have became tradition, and what have changed and developed in the tradition itself. This study shows that the thought of al-Gaza>li> influence several aspects (1) ontology about the nature and origin of science, it’s quality and position, which is linked to the learning process, (2) classification of science that is read sub-ordinatively, classificatively, even dichotomous, (3) the orientation and development of science in the education process that oriented to the hereafter life and worldly benefit. But in education process, every pesantren has their own interpretation. It is caused by differences in readings and adjustments to local circumstances. Therefore the thought of al-Gaza>li> is not always intact in education process. Most actually showed irregularities. It is caused by the dynamics of the social history, cultural and political of Indonesian. Readings and interpretation of al-Gaza>li> thought in pesantren tradition is also dynamic, in the sense of showing the progress from period to period
Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah (MDT) sebagai Pusat Pengetahuan Agama Masyarakat Pedesaan (Studi tentang Peran MDT di Desa Gapura Timur Gapura Sumenep)
Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah (MDT) is a non-formal religious education which has been continuously striving to guide the Islamic religious education in the society, especially the younger generation, in an effort to strengthen their faith and piety in order to shaping mental-spiritual by taking into account the times. The study takes a role of MDT as a knowledge center for the main religion of rural communities, especially in Gapura Timur, Gapura Sumenep. This study used qualitative research-phenomenological approach. The data collected by purposive sampling. The data collection technique using participant observation, indepht interview and documentation. The data were analyzed using the interactive model analysis of Miles and Huberman done in the steps of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The results of the research show that the existence MDT turned out to be a basic need for people to educate the religious teachings of the most basic as matters of faith, worship and akhlaqul karimah. The basic materials of Islamic religious education turned out to be especially important for people in an effort to strengthen the mental-spiritual people in the an identity crisis and a number of phenomena of decline the morality of the nation lately
Islam dan Persaudaraan Antaragama: Dari Kesadaran Individu Menuju Kesadaran Sosial
Islam is a religion that brings blessing and prosperity for all the rest of world (rahmatan lil alamin). The moral message of peace and brotherhood is included into a sacred text Al-Quran and embedded into the long history of this religion. The idea of brotherhood is also central for peace building, even among religious believers. The history of religion has showed that every religion reflects double masks of human: peaceful and anger, god and evil. However, such double identity was born from single transcendental vision: getting blessed by God. This study attempts to explore this double mask of religion because of the multi-interpreted sacred texts of any religion in the world. Given the essence of religion for peace of all the rest of world, the believers have to be aware of understanding religion in terms of its humanity, not animality. The implication of this study is to figure out that an attempt of getting Islam back to its vital essence of peace-builder is not being easy, but must be started as Mohammad’s moral message of the importance of peace and brotherhood

The common principles of ijtihad has been clearly ruled under Islamic law, as Muslims (especially mujtahid) are possible to make a religious law in dealing with new issues that has no clear reference to Al-Qura>n and Hadis\. One of these principles is al-mas{lah{ah (common use). As a central principle of Islamic law, al-mas{lah{ah possibly facilitates Muslims to identify that every source of Islamic jurisprudency included al-mas{lah{ah into its examination. Almost none of islamic laws has been created without al-mas{lah{ah. Many God’s commandments consist of al-mas{lah{ah either in explicit or in implicit way. Urgensi Pendidikan Moral dan Akhlak Pada Anak Usia Dini
Morality is fading amid the current association is increasingly free and unimpeded. Therefore, moral education and character urged to continue to be encouraged, especially in early childhood. Interest held education, one of which, is to print the students moral and good morals. However, moral and character education is not enough to just theory, but it requires a model or example that can give you an example. The existence of good examples is essential in the process of moral education and akhlakul karimah for early childhood, because young children have a tendency to imitate the attitudes and behavior of others than to listen to, especially the people around him, such as parents, teachers, and peers. A good model and could be a harbinger in giving the example of the attitude and behavior of the Prophet SAW. Some attitudes and behavior that can be implanted in early childhood: honest, trustworthy, mutual help, respect your parents and others, and generous. To inculcate attitudes and behavior, can be done by giving keteleadan, habituation, and tells the story of a figure that can be emulated and replicated

This paper is to describe the recent challenge of Islamic education in schools, and to offer a new method for how Islamic education is possible to respons the challenge in the future. The decline of Islamic education is, among others, less of sensitivity over the complex social reality. This study would provide an idea of empowerment to students which is based on three dimensions of participation: power in, power with, and power within. These are implemented in the context of Islamic education in order to make sure student’s ability in working, either individually or collectively, without getting ride of moral spirituality as their basic values of human life
