    Dr. Yolanda Sealey-Ruiz is an award-winning associate professor at Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research focuses on racial literacy in teacher education, Black girl literacies, and Black and Latinx male high school students. A sought-after speaker on issues of race, culturally responsive pedagogy, and diversity, Sealey-Ruiz works with K-12 and higher education school communities to increase their racial literacy knowledge and move toward more equitable school experiences for their Black and Latinx students. Sealey-Ruiz appeared in Spike Lee’s 2 Fists Up: We Gon’ Be Alright, a documentary about the Black Lives Matter movement and the campus protests at Mizzou. Her co-authored book with Dr. Detra Price-Dennis, Advancing Racial Literacies in Teacher Education: Toward Activism for Equity in Digital Spaces, will be published in April 2021.Her first full-length collection of poetry, Love from the Vortex & Other Poems (Kalediscope Vibrations LLC), was published in March 2020, and her sophomore book of poetry, The Peace Chronicles, was released in July.FIT’s civility initiative is aimed at engaging our community in a discussion of respectful ways of living and learning in a higher education environment. FIT encourages our community to behave with civility. A community upholding civility respects the rights of individuals and groups. It is characterized by understanding and considerations of the differences among members of the community. The diversity of the college adds to the richness of campus life, and FIT expects all members of the community to respect both differences and commonalities

Her original concept— simple, timeless pieces that work together to help women get dressed easily—still defines the company’s collections, which are sold at 66 EILEEN FISHER stores and over 300 department and specialty stores across the U.S., U.K., and Canada, as well as at two Renew stores as part of the company’s innovative recycling program.In 2009, EILEEN FISHER started a take-back program—part of a circular system designed to preserve the value of the brand’s clothes at every stage, in any condition. The company has taken back over 1.3 million garments to date, transforming damaged clothes into one-of-a-kind artworks, pillows, wall hangings and accessories using a custom felting technique that requires no water or dyes. In spring 2015, EILEEN FISHER announced VISION2020, a bold five-year plan that addresses sustainability and human rights. In keeping with Fisher’s belief in collaboration, VISION2020 calls for partnering with other brands to shift the fashion industry
