Video Surveillance System Usage in Preventing Crime: Preliminary findings from Malaysia
The preliminary study focuses on two key aspects of crime prevention via Video Surveillance Systems (VSS) and the specific context of VSS deployment in Malaysia. The study employs interviews as a method of data collection and a thematic content analysis approach to data analysis. The research findings highlight the VSS's effectiveness in solving crime cases, satisfaction among participants using VSS, limited expertise and skills in video analysis, and the high costs associated with the installation. Future studies should delve deeper into the regional impacts of video surveillance on crime rates in Malaysia and investigate the integration of emerging technologies' effectiveness
Implementation of Information Security Management Systems for Data Protection in Organizations: A systematic literature review
This systematic literature review investigates the implementation of Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) as a pivotal strategy for safeguarding organizational information in the digital era. Focusing on key factors influencing ISMS implementation, its impact on data protection, and the methodologies employed, the review underscores the significance of awareness and training in fostering compliance. Emphasizing the ISO/IEC 27001 standard as a prevalent framework, the study reveals positive impacts on organizational performance, financial outcomes, corporate reputation, and branding. The findings advocate for a comprehensive and structured approach to information security, urging future research to explore diverse organizational contexts and industries for a nuanced understanding of ISMS practices and their impact on organizational agility
Flexural and Flammability Characteristics of Woven Jute Fabric Reinforced Vinyl Ester Treated with Ammonium Polyphosphate
The work aims to determine the optimum fire-retardant treatment for the jute/vinyl ester composites on the composites' flexural and flammability characteristics. Ammonium polyphosphate deposition in composite samples increased the thickness and weight, which led to an increase in their sample densities. The deposition of 10% ammonium polyphosphate (APP) resulted in the highest flexural strength. However, APP significantly increased the flexural modulus of all samples to the untreated sample. In terms of flammability properties, the deposition of APP increased composites' performance against fire. Incorporating 10% of APP provides good flexural and fire-retardancy properties for the woven jute/vinyl ester composite
Multi-Disaster Risk Mitigation through Augmented Reality Conservation Map for Enhancing Cultural Heritage Attitude
Virtual conservation emphasizes access to information, user involvement, object preservation, and restoring the original ambiance of conserved or rebuilt things using technology during COVID-19. This study utilizes AR to create the City of Sawahlunto AR Conservation Map and then designs and tests the app's content and functionality using Media Richness Theory. The study involves R&D employing the Multimedia Development Life Circle model and an exploratory sequential mixed-methods. The City of Sawahlunto AR Conservation Map AR has augmentation, interaction, and registration. This study contributes to Media Richness Theory and Virtual Tourism and has practical implications for destination sustainability, carrying capacity, and over-tourism
Reliability Analysis of the Influence of Media and Information Literacy Skills on Individual Work Performance: A pilot study of academic staff of colleges of education in southeast Nigeria
The research aims to examine the influence of media and information literacy (MIL) skills on the individual work performance of academic staff of colleges of education. Researchers discovered that many educational professionals need more MIL skills to support their job performance. This set of skills required for effective research and information use is insufficient and impedes lifelong learning. Based on the review of related literature, a 50-item questionnaire was constructed. The study population is 3,200 from nine public education colleges in southeast Nigeria. A representative sample for the study is 344, derived from the Sample Size Calculator by Raosoft Inc. A proportionate stratified random sampling technique was employed to identify a representative sample for the study. To ensure data validity, reliability, and normality, the research instrument was pre-tested by experts/scholars. A pilot test was conducted, and thirty-nine academic staff participated. A quantitative survey method was used, employing SPSS to analyze collected data. Findings revealed that all items have reliability coefficients above 0.70 except for need skills, locate skills, and analyze skills with 0.566, 0.531, and 0.545 values. The study recommends that management should pay close attention to the MIL skills of their staff to optimize individual work performance

Sculpture creates three-dimensional objects from various materials such as wood, stone, and metal. The aim is to discuss the process of designing kinetic sculptures from car engine waste, as well as assembly and splicing techniques using welding and screws. Optimizing function and aesthetics can contribute to environmental sustainability using industrial waste materials. This research is expected to guide the design of three-dimensional sculpture art in the context of industry and education to contribute to contemporary art's development

Zisha clay is more accessible and environmentally friendly than traditional jewelry materials, so this study is of reference value for promoting the creative industry

Building designs incorporating bamboo have diversified, evolving to a more organic and contemporary style, utilizing bamboo's flexible nature. Studio learning focuses on design elements like lines and shapes, leveraging materials to achieve specific design characteristics, and utilizing bamboo, which results in designs inspired by nature that are relevant to its character, creating innovative and aesthetic designs. Some designs are realized as installations in public spaces, allowing them to be enjoyed by the public and serving as educational tools highlighting bamboo's local and environmentally friendly nature

This study explores transforming Jun Ware waste into practical and artistic design elements. The research highlights traditional processing issues by analyzing its sources and physicochemical properties and proposes innovative integration into modern design. This approach aims to reduce pollution, conserve resources, and enhance cultural significance. Applications include urban public spaces, landscape design, urban sculptures, murals, and installation art, thereby giving new life and value to Jun Ware waste
Statistical Modelling of Traffic Noise Using Smart PLS-SEM In Urban Roads
The objectives of this study are to assess the traffic noise levels in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia, and to propose traffic noise model among influential factors. Five factors and 20 attributes were measured at three locations using a sound level meter and analyzed using the PLS-SEM approach. The results of this study showed that high traffic noise levels on urban roads exceeded the maximum permissible limit of 60 dBA during the day, according to Malaysian guidelines. However, the integrated traffic noise prediction model approach has specific indirect effects: built environment -> climate conditions -> traffic flow
