Differences in Painting Styles of Malaysian Chinese Artists in Different Periods
Get PDFChuah Thean Teng, through continuous experimentation and improvement, has upgraded Batik from a traditional craft to an artwork with cultural significance and national characteristics. His son and grandson are also trying to develop batik painting. The primary purpose of this study is to explore the batik works of artists from different periods. The results show that from the first to the third generation of Chinese artists, their creations have gradually pursued stylistic diversity from their original focus on cultural significance. This study contributes to the dissemination of batik art
Muslims' Financial Management Behavior during Covid-19 Pandemic in Indonesia and Malaysia
Get PDFThe COVID-19 pandemic has negatively impacted the order of life worldwide, including Indonesia and Malaysia. This study aims to capture the financial management behaviour of Muslims in Indonesia and Malaysia during the pandemic and the relation between demographic profile and financial management behaviour. This research is quantitative research utilising the chi-square test. 427 data were collected using a closed questionnaire distributed to respondents who fit the research criteria. The result concludes that both countries exhibit similar financial management behaviour. Moreover, financial management behaviour is related to monthly income in both countries

The study examines the relationship between intrinsic motivation, life satisfaction, and happiness. 285 business faculty students at a higher learning institution in Malaysia enrolled in a bachelor's degree programme received online surveys. The results demonstrated a positive and significant relationship between happiness and the two independent variables of intrinsic motivation and life satisfaction. This study explores the complex relationship between organisational culture, structure, and pay in shaping the progression of women's careers. The proposed conceptual framework illustrates the significant factors in promoting inclusive environments to facilitate women's professional development. The glass ceiling theory explains the systemic organisational obstacles that prevent women from advancing inside organisations. The results emphasise that organisations and policymakers need to tackle these barriers to promoting gender equality and establishing conditions that support women's success and economic empowerment
Non-Pharmacological Intervention to Improve Motivation Among Patients with Schizophrenia - A Scoping Review
Get PDFIn recent years, recognition of motivational deficits in individuals with schizophrenia has grown, leading to increased exploration of non-pharmacological interventions in mental health. This review maps the literature on such treatments targeting motivational impairments in schizophrenia, aiming to identify gaps and suggest future research directions. The review identified 16 articles out of 80, predominantly randomized controlled trials. Various interventions, including cognitive training, behavioral programs, and mobile apps, have been identified to enhance motivation in this population. Despite limitations, the review provides a comprehensive overview and establishes a foundation for further research in enhancing motivation interventions for schizophrenia

A Systematic Literature Review on the Working Dilemma of Petrochemical Offshore Workers: A gender perspective
Get PDFThis paper aims to identify the dilemma offshore petrochemical workers face using a gender lens. The gender lens allows examining how gender identities, norms, and power dynamics shape experiences, opportunities, and outcomes for different groups of people. Two databases were used in this search, namely the Web of Science and Scopus. The results indicated that 11 articles were accepted after the identification, screening and eligibility processes were undertaken. Based on the thematic analysis, four emerging themes include psychosocial risks, gender stigma, benefits, and social capital. The findings have practical contributions
Public Accountability and Deviant Behavior
Get PDFThis study aims to conduct empirical research regarding the issue of deviant behavior among public administrators. Organizational and interpersonal deviances have been used, describing deviance as a multidimensional construct. The study also identified public accountability dimensions; external accountability, internal accountability, leadership, and personality as contributors to the deviance problem. The structural equation modelling showed all constructs showed a degree of validity and reliability and indicated a fit model. Public accountability dimensions have caused variance in organizational and interpersonal deviance, except leadership. The findings can be used by decision-makers to identify the effect of public accountability against deviant behavior

It highlights the shortcomings of e-waste management systems, which are crucial for home electronic disposals, especially in Malaysia.
