With the advent of digital transformation, current methods of zakat calculation face significant challenges in terms of accuracy, efficiency, and user engagement. Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is used for system development methodology. The findings indicate that the digital system significantly enhances the precision and ease of zakat calculations for gold and silver assets, promoting greater compliance and trust among the zakat payers

Balancing Demands and Resources to Enhance Employee Work Engagement in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Get PDFThis study aims to identify the factors influencing work engagement among employees in Kuala Lumpur, using the Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) theory and incorporating workaholism as a personal demand. Data from 146 respondents were collected through an online, self-administered, cross-sectional questionnaire. The data were analyzed using Smart-PLS and SPSS. The results indicate that job and personal demands significantly diminish work engagement, whereas job and personal resources substantially enhance it. Additionally, the interaction between resources and demands from both job and personal domains influences work engagement. Future research could focus on the organizational and home domains

Focus on the organizational context, as well as the psychological context, which emphasizes job burnout as a psychological demand, all framed within the perspective of Job Demands–Resources Theory. Findings indicate promoting a safety climate and reducing job burnout enhance the mental health and psychological well-being of Malaysian aviation pilots

Effects of Perceived Quality on TVET Students’ Continuance Intention to use Video Conferencing Technology
Get PDFThis study investigates the continuance intention to use video conferencing technology (VCT) among Malaysian TVET students, a group often overlooked due to their hands-on learning needs. Using survey data from 114 TVET students and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), the study found that perceived quality significantly influenced expectation confirmation and satisfaction. However, perceived usefulness did not impact satisfaction or continuance intention, diverging from traditional models. The findings suggest that factors like learning experience quality and VCT's alignment with practical training are more critical. This research extends the Expectation Confirmation Model (ECM) by offering new insights into educational technology in vocational contexts

Get PDFChild mortality in Malaysian childcare centres remains a concern due to limited caregiver training and inadequate safety practices. This paper reports on an ongoing study aimed at developing a Healthcare and Safety (HCS) framework to mitigate deaths in registered childcare centres. Using a mixed-method exploratory sequential design, Phase I involves focus group discussions with 20 childcare workers in Seberang Perai Tengah, Penang. Phase II uses a three-round Delphi technique with ten expert panels to validate framework. The findings may inform improvements to existing childcare modules and support Sustainable Development Goal 3, promoting safer childcare environments and better health outcomes
