    Service Learning in Environmental Education: University students facilitating waste recycling awareness among school children in Malaysia

    On 11 May 2024, a service-learning program on waste recycling literacy was held at a suburban primary school in Sabak Bernam, Malaysia, involving 55 pupils and 32 university students. The program featured an innovative card game for teaching waste sorting and recycling, which participants found informative and exciting. Additionally, an upcycling activity was included, deemed beneficial by the students. Integrating recycling literacy into school curricula can foster environmentally responsible behavior and support long-term sustainability goals

    Determining the Cut-Off Score of the Malay Version of Women Abuse Screening Tool (WAST) for Intimate Partner Violence Screening in Malaysia

    This study aimed to determine the optimal cut-off score for the Malay version of the Women Abuse Screening Tool (WAST) for screening of intimate partner violence (IPV) in Malaysia. A total of hundred participants enrolled in an online cross-sectional study. The overall accuracy of Malay WAST is 0.779. The sensitivity and specificity of WAST are 59.6% and 76.7% respectively, measured at the cut-off score of 15. The prevalence of IPV among the participants was 44%, with higher rates among females, Malays, and Muslims. The Malay WAST is a reliable tool for screening cases of IPV in Malaysia

    Today, digital technology has been shown to enhance heritage tourism by offering new experiences to visitors. This research aims to examine the evolution of digital heritage tourism through the lens of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A thorough literature review was conducted examining key publications from Scopus and Web of Science using relevant keywords. The review showed that the pillars of Industry Revolution 4.0 have a significant impact on the progress of digital heritage tourism towards achieving the relevant SDGs, i.e., by improving digital performance. This study subsequently offers insights and recommendations for the industry and policymakers to better support the achievement of the SDG targets

    This systematic study aims to establish the key aesthetic elements in prosthetic cosmetic design. The increasing number of amputated individuals from congenital and traumatic causes implies the need for effective prosthetic design. It is crucial to note that most past research is not artistic and design-oriented. Therefore, utilizing the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA), this study reviewed articles from 2018 to 2024; sourced from Google Scholar. The review found seven major clusters leading to several sub-themes. The author states some ideas for future studies at the end of this article

    Digital Literacy of Vietnamese Academic Librarians

    This paper reveals the findings of a study that examined the digital literacy of Vietnamese academic librarians and the factors that affect their digital literacy. A survey research method was employed to gather data from academic librarians in Vietnam, based on UNESCO's Digital Literacy Global Framework. The investigation results indicated that the digital literacy of the academic librarians surveyed exceeded the intermediate level, but various competence areas needed improvement. The study advises considering a range of factors, from individual to organisational aspects, and the broader socio-economic setting when developing digital literacy for academic librarians

It highlights the importance of diverse engagement strategies, such as employee referrals and HR support, to enhance data reliability. Recommendations include leveraging HR support and broadening respondents’ selection. Addressing these challenges can improve human capital development and capability building in the industry. Future research should focus on refining data collection methodologies in the manufacturing sector
