    Get PDF
Bailing Miao batik from Danzhai, Guizhou Province, functions as both practical clothing ornamentation and a carrier of cultural meaning. This paper begins with an examination of the distinctive clothing characteristics of Bailing Miao men and women, situating batik within the broader ethnic cultural system. It then analyses the artistic features of batik patterns in terms of motif types, structural organisation, and colour schemes. Embedded cultural customs, cosmology, and religious beliefs are interpreted through batik imagery. The refined patterns adorning garments demonstrate the aesthetic sensibility, technical mastery, and creative agency of Bailing Miao women, highlighting batik as cultural heritage in today's China

    Get PDF
This study presents a qualitative thematic review examining the educational significance of printmaking in children’s art education, with a focus on Chinese kindergarten contexts. Peer-reviewed literature published between 2020 and 2025 was systematically analysed to identify recurring themes related to artistic development, cognitive–sensory learning, and cultural awareness. The findings indicate that printmaking supports fine motor coordination, creative thinking, and experiential learning while facilitating cultural identity formation and global literacy. By synthesising recent scholarship, this review addresses a gap in culturally contextualised early childhood art education research and provides pedagogical insights relevant to curriculum design and educational policy

    Get PDF
In a boundaryless career environment, industrial restructuring and the flattening of organizational hierarchies have led to a decline in career stability, making graduate employment an important social issue. Based on a sample of 1,000 fresh graduates, this study explores the impact mechanism of employability (EM) on career success (CS) and the mediating role of career self-efficacy (SE). The results show that  EM positively affects CS (β=0.561, p<0.001), with SE partially mediating this relationship (β=0.127, p<0.001). These findings highlight the crucial role of employability and psychological capital in career development and provide empirical support and practical recommendations for enhancing graduates' employability

Knowledge and Attitude among Students towards Post-Stroke with Hemianopia

    Get PDF
A stroke occurs when blood flow to the brain is disrupted, or a vessel ruptures. Occipital strokes can cause visual field deficits like homonymous hemianopia. This study assessed the awareness and perceptions of 204 MSU students regarding stroke and hemianopia. Using a modified Thapa et al. (2016) questionnaire, results showed 96.1% awareness of stroke, with 30.4% having a personal connection. While 83.3% correctly identified the brain as affected, misconceptions remained. A weak positive correlation (r = 0.26, p < 0.001) between knowledge and attitudes suggests persistent misunderstandings, likely due to complex medical terminology

Exploring the Interplay between Social Network Engagement and Traditional Predictors of Youth Voting Behaviour: Insights from emerging democracies

    Get PDF
Youth voter turnout in Malaysia remains low despite Undi-18 reforms. While social media is central to political engagement, its impact on youth voting behaviour is underexplored. This study examines the moderating effect of social network engagement on the relationship between traditional voting behaviour predictors and voting intentions among Malaysian youth. Findings show that pre-election perceptions, subjective norms, and political awareness significantly shape voting intentions, but social network engagement does not moderate this relationship. These insights highlight the enduring role of traditional socialisation and guide policymakers in leveraging digital platforms to enhance electoral participation in emerging democracies
