[DESERTING MEDITATION OF THE GLORIOUS QUR’AN IN NIGERIA: CAUSES AND SOLUTION] العزوف عن تدبر القرآن الكريم في نيجيريا: دوافع وحلول
Meditating the Glorious Qur’an is one of the fundamental goals of its revelation for it advances faith, righteousness and morality, purifies the soul as well as promotes good systems. Many Nigerian Muslims, even if they recite and listen to Allah’s word, they hardly ponder over it. In view of this, the analysis examined factors responsible for this phenomenon with the aim of proffering solution to it. Using both descriptive and analytic methods, the paper identified lack of constant reciting and listening to the Glorious Qur’an, erroneous understanding of the ultimate objective of revealing and reading it, being preoccupied with observing mistakes and otherwise during its recital, deficiency in Arabic language, deserting tafsir literature and using the Qur’an as a source of livelihood as major hindrances against meditating the Book of Allah. It therefore, suggested that frequent reading and attentive listening to the Glorious Qur’an, learning Arabic language and studying tafsir literature, among others, will go a long way in overcoming this challenge. The paper recommended reviewing method of teaching the Qur’an in the country and adoption of Arabic as the language of communication in teaching Arabic subjects as well as medium of instruction for students of Islamic studies in Nigerian tertiary institutions.
إن تدبر كلام الله سبحانه وتعالى من الغايات التي من أجلها أنزل القرآن الكريم لما يترتب عليه من رسوخ الإيمان وزكاء النفوس وصلاح الأعمال واستقامة الأخلاق وسلامة الأنظمة. وقد غفل كثير من المسلمين في نيجيريا عن تدبر كلام ربهم وإن قرؤوه أو استمعوا إليه. لهذه المشكلة استهدفت المقالة تلمس الأسباب التي أدت إلى هذه الغفلة والبحث عن العوامل التي تعين على التغلب عليها. وباستخدام المنهج الوصفي التحليلي توصلت إلى أن من أهم هذه الأسباب قلة قراءة القرآن الكريم والاستماع إليه، والخطأ في فهم الغاية من إنزال القرآن وتلاوته، والانكباب على تتبع الأخطاء، والانشغال بأمور أخرى أثناء القراءة، وعدم فهم العربية، والبعد عن كتب التفسير والاسترزاق بالقرآن. كما توصلت الورقة إلى أن من العوامل التي تعين على التغلب على هذه الأسباب كثرة قراءة القرآن الكريم والإصغاء إليه بالترسل والإخلاص وحضور القلب، وبذل الجهد في تعلم العربية ومطالعة كتب التفسير، والعلم بأن القرآن لم ينزل للقراءة فقط، وإنما أنزل للقراءة والفهم والتدبر والإيمان والعمل. وأوصت المقالة بتحسين طريقة تدريس مادة القرآن الكريم في مدارس نيجيريا وتدريس مادة العربية باللغة العربية. كما أوصت بتدريس مواد الإسلاميات للمتخصصين في الإسلاميات في جامعاتها باللغة العربية بدلا من الإنجليزية
[ISSUES AND PROBLEMS IN HIGHER ORDER THINKING SKILLS (HOTS) OF TEACHING PRACTICES FROM IBN KHALDUN’S PERSPECTIVE] ISU DAN PERMASALAHAN (PdP) KEMAHIRAN BERFIKIR ARAS TINGGI (KBAT) DALAM AMALAN PENGAJARAN GURU MENURUT PANDANGAN IBN KHALDUN
Higher order thinking skills (HOTS) is an important agenda in the education system in Malaysia today in line with the Malaysian Education Development Plan (2013-2025). Practices that integrate HOTS implementation has been across the entire subject with by sourced from levels of Bloom's Taxonomy, Anderson and Krathwohl. However, for Islamic Studies which is based on the Qur'an and Sunnah, implementation HOTS elements need to be translated through Islamic education philosophy of education that puts perfection in mind the major thrust in promoting this culture of thinking skills. The emergence of figures such as Ibn Khaldun's talk about the overall education of the mind based on the concept of God has established in the perspective of understanding diversity in this HOTS. Therefore, this study used the analysis process for analyzing the literature by examining the contents of which have in common synonym or fell within the purpose of the performance-based element of teaching higher-order thinking (HOTS). The findings resulted in four major elements in need is an integrated HOTS namely through aql tamyizi, aql tajribi, aqal nazori dan hakikat insaniyah translated through the implementation process based on the concept, integration and impact. Overall, the implementation of the PdP Islamic education should emphasize integrating HOTS guidelines have been established by Ibn Khaldun to ensure value appreciation and practice by the student meets the requirements established by the reference-based Islamic Educational Philosophy.
Kemahiran berfikir aras tinggi (KBAT) merupakan suatu agenda penting di dalam sistem pendidikan di Malaysia masa kini selaras dengan pelaksanaan Pelan Pembangunan Pendidikan Malaysia (PPPM) 2013-2025. Amalan pelaksanaan yang mengintergrasikan KBAT ini telah merentasi keseluruhan mata pelajaran bersumberkan kepada aras Taksonomi Bloom ubahan Anderson dan Krathwohl. Namun begitu, bagi mata pelajaran Pendidikan Islam yang berteraskan kepada Al-Quran dan As-Sunnah, pelaksanaan elemen KBAT perlu diterjemahkan melalui Falsafah Pendidikan Islam yang meletakkan kesempurnaan pendidikan akal sebagai teras utama di dalam memacu pembudayaan kemahiran berfikir ini. Kemunculan tokoh-tokoh seperti Ibn Khaldun yang membicarakan secara menyeluruh pendidikan akal berteraskan konsep ketuhanan telah mengwujudkan kepelbagaian di dalam perspektif kefahaman KBAT ini. Untuk itu, kajian ini menggunakan proses penganalisisan secara analisis kepustakaan dengan meneliti isi kandungan yang mempunyai kesamaan sinonim atau terangkum di dalam maksud pelaksanaan pengajaran guru berteraskan elemen pemikiran aras tinggi (KBAT). Dapatan kajian menghasilkan empat elemen utama di dalam keperluan untuk menginterasikan KBAT iaitu menerusi aql tamyizi, aql tajribi, aqal nazori dan hakikat insaniyah yang diterjemahkan melalui proses pelaksanaan berasaskan konsep, intergrasi dan kesan. Secara keseluruhannya, pelaksanaan PdP pendidikan Islam yang mengintergrasikan KBAT seharusnya menitikberatkan panduan yang telah dibentuk oleh Ibn Khaldun bagi memastikan nilaian penghayatan dan pengamalan oleh pelajar menepati kehendak yang ditetapkan berasaskan acuan Falsafah Pendidikan Islam
[INSTITUSI TAREKAT TASAWUF DALAM PEMANTAPAN SPIRITUAL INSAN] INSTITUTION OF SUFI ORDER IN HUMAN SPIRITUAL EMPOWERMENT
Sufism is a knowledge discipline which derives from three basic Islamic components along with tauhid and fiqh knowledge. It is a principle of knowledge discussing regarding the cleaning method and purification of soul of an individual Muslim from a mazmumah trait (al-takhalli) and self-prepared method with mahmudah trait (al-tahalli) in order to get the blessing of Allah. It requires a guidance and support from a qualified individual because in order to succeed, there must be many internal and external obstacles will arise that is not easy to be overcomed without guidance. Therefore, sufi order is an institution which consists of the practise and the true appreciation of sufism according with the syaikh mursyid’s leadership. Meanwhile, this study is purposing in explaining the concept of sufi order to the society with the main focus is to analyse the tarekat approach which is focused to its role in human spiritual empowerment. This is a qualitative approach study. The data collecting method used is a documentation method which refer to the secondary sources. The finding of the study summarised that the sufi order institution is an effective approach in empowering an individual spiritual through the syaikh mursyid’s approach in guiding the students (salik).
Tasawuf merupakan salah satu disiplin ilmu daripada tiga komponen asas ilmu Islam di samping ilmu tauhid dan fikah. Ia adalah bidang ilmu yang membicarakan berkenaan kaedah pembersihan dan penyucian rohani seseorang individu Muslim daripada sifat mazmumah (al-takhalli) dan kaedah menghiasi diri dengan sifat mahmudah (al-tahalli) dalam usaha untuk sampai kepada keredaan Allah. Ia memerlukan kepada tunjuk ajar dan sokongan daripada individu yang berkelayakan lantaran dalam proses untuk mencapai kejayaan, sudah pasti akan terbentang pelbagai halangan dan rintangan dalaman mahupun luaran yang tidak mudah untuk diharungi tanpa bimbingan. Dengan demikian, tarekat tasawuf merupakan sebuah institusi yang mengandungi pengamalan dan penghayatan tasawuf yang sebenar melalui pimpinan syaikh mursyid. Oleh itu, kajian ini bertujuan menjelaskan konsep tarekat tasawuf kepada masyarakat dengan tumpuan utamanya untuk menganalisis pendekatan tarekat yang difokuskan kepada peranannya dalam pemantapan spiritual insan. Kajian ini adalah berbentuk kajian kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah metode dokumentasi dengan merujuk kepada sumber-sumber sekunder. Dapatan kajian ini menyimpulkan bahawa institusi tarekat tasawuf merupakan satu pendekatan yang efektif dalam memantapkan spiritual individu melalui pendekatan syaikh mursyid dalam membimbing para salik
PENGENDALIAN DOKUMENTASI ANAK SUSUAN DALAM KALANGAN IBU SUSUAN [HANDLING OF BREASTFEEDING DOCUMENTATION AMONG BREASTFEEDING MOTHERS]
Breastfeeding mothers documentation is a mechanism that needs to be established today. Infants who are breastfed by other women in terms of breastfeeding mothers have the effect of Islamic law on issues of Fiqh and worship. Witnessing and confession are instruments introduced by the syariah for the purpose of proving breastfeeding. In this context, the issue of expressing breast milk and commercial sale of breast milk by certain parties are increasing. It is believed that the operation of this practice has not been formally monitored by the authorities. The objective of this study was to find out the practice of documentation of breastfeeding among nursing and breastfeeding mothers. This study uses the document analysis method of the Fiqh book to see the views of scholars in breastfeeding and interviews conducted with breastfeeding mothers and nursing mothers. Studies have found that there are various ways in documentation of breastfeeding mothers. Therefore, for breastfeeding documentation due to current breastfeeding practice, the management of milk-child documentation officially need to be implemented.
Dokumentasi anak susuan merupakan mekanisma yang perlu diwujudkan pada masa kini. Bayi yang disusui oleh wanita lain dengan memenuhi syarat penyusuan memberi kesan hukum syarak dalam isu munakahat dan ibadat. Penyaksian dan pengakuan merupakan instrumen yang diperkenalkan syarak bagi tujuan pembuktian penyusuan anak susuan. Kontemporari ini, berlaku isu pengambilan susu ibu secara ekspres dan penjualan air susu ibu secara komersial oleh pihak tertentu semakin meningkat. Didapati pengendalian kepada amalan ini belum dipantau oleh pihak berkuasa secara rasmi. Objektif kajian ini adalah untuk mengetahui amalan dokumentasi penyusuan anak susuan dalam kalangan penjaga dan ibu susuan. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah analisis dokumen terhadap kitab-kitab fiqh bagi melihat pandangan ulama terhadap penyusuan dan temubual telah dijalankan kepada ibu susuan serta penjaga anak susuan. Kajian mendapati berlaku kepelbagaian cara dokumentasi anak susuan. Justeru, bagi proses pendokumentasian anak susuan ekoran amalan pengambilan anak susuan yang berlaku pada masa kini, pengurusan dokumentasi anak susuan secara rasmi perlu dilaksanakan
PERANAN PENDIDIKAN DALAM PENGUKUHAN KESEJAHTERAAN HABLUM MIN AL -NAS DARI PERSPEKTIF al-QURAN [THE ROLE OF EDUCATION IN STRENGTHENING THE WELFARE OF HABLUM MIN AL-NAS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE QURAN]
The world of education is the backbone in building well-being in human life. It covers three domains, namely cognitive, affective and psychomotor. The affective domain is the most important to be polished so that the value in hablum min al-Nas in the reality of human life can be tasted. Every human being who has various differences from various aspects including religion, race, culture and language, remains no exception in carrying out the role of maintaining this well-being. The four principles of hablum min al-Nas together with the five values of humanity are described in this article, to be taken into consideration in the world of education as a whole. As a result, the formation of 'Good People' through the emphasis on the aspect of manners must be done by making the Qur'an as the best 'humanitarian reference' even for non-Muslims. The universal values contained in the Qur'an as well as its conditions that are sure to be protected from any deviation are the starting point in this matter.
Dunia pendidikan adalah tulang belakang dalam membina kesejahteraan dalam kehidupan manusia. Ia meliputi tiga domain, iaitu kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor. Domain afektif adalah yang paling penting untuk digilap supaya nilai dalam hablum min al-Nas dalam realiti kehidupan kemanusiaan dapat dikecapi. Setiap manusia yang mempunyai pelbagai perbezaan dari pelbagai aspek meliputi agama, bangsa, budaya dan bahasa, tetap tidak terkecuali dalam menjalankan peranan untuk mengekalkan kesejahteraan ini. Empat prinsip hablum min al-Nas bersama-sama lima nilai kemanusiaan dihuraikan dalam artikel ini, supaya diambil perhatian dalam dunia pendidikan secara menyeluruh. Natijahnya, pembentukan ‘Insan Baik’ melalui penekanan aspek adab mestilah dilakukan dengan menjadikan al-Quran sebagai ‘rujukan kemanusiaan’ yang terunggul hatta bagi non-Muslim sekalipun. Nilai sejagat yang terkandung dalam al-Quran serta keadaannya yang pasti terpelihara daripada sebarang penyelewengan menjadi titik tolak dalam perkara ini
[TEACHING VOCAL SKILLS TO NON-ARABIC SPEAKING PRESCHOOL CHILDREN AND PRINCIPLES OF DEVELOPING APPROPRIATE LANGUAGE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR THEM] تعليم المهارات الصوتية لأطفال ما قبل المدرسة الناطقين بغير العربية وأسس بناء البرامج التعليمية اللغوية المعدة
The field of teaching Arabic to speakers of other languages suffers from insufficient educational curricula and research that address the problems and difficulties facing those learners. Therefore, the study aimed to identify the characteristics and problems of the pre-school stage in teaching Arabic as a foreign language, as well as the most important vocal skills and the principles of developing language educational programs for preschool learners. The study used the descriptive analytical approach in the collection and discussion of data, through reviewing some previous studies. Some of the findings the study reached, included: The pre-school stage is one of the most essential stages in acquiring a foreign language, therefore, teaching vocal skills to children at this stage is a vital step due to the distinctive characteristics such learners possess. The study provided a list of vocal skills appropriate for children at this stage, and a set of principles and criteria that have to be met to ensure the success of the language educational programs developed. The study recommended the development of programs and textbooks for teaching Arabic to non-Arabic speaking children based on their needs and in light of international standards.
يعاني مجال تعليم اللغة العربية للأطفال الناطقين بغيرها من قلة المناهج التعليمية، وقلة البحوث التي تتناولالمشكلات والصعوبات التي تواجههم؛ ولذلك هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على خصائص ومشكلات مرحلةما قبل المدرسة في تعليم اللغة العربية لغة أجنبية، وتحديد أهم المهارات الصوتية وأسس بناء البرامج التعليميةاللغوية المناسبة لهم؛ ولتحقيق هذه الأهداف اعتمدت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي في جمع البياناتومناقشتها، من خلال عرض بعض الدراسات السابقة، وتم التوصل إلى بعض النتائج منها: أن مرحلة ما قبلالمدرسة من أهم المراحل في اكتساب اللغة الأجنبية، وتعليم المهارات الصوتية للأطفال في هذه المرحلة خطوةضرورية لما لهم من صفات مميزة، وقدمت الدراسة قائمة بالمهارات الصوتية المناسبة للأطفال في هذه المرحلة،واستنتجت مجموعة من الأسس والمعايير لبناء البرامج التعليمية اللغوية لابد من اتباعها لنجاح البرنامجالتعلمي، وأوصت الدراسة ببناء برامج وكتب تعليم العربية للأطفال الناطقين بغيرها في ضوء احتياجاتهم، وفيضوء المعايير العالمية
[THE WEST’S WAR ON ISLAM THROUGH FALSE SLOGANS: DEMOCRACY AND COUNTER-TERRORISM AS A MODEL] حرب الغرب على الإسلام من خلال الشعارات الزائفة: الديمقراطية ومكافحة الإرهاب نموذجاً
The West, led by America in their war against Islam, launched many slogans of an attractive nature in order to win people's hearts and draw their attention. A large number of Muslims have been deceived by these malicious slogans. They have not realized that these slogans are fantasy and do not exist in reality. The West applies these malicious slogans to deceive people secretly and achieve their target goal. They use the ignorance of many people, who are unaware of the threat of these slogans, to convince them that they are realistic. In this study, the researcher relied on historical and inductive methods. The study found that these slogans, propagated by the West, are malicious and untruthful slogans used to deceive and mislead people. The West uses these slogans as a cover in which they seek to achieve their goals and implement their plans in the war against Islam. The researcher found that a large number of Muslims have been deceived by these slogans due to their ignorance. They adopted the slogans and considered them as part of their goal and objectives which they seek to achieve.
لقد أطلق الغرب بقيادة أمريكا في حربهم على الإسلام شعارات متعددة ذو طابع جذّاب؛ لكسب قلوبالناس ولفت أنظارهم إليها، فانخدع كثير من أبناء المسلمين بظاهر تلك الشعارات البراقة وأيدوها، ولم يدكواأنها مجرد سراب لا حقيقة لها في الواقع، فالغرب يستخدمها كالتقية يمرر من خلالها مخططاته ويصل بها إلىأهدافه، محتجاً بأنه يسعى إلى تطبيق تلك الشعارات الزائفة في المجتمعات، وموهماً للناس أن سر النهضة والرقيفي تطبيقها؛ ولجهل كثير من الناس بحقيقة تلك الشعارات الزائفة، وانخداعهم بها وعدم إدراكهم لمدى خطورتها
OBSESSIONAL COMPULSIVE DISORDER OBSESSIONAL COMPULSIVE DISORDER (WASWÂS AL-QAHRI -OVERWHELMING WHISPERINGS): CASE REPORT AND PSYCHO-SPIRITUAL INTERVENTIONS
There is a manifestation of some kind of ‘obsessive-compulsive disorder’ commonly expressed in Muslim populations and known as Waswâs al-Qahri (Overwhelming whisperings). Muslims who suffer from Waswâs al-Qahri showed, beyond acceptable behaviours, extreme acts and behaviours in acts of worship and their daily activities. From an Islamic perspective, these unwanted thoughts are whispered into the minds and hearts of people by Jinn. This paper examines the different types Waswâs al-Qahri including obsession related with belief, performing rituals, purification and obsession related to cognitive and affective experiences of losing control of one’s life. A case report is presented with psycho-spiritual interventions.
 
MEDIA AS PLATFORMS OF DA’WAH AMONG MUSLIM CONVERTS IN BORNEO
The study examined the use of media as tools of Muslim converts’ da’wah in Sabah, Sarawak and Brunei. There were two categories of media used in this study; social media (Facebook, YouTube, website, blog) and traditional media (television, radio, book, newspaper). The study interviewed 42 informants who lived in the city areas of Sabah, Sarawak and Brunei. The data obtained was arranged into themes and evaluated using descriptive and interpretive analysis approach. The study revealed that most informants partook in disseminating da’wah in media, primarily social media. The informants mostly ‘share’ the posts of others such as famous quotes and the videos of preachers. There were different levels of frequency of the informants’ posts on social media ranging from always to seldom. A few informants however, refrained from using media as platforms to disseminate da’wah because they did not want to offend their non-Muslim ‘friends’ on Facebook, and also they believed they did not have sufficient knowledge to disseminate da’wah. 
[THE QUR’ĀNIC CONCEPT OF HUMAN BEING: A THEMATIC STUDY] التصور القرآني للإنسان: دراسة موضوعية
The problem statement of this research is that the Qur’ān has widely discussed the concept of human being in a number of verses, thus, there is an immense need for the Qur’ānic concept of human to be identified and highlighted. This research aims to clarify the concept of human being in the light of the Qur’ān. This study is significant because it identifies and uncovers the concept of human being according to the Holy Qur’ān, which is very essential to develop and qualify the human being to undertake the duties he is assigned with. To reach the objectives of the research, both the inductive and the analytical approaches are used. The findings of the research show that the human concepts of the human nature and his essential essence are incorrect and contradictory. However, the Qur’ānic concept of human being is distinct and unique for the fact that it is divine, given by his creator who definitely knows him very well. The human being in the light of the Qur’ān is known where he comes from, and is distinct in his own creation, he is also a creation that is being highly valued and received great appreciation in the Qurʾān, and given a special status in the universe distinguishes him from all other creations. Yet, this honor and special status make him responsible to fulfill the mission Allah S.W.T. entrusted him with. In addition, he is a free and willing being but responsible, he is also a weak being in himself unless he depends on his Creator. Finally, this research recommends that the human being concept should be determined in the light of the Qur’ān, since it is correct, sound and comprehensive, it also emphasizes to develop an integrated approach to build the human being that takes into account the reality, characteristics and needs of that creature as mentioned in the Qur’ān.
تكمن مشكلة البحث في أن حديث القرآن الكريم عن الإنسان من حيث ذاته وخصائصه جاء متفرقا فيالآيات الكريمة؛ فلذلك كان جمع تلك الآيات والخلوص بنظرة القرآن الكريم للإنسان على نحو شامل ومتكاملأمرا ضروريا، ويهدف هذا البحث إلى بيان معالم وملامح التصور القرآني للإنسان. هذا البحث مهم لأنهيتناول الإنسان؛ ماهيته وحقيقته وخصائصه في ضوء النظرة القرآنية المتميزة، ومعرفة الإنسان والإلمام بحقيقتهوماهيته يعتبر غاية في الأهمية إذ لا يمكن القيام بعملية بناء الإنسان وعمارته -ثم تأهيله للقيام بمهمتهالوظيفية- على أسس سليمة إلا بمعرفته المعرفة الحقة والتي لا يمكن إيجادها خارج الإطار القرآني، وللوصولإلى أهداف البحث اعتمد الباحث المنهج الاستقرائي لتتبع وجمع الآيات التي تحدثت عن الإنسان وخصائصهوماهيته، مع الرجوع إلى المصادر التفسيرية القديمة والحديثة التي تطرقت إلى هذا الموضوع، وإضافة إلى ذلك،اعتمد الباحث المنهج التحليلي لتحليل النصوص القرآنية لاستنباط نظرة القرآن الكريم للإنسان من حيثماهيته وخصائصه. ومن أهم النتائج التي توصل إليها البحث: أن التصورات البشرية للإنسان تتميز بالقصوروالتناقض بين تصور يحط من قيمة الإنسان وآخر يرفعه إلى مقام الألوهية، وأن الرؤية القرآنية للإنسان متميزةوفريدة من نوعها لأنها من عند الله تعالى خالق هذا الإنسان فهو -وحده- الأعلم به، فالإنسان في التصورالقرآني معلوم الأصل والمصدر، متميز في ذاته وخلقه وتركيبته، وهو مخلوق مكرم نال تقديرا وحفاوة كبيرين فيالخطاب القرآني، وله منزلة خاصة في الكون تميزه عن سائر الموجودات، حيث سخر له جميع ما في الأرضلينتفع به، وهذا التكريم وهذه الحفاوة ليسا لذات الإنسان وإنما للمهمة الشريفة التي أنيطت به، والدور الجللالذي كلف بأدائه وهو خلافة الله في أرضه؛ فهو شُ رِّفَ لأنه كُل فَ. وهو كائن حر وذو إرادة ولكنه مسؤول،كما أنه كائن ضعيف في ذاته ما لم يعتمد على خالقه. ومن أبرز توصيات البحث: ضرورة تحديد التصورللإنسان في ضوء القرآن الكريم لأنه الصحيح والسليم، ليتم -وفق هذا التصور- وضع منهج متكامل لبناءالإنسان يراعي حقيقته وخصائصه وحاجياته
