       Solat merupakan rukun Islam yang kedua selepas mengucap dua kalimah syahadah yang wajib dilaksanakan oleh setiap umat Islam. Ibadah solat adalah bentuk komunikasi antara seorang hamba dengan Penciptanya. Tujuan kajian ini dijalankan untuk mengenal pasti pengetahuan, pengamalan solat, mengenal pasti kesan ibadah solat terhadap tingkah laku dan kepimpinan serta menganalisis hubungan ibadah solat dengan tingkah laku dan kepimpinan diri pelajar sekolah menengah kebangsaan Tok Dor. Kajian ini menggunakan reka bentuk tinjauan dan teknik pensampelan rawak mudah. Responden kajian terdiri daripada 175 murid tingkatan satu hingga tiga sekolah menengah kebangsaan Tok Dor di daerah Besut, Terengganu. Instrumen kajian yang digunakan adalah soal selidik. Manakala data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif untuk menerangkan data dan metode inferensi untuk melihat hubungan antara pemboleh ubah. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa tahap pengetahuan dan pengamalan solat fardu dalam kalangan pelajar adalah tinggi. Selain itu, analisis mendapati bahawa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan, pengamalan solat dengan kesan ibadah solat terhadap tingkah laku dan kepimpinan diri. Oleh itu, kajian ini mencadangkan agar pihak sekolah dan ibu bapa meneruskan serta memperkasa program keagamaan bagi mengekalkan dan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pengamalan solat dalam kalangan pelajar, dengan harapan dapat melahirkan pelajar yang berakhlak mulia, berdisiplin, bertanggungjawab dan mampu membuat keputusan yang bijak serta mampu menetapkan matlamat dan berusaha mencapainya dengan penuh ketekunan. Prayer is the second pillar of Islam after declaring the two kalimah syahadah, which must be performed by every Muslim. The act of prayer is a form of communication between a servant and their Creator. The purpose of this study is to identify the knowledge and practice of prayer, identify the effects of prayer on behavior and leadership, as well as analyze the relationship between prayer and behavior and self-leadership of students at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tok Dor. This study uses a survey design and simple random sampling technique. The study respondents consist of 175 students from form one to form 3 of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tok Dor in the Besut district of Terengganu. The research instrument used is a questionnaire. Data collected are analyzed using descriptive methods to explain the data and inferential methods to examine the relationship between variables. The findings show that the level of knowledge and practice of obligatory prayer among students is high. Additionally, the analysis reveals a significant relationship between knowledge, practice of prayer, and the effects of prayer on behavior and self-leadership. Therefore, this study suggests that schools and parents continue and strengthen religious programs to maintain and improve the knowledge and practice of prayer among students, with the hope of producing students who are of noble character, disciplined, responsible, able to make wise decisions, and set goals and strive to achieve them with diligence

    Jam‘ al-Qira’at merupakan salah satu kaedah menghimpunkan bacaan Qira’at yang dicipta bagi mempraktikkan wujuh al-Qira’at dalam pembacaan al-Qur’an. Kaedah Jam‘ al-Qira’at merupakan satu langkah yang wajar bertujuan memelihara dan mengekalkan wujuh al-Qira’at dalam al-Qur’an sebagaimana ia diturunkan. Oleh itu, kajian ini dilakukan bertujuan menganalisis dan membandingkan kaedah Jam’ al-Qira’at dalam dua karya penting dalam Jam‘ al-Qira’at iaitu al-Tuhfat al-Mardiyyah dan al-Minah al-Ilahiyyah berdasarkan Qira’at al-Sab’ Tariq al-Shatibiyyah. Kedua-dua karya ini menjadi rujukan utama dalam bidang Ilmu Qira’at dari sudut praktikal Jam‘ al-Qira’at. Sumbangan kedua-dua karya ini sangat besar terhadap perkembangan Ilmu Qira'at khususnya dalam mengaplikasi bacaan secara Jam‘ al-Qira’at. Penerimaan kedua-dua karya ini tidak dapat dinafikan dalam konteks praktikal Jam‘ al-Qira’at al-Sab‘ Tariq al-Shatibiyyah. Dalam kajian ini, pendekatan yang digunakan adalah bersifat kualitatif iaitu menganalisis struktur dalam konteks Jam‘ al-Qira'at dan membuat perbandingan dalam dua karya tersebut. Hasil daripada kajian dan analisis pula ialah dapat mengetahui perbezaan kaedah kedua-dua karya tersebut yang digunakan dalam Jam‘ al-Qira'at selain dapat memahami hukum-hukum dan syarat-syarat berkaitan Jam‘ al-Qira'at. Jam' al-Qira'at is one of the methods of gathering Qira'at readings created to practice the appearance of al-Qira'at in reading the Qur'an. The Jam' al-Qira'at method is a reasonable step aimed at preserving and maintaining the appearance of al-Qira'at in the Qur'an as it was revealed. Therefore, this study was conducted to analyze and compare the method of Jam' al-Qira'at in two important books in Jam' al-Qira'at, namely al-Tuhfat al-Mardiyyah and al-Minah al-Ilahiyyah based on Qira'at al- Sab' Tariq al-Shatibiyyah. These two books are the main references in the field of Ilmu Qira'at from the practical point of view of Jam' al-Qira'at. The contribution of these two books is very great to the development of the Ilmu Qira'at, especially in the application of Jam' al-Qira'at reading. The acceptance of these two books cannot be denied in the practical context of Jam' al-Qira'at al-Sab' Tariq al-Shatibiyyah. In this study, the approach used is qualitative, which is to analyze the structure in the context of Jam' al-Qira'at and make comparisons in the two books. The result of the study and analysis is to be able to know the difference between the methods of the two works used in Jam' al-Qira'at as well as being able to understand the laws and conditions related to Jam' al-Qira'at

    Financial instruments, including securities and commercial papers, hold significance in human transactions. However, they have a negative impact on ordinary traders, including natural personalities who are unaware of their dangers. This negative impact extends to those who depend on them. Sometimes, these financial and commercial papers are dealt with out of urgent need, and individuals may easily engage with them without realizing the potential risks. This negative impact manifests in two aspects: firstly, they may be compelled to pay exorbitant interest as a penalty for engaging in unlawful transactions, and secondly, they may face imprisonment, thus restricting their freedom. Therefore, researchers strive to find solutions to protect ordinary people from the adverse effects of financial and commercial papers, which they may not fully comprehend. One proposed solution involves establishing an official body responsible for approving low-value commercial papers that ordinary people deal with, ensuring their protection from potential negative consequences that could affect their families, including spouses and children. This way, people are safeguarded from potential risks that may befall them

    Keperluan rawatan oleh perawat lelaki menurut syarak merupakan isu penting dalam perubatan Islam yang memerlukan keseimbangan antara keperluan rawatan kesihatan dan pematuhan kepada hukum syariah. Islam menekankan penjagaan kesihatan serta kewajipan menjaga aurat dan maruah wanita terutama dalam situasi rawatan perubatan. Namun, terdapat persoalan tentang bagaimana batas syarak dapat dipelihara dalam keadaan apabila tiada perawat wanita atau dalam situasi kecemasan yang memerlukan tindakan segera oleh perawat lelaki. Artikel ini membincangkan kedudukan rawatan oleh perawat lelaki terhadap pesakit wanita berdasarkan panduan syarak termasuk isu aurat, interaksi antara lelaki dan wanita (khalwat) serta situasi darurat yang membenarkan rawatan tersebut. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah pengumpulan data kualitatif melalui analisis literatur dari sumber-sumber syariah, pandangan ulama serta dokumen berkaitan rawatan perubatan oleh perawat lelaki. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa rawatan oleh perawat lelaki dibenarkan dalam keadaan darurat dengan syarat mematuhi batasan syarak yang ketat bagi memastikan kehormatan dan maruah pesakit wanita tetap terpelihara sesuai dengan prinsip syariah. The necessity of treatment by male healthcare providers according to Islamic law is an important issue in Islamic medicine that requires a balance between the need for healthcare and adherence to Shariah law. Islam emphasizes health preservation as well as the obligation to protect women’s modesty and dignity especially in medical treatment situations. However, there is a question of how Shariah boundaries can be maintained when female healthcare providers are unavailable or in emergency situations that require immediate action by male providers. This paper discusses the position of treatment by male healthcare providers for female patients based on Shariah guidelines including issues such as modesty (aurat), interaction between men and women (khalwat) and emergency situations that allow such treatment. This study uses qualitative data collection methods through literature analysis of Shariah sources, scholars' views and documents related to treatment by male healthcare providers. The findings show that treatment by male healthcare providers is permitted in emergency situations provided strict adherence to Shariah boundaries to ensure the dignity and modesty of female patients in accordance with Islamic principles

    Salah satu ciri utama kontra hegemoni politik Melayu ialah ketidakakuran sebahagian rakyat bukan muslim terhadap polisi kepimpinan politik yang menyebelahi kepentingan orang Melayu dan agama Islam. Namun, terdapat sesetengah pihak yang berpandangan bahawa fenomena ketidakakuran ini sebagai petanda suburnya demokrasi dan rakyat semakin bebas bersuara. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk membuat penilaian tentang situasi kontra hegemoni politik Melayu di Malaysia menurut kaca mata syariah. Termasuk dalam objektif kajian ini ialah kajian mengenai pendirian syariah terhadap kuasa politik orang Melayu di Malaysia yang diperoleh melalui pendekatan paksaan dan sukarela, sehingga dikatakan menghakis nilai-nilai demokrasi. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan menganalisis pelbagai nas al-Quran dan al-Hadith, berdasarkan pendapat para ulama dalam kerangka pelbagai kaedah fiqh yang berkaitan. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa situasi kontra hegemoni politik Melayu adalah bertentangan dengan kehendak syarak yang menuntut umat Islam agar berkuasa mutlak. Islam mengiktiraf pendekatan menggunakan kuasa lunak dan kuasa keras untuk memperoleh keakuran semua kaum lain. One of the main features of the Malay political counter-hegemony is the non-Muslims dissentients with pro-Malay and Islamic government policies. But some parties see the phenomenon as a sign of the resurgence of democracy and the right to free speech. This study aims to evaluate the concept of Malay political counter-hegemony in Malaysia according to the sharia perspective. The objective of this study includes the syariah stance on the political power of the Malays in Malaysia, which is obtained through coercion and voluntary approaches, so it is said to erode the values ​​of democracy. This qualitative study will analyse various texts of the Qur'an and al-Hadith, based on the opinions of scholars within the framework of various relevant jurisprudence methods. The findings of the study demonstrate how sharia law, which requires Muslims to hold absolute authority, runs opposite to the counter-hegemony of Malay politics. Islam recognizes the approach of using soft power and hard power to subservient of all other races

    SARDIYAH AL-SAJIN FI SURAT YUSUF (QIRAʼAH SIMIYAʼIYAH) [THE NARRATION OF THE PRISONER IN SURA YUSUF (SEMIOTIC STUDY)

    This study aims to reveal the prisoner’s narrative in (Surat Yusuf), as it studies the linguistic signs and their connotations in the narrative elements: (character, time, and space). The character was studied according to the following division: character description (external and internal), then study Personality determinants (the signifier and the signified). This study was applied to the character of Yusuf, peace be upon him, and the two young men who accompanied him in his prison, as mentioned in Surat Yusuf. Then followed by a study of (space and time) and their impact on the prisoner and his relationship with this punitive place. The research’s problem lies in highlighting the narrative features of the prisoner in the Qur’anic story. The research relied on the mechanisms of the semiotic approach in dividing the previous topics. As for the results of this research, the most important of them are focusing on the essence of the personality and its function, not on its external form. The role and responsibility of the Prophet appeared even in the darkest and harshest circumstances, as well as the emergence of some characteristics that confirm the humanity of the prophets, and then the unique ending of the prisoner who proves his innocence and maintains his right and status.     SUFISM AND ISLAMIZATION IN MALAYSIA: HISTORICAL OVERVIEW

    This article discusses the role of Sufism in Malaysia’s Islamization, tracing its historical development, cultural influence, and integration with local religious traditions. Sufism is an Islamic mystical practice that emphasizes divine proximity, spiritual transformation, and inner peace. Thus, it was pivotal to the gradual adoption of Islam in Malaysia. This research studies the religious landscape of the region before Islamization, including Buddhism, Hinduism, and indigenous beliefs. The influence of Sufism was brought about by the arrival of Islam and facilitated by trade routes and scholarly exchanges. This helped to ease the transition by incorporating local spiritual practices. Early Sufi figures, such as Sheikh Ismail al-Khalidi al-Rumi, Sheikh Nuruddin al-Raniri, and Sheikh Ahmad al-Fatani, were instrumental in spreading Sufi teachings and establishing a lasting presence in Malaysia's religious environment. This study sheds light on the significance of the inclusive spirituality and cultural adaptability of Sufism in promoting a harmonious integration of Islamic principles within Malaysia's unique cultural texture. By focusing on personal transformation and devotion, Sufism not only contributed to the Islamization process but also enriched Malaysia's Islamic identity by blending tradition with mysticism to present a unique form of spiritual expression

    TAḤLĪL DALĀLAT KĀNA WA-AKHAWĀTUHĀ FĪ SŪRAT AL-BAQARAH [ANALYZING THE SEMANTIC OF KĀNA WA AKHAWĀTUHĀ IN SŪRAH AL-BAQARAH]

    The study focuses to the significance of the semantic of al-Nawāsikh in sūrah al-Baqarah. The study raised some questions includin of what is the meaning of the semantic? What is the meaning of Kāna wa akhawātuhā? Which are the most commonly used in sūrah al-Baqarah? The study aims to identify some of the semantic of al-Nawāsikh, then apply them to sūrah al-Baqarah and clarify the semantic through an analytical study and reveal the results reached by the study. The research followed three approaches - inductive, descriptive and analytical, to extrapolate the data related to the conditions of verbs and nouns, then the descriptive approach to describe this data. As for the analytical approach, it is in analyzing the data reached by the research. The research reached several results, including that the semantic of al-Nawāsikh differ from one verse to another according to what the context requires, as well as the deviation of some verbs from their significances according to the context. At the end of this study, the research recommends the necessity of expanding research into the chapter on al-Nawāsikh and its implications in the al-Qur’ān, given the great importance it represents in understanding the intended meaning of the al-Qur’ān text and the resulting legal rulings that affect the daily life of the Muslim. The study contributes to clarifying the semantic of al-Nawāsikh and the correct ways of using them in the al-Qur’ān, which leads to the development of the Arabic language as the language of Islamic civilization

    ISLAMIC COSMOPOLITANISM: REUNITING THE SOCIO-RELIGIO, RELIGIO-CULTURE, AND RELIGIO-POLITICS OF THE PRESENT

    Cosmopolitanism exists as a discourse born of a new expression of multiculturalism, in which collective identities interact as opposed to attempts at discrimination. In line with Islam which prioritizes maintaining human dignity, upholding mutual respect, and accommodating diverse cultures. This study aims to elaborate Islamic Cosmopolitanism as a glue tool for today's socio-religious, religio-cultural, and religiopolitical glue. The results of the research show that cosmopolitanism takes as an explicit ethical starting point all human beings are equal whether from tribes, nations, or religious communities. Presenting Cosmopolitanism in Islam is tantamount to an attempt to end wasathiyah. One of the main dimensions of cosmopolitanism is concern for global ethics. Cultural cosmopolitanism highlights new social and cultural configurations that symbolize the increasing mixing of people, customs, and practices in many parts of the world. Cultural cosmopolitanism holds that people can exist meaningfully (i.e., morally, aesthetically, intellectually) in more than one culture or community. The concept of Islamic Cosmopolitanism turns out to be able to combine communities and states to get along better. Cosmopolitans gain a valuable place in human life. A cosmopolitan outlook can help people deal with the challenges of being thrown together with others whose roots, traditions, and legacies differ. The implications of the study present a cosmoplistic Islam, which can be manifested with moderate Islam and become a pillar of rahmatan lilalamin which is reflected in the behavior and perspective of its adherents

    Setiap ayat yang diwahyukan oleh Allah SWT di dalam al-Quran memberikan makna dan tujuan yang tersendiri. Allah SWT menurunkan al-Quran dalam Bahasa Arab supaya manusia (menggunakan akal untuk) memahaminya (QS 12:2). Oleh itu kajian ini akan menunjukkan penggunaan tiga lafaz yang terpilih untuk perbezaannya iaitu lafaz "qalb", "shadr", dan "fuad" yang terdapat dalam al-Quran. Penggunaan tiga lafaz memberikan makna yang hampir kerana merujuk kepada aspek hati, emosi dan kehidupan batiniah manusia. Makna seakan sama akan tetapi wujud perbezaan diantaranya. Dalam kajian ini penulis akan memberikan definisi dan penjelasan terperinci tentang setiap konsep serta membuat perbandingan untuk memahami perbezaannya menurut perspektif al-Quran. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah kepustakaan dan sorotan literasi bersumberkan Google Scholar dan Attanzil dengan carian subjek "qalb", "shadr", dan "fuad". Kajian ini juga merujuk kepada tafsir Ibn Katsir untuk mengetahui secara terperinci akan huraian-huraian setiap tiga lafaz tersebut. Kajian ini penting untuk dijalankan supaya setiap orang dapat melihat dengan jelas penggunaan lafaz-lafaz itu sesuai mengikut kehendak makna ayat. Every verse revealed by Allah SWT in the Qur'an has its own meaning and purpose. Allah SWT revealed the Qur'an in Arabic so that people (use reason to) understand it (QS 12:2). Therefore, this study will show the use of three pronunciations selected for their differences, which are the pronunciations "qalb", "shadr", and "fuad" found in the Qur'an. The use of three pronunciations gives a close meaning because it refers to aspects of the heart, emotions and inner life of humans. The meaning seems to be the same but there are differences between them. In this study, the author will provide a detailed definition and explanation of each concept as well as make a comparison to understand the difference according to the perspective of the Quran. This study uses bibliographic methods and literature highlights sourced from Google Scholar and Attanzil with subject searches of "qalb", "shadr", and "fuad". This study also refers to the interpretation of Ibn Katsir to know in detail the descriptions of each of the three words. This study is important to carry out so that everyone can clearly see the use of the words according to the meaning of the verse
