Information technology has led to significant advances in various sciences, including architecture, causing fundamental changes in the quantitative architectural research. In this regard, space syntax is one of the techniques used in space structure analysis that has created new horizons in digital modeling and design. From the syntactic theory point of view, space is the primary core in the state of social and cultural events. Moreover, rather than the attributes of space being individually definable, the relationship between activity and space can be perceived and defined within the existing relationships between the spaces as well as the relationships between spaces and the relationships between the addressees and social interactions. Through the desk and field studies and while getting familiar with the “Graph Theory” and the principles of space syntax (node, connection, spatial arrangement, convex space, and justified plan), this study attempts to evaluate the architecture of Qajar period from another perspective by describing its mathematical relationships in terms of total depth, mean depth, degree of spatial integration and the value of spatial control, and examine the relationship between spatial coexistence in an example of Qajar houses in Esfahan, and the House of Jangjouyan (Warriors’ House) in particular. The method used in this study is a descriptive-analytical one with a case study strategy, for which the definitions of “Gross Hopper” and” Space syntax” are used to quantify it. The present study introduces for the first time the value of control in space, which implies the adaptability of space as one of the indicators of flexibility. The results indicate that the courtyard positioning in the middle layers and its relationship with the intermediate spaces including the corridors, stairs, and partitions create a significant role for it, leading to its flexibility in the spatial configuration, while the location of yards in the primary layers in the contemporary homes has declined in importance and this role has been transferred to other spaces

The contemporary world is a space full of messages, and information that is exchanged constantly. All the urban visual effects (whether in open spaces or huge images, or in closed public places), have a special visual expression power that defines how they can be used in the field of environmental graphic design. Large and tourist cities face many problems. Problems related to tourist may arise in communicating tour guide such as the weakness of the information system in identifying tourist sites, the lack of adequate facilities on sites such as maps, movies and educational boards. In tourist cities, one observes that environmentally graphic elements is not used and have no vitality and designed related to the urban texture. The present study, attempts to design and present a model based on informative environmental graphics to determine the specific route of tourism in order to know the space of urban tourism sites. Considering that the purpose of this research is to use the capabilities and functions of environmental graphics in the historical space of tourist cities and finally to provide a model to determine the routing infographic, so in terms of purpose it is practical - development. When studies done related to the scientific principles of environmental graphic design with aesthetic language as an effective tool in facilitating the routing of tourists and paying attention to special tourist routes, it is also based on descriptive-analytical research method. The environmental graphics at Naghsh-e Jahan Square do not respond to the rapid growth and development of this tourist site. This is because in many cases not only it does not convey information to the audience, but causes confusion and difficulty. Most of the environmental graphic factors in Naghsh Jahan Square are not in their proper place and therefore have lost their features and have only made this space more crowded. Therefore, with the proposed model of this research, domestic and foreign audiences can become more familiar and use the facilities and attractions of tourist sites

As one of the most significant geotechnical hazards, earthquake often threatens Iran’s plateau areas. In Iran, the earthquake risk has increased due to the intensification of the expansion of cities and the concentration of population and capital. Iran is one of the five seismic countries in the world due to the Alpin-Himalayan seismic. According to the experts, on average, there is a 6-magnitude earthquake each year and a 7 Richter earthquake occurs every 10 years. In addition, historical surveys also indicate that vast areas of Iran have suffered financial and life losses due to this natural disaster. Therefore, we have to accept the fact that there is an earthquake and we need to use the best solutions to reduce losses. In this research, which is done by the library method, initially, we will suggest the factors that make it possible to see the increase of earthquake damages and then by investigating the factors affecting the reduction of earthquake damages and especially the role of architects in this regard, we present the results at the end
