Mechanisms of the Generation of a Smile and Laughter
Get PDFP(論文)A great Greek philosopher, Aristotle once said that laughing is a nature of human beings. Since then, agreat number of scholars such as philosophers, linguists, psychologists, literati, and writers have tried toexamine the mechanisms of laughter from their unique viewpoints, although a satisfactory explanation of thecause of laughter has not yet been made. In this paper, I first presented the classification of laughing intoseveral types such as a pleasurable laughter, a social smile, and so on, from phylogenetic and ontogeneticperspectives. Then, I overviewed various interpretations of the cause of laughter from philosophical,linguistic, and psychoanalytic viewpoints, presenting concrete examples of wit, humors and jokes,whichleads to an investigation of how and why people could laugh. Finally, the mechanisms of a smile andlaughter an a physiological level were discussed in terms of the brain systems and its relation to facialexpressions.departmental bulletin pape
An Analysis of Imageability for Single Character Kanji Words with ON and KUN Pronunciations
Get PDFP(論文)In order to collect the data on imageability for 427 single character Kanji words with ONand KUN pronunciations, 25 Japnese college students rated imageability of these Kanji wordsbased on a seven-point scale. The results showed that there was a highly significantcorrelation in imageability between the current data and Sakuma et al.'s data, and that theimageability ratings were higher for Kanji words with KUN pronunciations than for thosewith ON pronunciations. Also, imageability correlated significantly with age of writtenacquisition measured by Gakunen-haitouhyou, indicating that imageability was higher forKanji words learned earlier during six years of elementary school, compared with thoselearned later during the elementary school years.departmental bulletin pape
A Study of the Development of the Definite Article in the Latter Text of the Wycliffite Bible
Get PDFP(論文)In the Wycliffite Bible (written late in the 14th century), the uses of articles are not yetwell-established. There is a wide difference in use between the definite articles in the earlierand the latter text. For example, the zero-article + plural disciplis and apostlis in the earliertext have a marked tendency to be used as the definite article + plural the disciplis and theapostlis in the latter text. This tendency may be a more distinctive feature in the NewTestament than in the Old Testament. The latter text, however, has no established form of the definite article + plural as that ofthe Authorized Version (written in 1611). And so the zero-article + plural disciplis andapostlis can be interchangeably replacd with the definite article + plural the disciplis andthe apostlis without any difference.departmental bulletin pape

As the result of this study, it can be analogized that the support method is not soclear. However, it becomes clear that viewpoints of the study for constructing the supportmethod are to pay attention to "process of support", "intention of support" and "interactionof the care manager and the client". No full textP(論文)The purpose of this paper is to clarify the bibliography about the monthly bulletin "TheCentury of Children" of The Association of Osaka Children Protectiion, located in Osaka'sNorth Civic Centre. (Director Shinato SHIGA worked and played an important role on thesettlement movement for poor peoples) The Association made it for child protection and brought about methods to become themodels of many child welfare measures. For example, they compaigned with slogan "love andrespect children, bring them up strongly" and they gave out leaflets. In doing so, they alsoundertook medical examinations of infants and babies. As a result, parents understood thenecessity and importance of medical examinations for their infants and learned new methodsin child care. Allso they published the monthly bulletin named "the Children Protection" followed "theCentury of Children", for enlightenment of new methods in child care and education. From Rationalism to Ratiovitalism : - Thought Thread of Ortega's Criticism to Rationalism -

Ortega y Gasset, a Spanish philosopher, for the first half of his life, investigated his philosophicalsituation of ratiovitalism, criticizing the modern rationalism in his book of "Modern Time" published in1923. He accepted the historical mission of his generation at the altitude of time and tried to establish thephilosophy of vital reason in order to get over the current of thoughts in moderm times. According to theopinion of Ortega, the reason was discovered by Socrates in Greek B. C. 5 c., and afterwards spontaneouslives of Europeans had been controlled by the reason. But in our times Europeans feel and know thelimits of reason and begin to live their spontaneous lives. Therefore, Ortega advocates the vital reasonwhich integrates cultural and vital imperatives, criticizing the excess and surplus of rationalism and puttingtogether workings of reason into brief points. And He offers dual system of vital reason which consistsof cultural imperative (truth, goodness and beauty) and vital one (sincerity, impetus and satisfaction). Hisphilosophy of human life has fertile and diversified characters ; altruism, generosity, ironical andtransparent quality of cristal, sufficiency, positive value and nagative one or nobility and vulgarness,sportfulness and perspectivism. Effects of Dietary Fibers on Gastrointestinal Transit Time and Stools
Get PDFP(論文)The rats were fed for three weeks on the each feed contained 1%, 3% and 5% dietary fiber fromcellulose, Chinese cabbage, radish, Cortinellus shiitake, and Undaria pinnatifida. The effects of the dietary fibers intake by the quantities and the kinds on the gastrointestinal transit time,percentage of water content in stools, the faecal weight of 100 pieces, the using rate of air dried feed wereevaluated. A Study of Range of Practice for Care Managers
Get PDFP(論文)SUMMARY : Recently, clarification studies about range of practice for care managers have beenrequested, because care managers have worry about the range. In this paper, the three models of caremanagement-"Minimun model", "Coordination model", and "Inclusive model" - are used as an analyticalframework, and in accordance with the law the clarification of range of practice for care managers is tried. In the law, it is clarified that care managers should practise "Minimum model", but they need notpractise "'Coordination mode' and 'Inclusive model'" from the analysis result in this paper. Get PDFP(論文)最近の研究や人口調査によると、2025年までに途上国では障害者の数は現在に倍するとも言われている。もはや、障害者への支援は少数者のためのものではなく、グローバルレベルの新たな重要課題となっている。 国際連合は従来の障害者分野での援助方法を見直し、CBR(community based rehabilitation)や、コミュニティーケアという概念を用いてその効果的な援助を模索しているが未だ十分な理解を得られていない。 本稿では、アジアにおける障害者の現状と障害者分野における先進国やわが国の国際協力の現状を点検し、その難点の克服が可能であるか否かを探る。そして、今後の協力体制のあり方に示唆を与える思想でもあると考えられるCBRの基本的理念の本質は、我々が近代以前から独自に涵養してきた共生概念、ケアの思想に見出せる、という仮説を神話や民衆説話を通じて提起する。 草の根的レヴェルからの障害者国際協力の可能性を期待し、日本からの共生概念の発信の必要性を提起するものである。departmental bulletin pape
Ortega's Perspectivism : - Toward the Integration of Rationalism and Relativism -
Get PDFP(論文)In this paper, I study the content of perspectivism in the philosophy of J. Ortega yGasset. Perspectivism is Ortega's theory of knowledge that unifies rationalism andrelativism in the past western philosophical thoughts. As for the perspectivism, Ortegapresents the three articles, "Truth and Perspective" in "The Spectator-1"(1916), "TheDoctrine of Point of View" in "Modern Theme"(1923) and "The Historical Significanceof the Theory Einstein" as the appendix of "Modern Theme"(1923). At first, in"Truth and Perpective", Ortega annouces the outline of perspectivism. Next, in "TheDoctrine of Point of View", he wholly explains this principle criticizing both rationalismand relativism and combining this with that. Because rationalism tries to preserveculture only to deny all significance to life, and relativism, on the contrary, gets rid ofthe objective value of culture altogether in order to leave room for life. And moreover,in "The Historical Significance of the Theory of Einstein", four characteristics ofEinstein's theory, that is, absolutism, perspectivism, aniti-utopianism or anti-rationalismand finitism are presented for the justication of historical situations where theperspectivism emerges at the present day.departmental bulletin pape
