    Controlling Rice Pests with Biopesticides: Counseling at BPP Nusa Bakti, Belitang III District, East OKU

    Counseling activities on the use of biopesticides in controlling pests in rice cultivation in the target area of BPP Nusa Bakti, Belitang III District, OKU Timur Regency have been carried out successfully. The aim of the extension activities is to increase understanding of biopesticides and their use as an alternative solution that is environmentally friendly in controlling pest attacks on rice plants. Implementation of activities from January 25 to February 17 2022 with participants from the Nusa Bakti assisted area group. The methods used are counseling (submission of materials and discussions), demonstrations (application of biopesticide) and evaluation. The results of this extension activity showed a positive response and farmer enthusiasm, increased knowledge about biopesticides, and was considered to provide an environmentally friendly influence in controlling rice plant pests

    Training on Ectomycorrhizal Fungus Inoculant Production Techniques for Agricultural Land at Campus IV, Khairun University

    Khairun University Campus IV is currently being developed as an educational tourism location. One form of activity is developing agricultural land. The problem there is that the land is still not very fertile. Efforts that can be made are by developing ectomycorrhizal inoculants to increase soil fertility. Community service activities are directed at providing training to the community around Campus IV Unkhair in producing ectomycorrhizal inoculants. Ectomycorrhiza has several benefits for plants, namely being able to increase the uptake of P and N nutrients. The series of service activities carried out are providing training and practice in exploring ectomycorrhiza in the forest around the Unkhair campus IV area, training in the production of ectomycorrhizal inoculants, and training in applying ectomycorrhizal inoculants on agricultural land

    Fish Feed Production in Panembangan Village, Banyumas Regency

    Fish feed is the largest component in freshwater fish cultivation. Feed costs reach 60%-70% of total production costs. The availability of sufficient fish food, both in quality and quantity, is one of the key factors in the success of fish farming. Good quality fish feed not only has high protein content, but also has good physical properties, one of which is buoyancy. Mitra is the Mina Mandiri group in Panembangan Village, Cilongok District, Banyumas Regency which has problems in producing quality fish feed. This activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of partners in making good quality fish food, which has a protein content that suits the fish's needs and has good buoyancy. The method by which activities are carried out includes coordinating the preparation of service activities with partners, socializing activity programs, implementing activities, and evaluating activity results. Partners are quite enthusiastic about this activity. Partners actively discuss and share experiences related to fish feed production and other fish farming issues. The results of the activity show an increase in partners' knowledge and skills in producing quality fish feed by 50%, based on pre & post tests. Service activities will continue to be carried out as a form of concern and transfer of science and technology to the community, as well as the implementation of the tri dharma of higher education

    The Effect of Applying Cow Dung Manure on Plant Growth and Yield Honey Gray (Cucurbita moschata L.)

    This study aims to examine the effect of cow manure on the growth and yield of pumpkin honey (Cucurbita moschata L.). This research has been carried out in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tridinanti University located in Pulau Semambu Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province. The study has been conducted from April 2023 to July 2023. The method used in this study is an experimental method, using Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 5 (five) treatments and 5 (five) repeats. Each unit consists of 20 plants so that the plants studied are 500 plants. The treatment in this study was P0 (without cow dung manure), P1 (10 tons of cow dung manure per hectare equivalent to 300 g per plant), P2 (20 tons of cow dung manure per hectare equivalent to 600 g per plant) P3 (30 tons of cow dung manure per hectare equivalent to 900 g per plant) and P4 (40 tons of cow dung manure per hectare equivalent to 1,200 g per plant). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of cow dung manure has a good effect on the growth and yield of honey gourd plants. The application of cow dung manure P2 (20 tons/ha) resulted in the main length of the 1st month as high as 187.62 cm, the length of the main stem of the 2nd month as high as 327.16 cm, the length of the main trunk of the 3rd month as high as 367.36 cm, the number of primary branches 2.33 branches, flowering age 37 hst, the number of female flowers 63.30%, dry weight of plants 53.09 g, the number of fruits per plant 1.18 pieces, Fruit weight per plant 1.12 kg and fruit weight per plot 12.71 kg

    The Usage of Mycorrhizal Biofertilizer on 2 Varieties of Long Green Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) in Dryland Soils

    Dryland soils a very high potential land for the development of agricultural crops, including vegetable crops, although the obstacles faced are due to low soil fertility, therefore efforts that can be made to increase production can use mycorrhizal biofertilizers and the use of high-yielding eggplant varieties. Hyphal elongation by mycorrhizal biofertilizer is expected to increase N, P, and K nutrient uptake, growth, and yield of green eggplant and green eggplant varieties can adapt well to less suitable environments. This research was conducted on a farmer's land on Klp Raya Road, Talang Kelapa, Alang-alang Lebar District, South Sumatra Province from March to June 2022. The research used field experiments.  The experimental design used RAK Factorial with 6 treatment combinations that were repeated 4 x.  Factor 1: Variety (V): Milano (V1), Ratih-Hijau-1 (V2).  Factor 2: Mycorrhizal Biofertiliser (M): 5 g (M1), 10 g (M2), 15 g (M3) per plant. The highest eggplant yield was achieved by the Milano variety with mycorrhizal biofertilizer 10 g/plant produce 10.14 kg/plot or equivalent to 27.04 tonnes/ha and increased 93.88% when compared to Ratih Hijau-1 variety with mycorrhizal biofertilizer 5 g/plant

    Urban changes characterized by concrete and steel dominance have threatened the existence of green spaces in cities. Urban greening is crucial to address urban environmental issues. The city of Bandung, faces challenges of limited green spaces and suboptimal park management. The aim of this research is to examine and apply a park asset management model using the asset management approach and GIS. This approach aims to optimize park functionality and enhance the quality of Bandung's green spaces. The study adopts a descriptive approach with interview and field observation techniques. Park attribute data is collected through direct observation and organized in GIS format. Spatial analysis using GIS is conducted to identify park characteristics and potential management opportunities. By employing the asset management approach and GIS, relevant and significant park attributes for asset management can be identified. This information aids in making better park management decisions. Additionally, GIS enables spatial analysis to evaluate the strategic level of parks and optimize their utilization. The asset management approach and the implementation of GIS provide effective solutions for the development and management of Bandung's green spaces. By optimizing the use of park assets and applying asset management principles, it is expected to improve the quality of green spaces and provide greater benefits to the city's residents.Perubahan perkotaan yang cenderung menggunakan beton dan baja dengan minimnya ruang terbuka hijau (RTH) telah mengancam keberadaan lahan hijau di kota. Penghijauan perkotaan sangat penting untuk mengatasi masalah lingkungan perkotaan. Kota Bandung sebagai contoh menghadapi masalah minimnya RTH dan kurang optimalnya pengelolaan taman yang sudah ada. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengkaji dan menerapkan model pengelolaan aset taman menggunakan pendekatan manajemen aset dan SIG. Pendekatan ini diharapkan dapat mengoptimalkan fungsi taman dan meningkatkan kualitas RTH Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dengan teknik wawancara dan observasi lapangan. Data atribut taman dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung kemudian disusun dalam format SIG. Analisis spasial dilakukan menggunakan SIG untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik taman dan potensi pengelolaan yang dapat diterapkan. Melalui pendekatan manajemen aset dan SIG, dapat diidentifikasi atribut-atribut taman yang relevan dan penting dalam pengelolaan aset. Informasi-informasi ini membantu dalam pengambilan keputusan pengelolaan taman yang lebih baik. Selain itu, SIG juga memungkinkan analisis spasial untuk mengevaluasi tingkat kestrategisan taman dan mengoptimalkan penggunaan aset taman. Pendekatan manajemen aset dan penerapan SIG merupakan solusi yang efektif dalam pengembangan dan pengelolaan RTH Kota Bandung. Dengan mengoptimalkan penggunaan aset taman dan menerapkan prinsip-prinsip manajemen aset, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas RTH dan memberikan manfaat yang lebih besar bagi masyarakat kota

    Teenagers in Sampang Regency, especially in Sokobanah Regency, face various problems in this increasingly modern era. various ways and efforts to provide Islamic answers to various problems that exist in the lives of these teenagers. Problems faced include moral decline, motorbike gangs, and drug addicts. K. Holis Jamal and his community, the Nurul Hikmah Youth Prayer Council (MPB), must fundamentally change the morals of teenagers in Sokobanah Sampang District because of this issue. As a result, da'wah must be packaged accurately, perfectly and purely. contextual and factual. The theoretical framework of persuasive communication is the basis for this research, which uses a qualitative naturalistic narrative research approach. K. Holis Jamal's preaching among teenagers is the focus of this journal. The following results were revealed by this research: 1) K. Holis Jamal only met his da'wah partners when he was doing da'wah; 2) he practices da'wah through the MPB Youth Community, Majlis Nurul Hikmah Bersholawat; and 3) instructing members of the Assembly in preaching. Based on supporting factors, research shows: 1) the attractiveness of the communicator; 2) preparing da'wah messages. Apart from that, this research faces obstacles such as: 1) semantic factors and 2) social position. So far, the aim has been to increase kinship with da'wah partners and make maximum use of da'i da'wah strategies

    PESTS AND DISEASES OF ARABIKA COFFEE (Coffea arabika) IN HKM SOLOK RADJO, AIE DINGIN, LEMBANG GUMANTI DISTRICT, SOLOK DISTRICT, WEST SUMATRA PROVINCE

    Coffee was a plantation commodity that has quite high economic value among other plantation crops and plays an important role as a source of foreign exchange for the country, however, the pests and diseases that attack coffee plantations in HKM Solok Radjo are not yet known. This research aims to analyze pests and diseases of Arabica coffee (Coffea arabica) in HKm Solok Radjo, Aie Winter, Lembah Gumanti District, Solok Regency, West Sumatra Province. This research uses interview methods and field observations. The data analysis method in this research is descriptive analysis. The results of the research showed that the pests and diseases that were found in the coffee plantations were Hypothenemus hampei (fruit borer), coffee such as leaf rust disease (Hemilleia vastatrix), coffee fruit rot disease (Colletotrichum sp), coffee leaf spot disease (Cercospora coffeicola), upas fungus disease (Upasia salmonicolor). Pests and diseases in this plant are a nuisance because they can cause the plant to be damaged and even die. In handling it, a number of special steps are needed to eliminate pests and diseases in plants, including using pesticides or rotating crops
