Biological as science dominated by memorize, it could be happened because handout or other reference difficult for students. Therefore, we think must create a new handout which help students order to study biological easily. PENGARUH MODEL HIDROPONIK DAN JENIS PUPUK ORGANIK TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN TANAMAN SELEDRI (Apium Graveolens L)
Hydroponics was derived from the Greek words hydro that means water and ponos which means power. Hydroponics was also known as soilless culture or cultivation of plants without soil. So hydroponic means the plants mindculture utilizing water or without using soil as a soilless growing media. But there were also hydroponics that using soil, chaff, and sand or gravel. Hydroponics system was also applied to the vegetable crops and fruits. The vegetable crops that had been developed with hydroponic system were cabbage, lettuced, kale and celedry. The hydroponic models that used in this research was wick hidroponic models and vertical pipa paralon culture. Each of hydroponic models has its own short coming and advantages. Other factors that also determine the plants growth was fertilizer (nutrient). The nutrient that used in this research were tea waste, fertilizers coffee grounds. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of hydroponic models and nutrients to the celedrys growth rate. The research was quantitative research. PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS PROYEK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS BELAJAR MAHASISWA PADA MATAKULIAH PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR
Based on observations in the course of learning development of teaching materials in IKIP Budi Utomo, an outline of the learning activities using a model presentation discussion.Discussions presentations that do not yet able to accommodate the activity of the students. Some students look sleepy, some even speak for themselves with their friends. So, we need the learning process interesting and fun through classroom action research (PTK) with the implementation of project-based learning. Classroom Action Research (PTK) aims to describe the increase in students' learning activities in the course material development through project-based learning. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research (PTK). PTK steps include planning, implementing action, observation, and evaluation / reflection. These measures were taken in each cycle. This study uses three cycles. Data obtained in the form of learning process and field notes taken from the observation sheet as well as the group's activities in the lessons learned from the observation sheet. Overall, students' learning activities increased from the first cycle of 69.03% to 86.03% in the second cycle. Students are able to carry out all stages of the project is well on the second cycle. Products produced in accordance with the demands of the curriculum
REGENERASI SIRIP KAUDAL IKAN GATUL (Poecilia sp.) YANG MENGALAMI MALFORMASI
Gatul fish in included in the family Poecilidae which is a small fresh water, male is smaller and more colorfull than female. This fish is easy to be taken care in laboratory and has a short reproduction cycle, thus allowing these fish to be one animal model development in the field of biology. Yet, in Indonesia the biological study upon Gatul fish is very limited. The aim of this study is to understand the process of caudal fin regeneration of Gatul fish are malformation (abnormal growth). Caudal fin of Gatul fish were vertically cut in a half of its length. Observation was done using 400x magnification. Picture with taken by camera with digital zooming. The subject of this study with a body length of 2-3 cm. The result shows that regeneration of Gatul caudal fin is started with wound healing in day-1 (D1= 24 hours after amputation) and blastema formation, then stump regeneration begin to grow in D2. Regenerative outgrowth begin in D3 characterized by the formation Blood island and fin rays. Differentiation begin in D6 and extended up to D18. Pengaruh Model Reciprocal Teaching Dipadukan dengan Think Pair Share terhadap Hasil Belajar Mikrobiologi Mahasiswa IKIP Budi Utomo
Location of observation results were obtained preliminary data the value of the results obtained from the study of microbiology student class of 2012 a number of 297 students with a range (86-100) of 20% or 60 students, students with a range of values (70-85) by 23% or 68 students, while the value of students under 70 sebasar 57% or 169. The purpose of this research is as follows: Determine the influence learning model Think Pair Share Reciprocal Teaching combined with the learning outcomes of students. The study design is a quasi-experimental design (Quasi experiments). Research data analysis techniques performed by using analysis of covariance (Anacova). The results showed the average value of the lowest corrected is control by the conventional approach of 63 102 followed by 68. 923 polling stations, amounting to 71. 587 the next Reciprocal Teaching and TPS + RT amounted to 81. 644. Test homogeneity of variance between different groups or homogeneous data. An average of 4 models fell from above that showed significant are: the integration of TPS + RT RT significantly different, real different to the polling stations and significantly different to conventional (control). PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN THINK PAIR SHARE (TPS) BERBASIS MODEL LATIHAN INKUIRI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR KOGNITIF
Pre-research learning observations in SMP Satu Atap Merjosari, VII Class C indicates that students have low cognitive learning outcomes. 17 students have cognitive value meets the Criteria Complete Minimal value of the number of 38 students on the 1st midterm. One reason is the application of learning models are lacking. Low concentration of students in the study can hinder the process of understanding a concept. Students don’t have the opportunity to build their own knowledge, thus causing students get low cognitive learning outcomes. Application of learning model Think Pair Share trains students to work independently and in pairs, which can help improve the learning process. Inquiry Training Model are also needed to help students build their own knowledge, so the application of harmony between the Think Pair Sharelearning model and inquiry training model learning is expected to increase students' cognitive learning outcomes. Class Action Research is composed of two cycles and has a phase Planning, Implementation, observation, and reflection. The experiment was conducted in May to June 2010. The research instrument used held observation sheet learning and test questions each end of the cycle in the study. The results showed that the average score of classical students in the first cycle of 77.5 increased in the second cycle becomes 82.4. Classical completeness increased from 79 became 94.7. This indicates that the application of the Think Pair Sharelearning model based inquiry training model can improve cognitive learning outcomes of students
Pengembangan Modul Statistika sebagai Media Penunjang Mata Kuliah Institusi di IKIP Budi Utomo Malang
This research aims to produce products such as module, which supporter statistics courses in IKIP Budi Utomo Malang institutions. It can be used to enhance the students' ability to solve problems. This research development method using ADDIE models which include analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. Methods of data collection in this study include legibility test. Results of this study we concluded the step wrote statistics module that determining competency standards, specify the title of the module, arrange the contents of the module, cover design, legibility test, revision and production. Based on the conclusion that thelegibility test for aspects of language, presentation, and graphic declared valid while the worthiness aspect of the module is very valid. So based on student legibility test module does not need to be revised. 
PEMBERDAYAAN KETERAMPILAN METAKOGNITIF MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN REFLEKTIF
Thinking skills already begun to be applied and developed to improvestudents ready to compete in the 21st Century. One of thinking skills needed to be developed are metacognitive skills. Empowerment metacognitive skills can be done by reflective learning. Reflective learning activities that could accommodate the concept, reflection, and the questionsare learning journals. The aims of this study is to 1) determine metacognitive skills through the application of learning journals, and 2) to analyze students needs through the reflective learning journal to empower metacognitive skills. The study of this experimental research is the one shot case study design. The study population was all students of Biology. Samples are 23 General Biology course students at odd semester of 2014/2015. Data was obtained by observation, analysis learning journal and rubric asessment of metacognitive skills. The data has been analyzed through descriptive analysis. The results showed that the classical metacognitive skills score is 78,18.Learning journal is a tool that can be used to empower metacognitive skills
