Pemenuhan Hak Politik Disabilitas Perspektif Hukum Islam Saadatul Maghfira
This research is motivated by the Islamic legal perspective on the political rights of disabled individuals post-presidential and legislative elections in the Tanah Datar Regency. It focuses on the Islamic legal viewpoint regarding the political rights of disabled individuals as outlined in Article 13 of Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning Persons with Disabilities in the Tanah Datar region and the support provided by the General Election Commission (KPU) during the elections. In practice, there are still disabled individuals who do not exercise their voting rights due to limited accessibility. This is an empirical research study, which examines how the law operates in society. The primary data sources used are Law Number 8 of 2016 and interviews conducted with the KPU, Bawaslu, disabled individuals. The research findings reveal that the Islamic legal perspective on the political rights of disabled individuals post-legislative and presidential elections in the Tanah Datar Regency is that Islam does not differentiate between individuals based on physical limitations, wealth, but rather emphasizes the importance of faith and piety. Similarly, in Indonesia, the state has accommodated the rights of disabled individuals in terms of both public accessibility and their political rights. This is governed by Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning persons with disabilities and is also accommodated in the Election Law, Law Number 7 of 2017. However, in practice, full accessibility for disabled individuals to exercise their voting rights is not yet entirely met due to the lack of facilities that support disabled individuals in casting their vote
Moderasi Beragama: Pandangan Lukman Hakim Saifuddin terhadap Kehidupan Beragama di Indonesia
This article was written to analyze religious moderation understanding, which had recently become an interesting discussion among the public. It was even predicted that the spirit of the idea could give a feeling of peace to every believer in religion. On the other hand, its presence is seen as weakening religious belief. In addition, other accusations seem to support certain agendas degrading religious values, especially Islam, such as liberalism and secularism. Referring to this case, Lukman Hakim Saifuddin as a scholar and intellectual who received an honorary degree in the field of religious moderation, also expressed his thoughts through a book entitled “Moderasi Beragama: Tanggapan atas Masalah, Kesalahpahaman, Tuduhan, dan Tantangan yang Dihadapinya,” published in 2022, which is the focus writing of this article. By using the descriptive-analytic method, a number of findings were attempted in this article, including an overview of the book on moderation understanding, which significantly influenced the life of religious communities in Indonesia. Then, the comparison of previous studies that were relevant to this idea, as well as to answer negative accusations by some people who did not fully understand the urgency of the existence of religious moderation, as well as the evaluation of books, both in terms of academic strengths and weaknesses
Students' Awareness of Religious Moderation: An Examination of the Effectiveness of Group Format Intelligent Character Education (PKC-KO).
In the realm of education, fostering a moderate character is closely tied to the selection of effective strategies. The precision in executing these strategies plays a crucial role in instilling values successfully. The article aims to assess the effectiveness of group-based intelligent character education services (PKC-KO) in improving madrasah students' awareness of religious moderation. The study utilizes an experimental design with a Non-Equivalent Control Group, focusing on Class X students from Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 EastLampung, using Purposive Sampling. A Likert scale-based assessment is employed, and the data is analyzed using statistical tools such as the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov 2 Independent Samples with the assistance of SPSS. Overall, the research findings reveal the success of group-based intelligent character education programs in enhancing madrasah students' awareness of religious moderation. There is a notable disparity in the students' awareness of religious moderation before and after receiving PKC-KO in the experimental group. In contrast, the control group, without such educational intervention, did not experience a significant increase in awareness. The study underscores that PKC-KO imparts principles of religious moderation, encouraging students to maintain a balanced perspective, avoid extremism, practice tolerance towards diverse religious backgrounds, dispel stereotypes, develop positive interpersonal skills, and contribute to societal peace by respecting religious distinctions. This research holds educational implications, emphasizing the potential of PKC-KO-based programs for cultivating awareness of religious moderation among madrasah students. The study suggests that implementing PKC-KO can significantly impact students' perspectives on religious moderation, promoting a more harmonious and tolerant society
The Social Arithmetics Module Based on Islamic Values and Realistic Mathematics Education to Improve Students’ Problem-Solving Skills
Mathematics learning must be made more exciting and meaningful to overcome the perception that mathematics is a tricky subject. Students must be facilitated to build their knowledge through mathematics learning linked to realistic problems and integrated with Islamic values so that they can solve relevant daily problems. This research aims to develop a Social Arithmetic module based on Islamic values and Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) to help junior high school students improve their problem-solving skills. This research uses R&D with the ADDIE development model. The development of the mathematics module consists of three stages, namely the preliminary, development, and evaluation stages. The resulting module prototype has been assessed as valid by material and media experts. Meanwhile, based on student and teacher responses to the questionnaire, the module was proven suitable for use in mathematics learning. In addition, the results of the paired t-test stated that the module was effective in improving students' problem-solving skills. Therefore, this research concluded that the Social Arithmetics module based on Islamic values and RME that were developed has met the valid and practical criteria and has proven effective in improving the problem-solving abilities of seventh-grade junior high school students
The Arithmetic Sequences in Making Traditional Cast Nets in Lombok
Mathematical concepts can be found in the culture of the community, such as in daily activities and handicrafts. One type of handicraft is the pencar, a cast net (throw net) fishermen use to catch fish. This research aims to explore the arithmetic sequences involved in making a pencar. This research uses qualitative research with ethnography. The research was conducted in Marong Village, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Data were obtained by direct observation of the pencar and the process of making it, interviews with cast-net handycrafters, and literature studies on arithmetic sequences. The results of this study show that there are three arithmetic sequences in the pencar. The first sequence, the number of anak (meshes) between each anakan (widener) in the n-th widener row, is 3, 4, 5, and so on, formulated by Un = 3 + (n - 1). The second sequence, the number of anakan (widener) in the n-th widener row is 44, 45, 46, and so on, formulated by Un = 44 + (n - 1). The third sequence, the number of lubang (meshes) in the n-th anakan is 44, 90, 138, 188, and so on, formulated by Un = n^2 + 43n. The arithmetic sequences in pencar can be used as a problem context for culture-based learning in the arithmetic sequence topic
Website-Based Learning: Optimizing Students’ Numeracy Skills
The evaluation of the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) is currently underway, employing various methods such as the Minimum Competency Assessment (Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum [AKM]). AKM assesses general yet fundamental competencies, including numeracy skills. This assessment method endeavors to delineate students' numeracy skills within the context of website-based learning. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, the study involves 20 eighth-grade students from a Junior High School in Ciamis, West Java, Indonesia. Students are instructed to access a website developed by the researchers, featuring study materials and example problems. Throughout the learning activities, students utilize the Google Meet video conferencing application, activating their cameras for interactive sessions. Following the lesson, students undergo a numeracy skills test comprising validated questions. The research outcomes unveil three distinct levels of numeracy skills among students: high, medium, and low. Those with high-level numeracy skills demonstrate proficiency in mathematical numeracy skills indicators but exhibit errors in applying formulas. Conversely, students with moderate and low mathematical numeracy skills commonly struggle with concept comprehension, identifying relevant formulas, and making calculation errors
