Beyond the Barre: Functional Movement Training and Competitive Dance Athletes
This professional industry experience is held at LeVici Fit Performance Studio located in Eden Praire, MN under the advisement of certified personal trainer and owner Marcus LeVesseur where an observation study is conducted to understand functional movement training practices for various populations/ demographics of clientele including adolescent dance athletes. The goal of this experience is to gather a greater understanding of the day-to-day practices of a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and observing how functional movement strength training exercises can be programed and implemented in sport training curriculums and in private, semi-private and group sessions. The main focus of the observational research is to investigate how functional movement training is applicable in adolescent sports and how it could possibly be considered a recommended form of supplemental strength training for competitive dance athletes. Understanding how to utilize the lessons in this experience towards current and future career endeavors as a dance instructor and inspiring exercise science professional is critical to the overall growth of the observation project and future applicability.

What is Truly Best for Students for Them to Succeed in High School Classrooms Today
This paper examined research studies that explored what is truly best for student success in the field of education. This topic aimed to determine the best way to teach students or ensure they reach their full potential through research findings from various qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method studies. These studies examined the areas of school start times and student’s daily schedules, academic structure and how classes are being offered, student mental health, and the use of technology in the classroom. The research showed a plethora of ways that could help students succeed and gave great insights into data that may already be known. It suggested positive steps that could be taken to provide best practices for high school students. However, research also demonstrated that even when steps are put in place to improve the learning experience the outcome is not always as planned, and the result may not come to fruition. Educational leaders have taken steps to provide the best education to their students both while in the classroom as well as prepare them for the future. Yet going forward, these same leaders will have to continue to adapt schedules, start times, and class options for students as well as focus on the mental health of their kids all while monitoring the use of technology in the classroom
Exploring the Perceived Challenges to Teaching Secondary Physical Education: Comparative Analysis of P.E. Teachers and Administrators
Introduction: Establishing coordination and collaboration between physical education (P.E.) teachers and administration is key for providing highly effective instruction in P.E. The aim of the study was to determine the perceived challenges of physical education teachers and school administrators and if these challenges influence their coordination and collaboration. Methodology: Using Importance vs Performance Analysis (IPA) surveys, an IPA matrix and two tailed t-score were performed. In addition, several focus groups were conducted to collect qualitative data. Thematic analysis was performed to better understand each groups’ perceived challenges. Results: While many factors were found consistent between P.E. teachers and administrators, the results show some disconnect in a few key areas, including perceived support, collaboration, and opportunities for initiating change. Conclusion: Both groups agree on the value of physical education, though significant gaps in perception exist regarding support and collaboration. Future research should focus on examining the impact of specific interventions designed to improve systemic support and collaboration

Attachment Styles\u27 Affect on Parasocial Relationships
New streaming services, social media platforms, and advances in talk and text are constantly developing in society today. The constant addition to new technological outlets creates a larger platform for viewers to watch and follow their favorite celebrity, television character, or influencers whenever they want. The researchers chose to investigate how a person’s attachment style affects both the likelihood and severity of forming a parasocial relationship with their favorite celebrity or T.V. personality. Specifically, the researchers explored the effect both gender and experiences affect this connection. Participants of the study attend a Lutheran, faith-based institution of college education in an urban area of the Midwestern United States. The study thoroughly addressed the relationship between the attachment styles and their likelihood of forming a one-sided relationship with someone they may have never met
Identification of the presence of Staphylococcus enterotoxin A in positive S. aureus samples
Staphylococcus aureus is a commensal bacterium found in the nares, skin, and mucosal membranes. In most cases, it causes no harm, but there are instances where it can become pathogenic and produce toxins that have superantigenic activity. Staphylococcal enterotoxin A (SEA), when ingested, is the causative agent responsible for classical food poisoning symptoms such as emesis, nausea, and others. When SEA enters the bloodstream, it can cause toxic shock due to mass T cell proliferation and cytokine storm. In order to determine if positive Staphylococcus aureus samples contain the SEA gene, DNA was purified and amplified using PCR. DNA gel electrophoresis was conducted to analyze whether positive samples contain the SEA gene. We found that out of 56 samples tested only 0.07% of the samples had SEA present
Social Media Use and Awareness of Privacy Concerns
The usage of social media in our society is prevalent in our daily lives. Although social media usage is at an all time high, the tools and technologies that provide security and protection can be compromised. Users of social media platforms should be made aware of the risks and pitfalls of these applications. Our study identified that users of social media platforms are generally aware of insecurities within the platforms. The researchers determined that the frequency of posting does not cause risks for privacy concerns. Although the users had general awareness and concern, they were heightened after additional information was provided to them in regards to social media security and how personal data is collected and used on social media platforms
Analysis of Peer Influence on Adolescents and Adults
Peers are a huge part of life and affect people in many different ways. In adolescence and adulthood, peers have different kinds of impacts. The researchers chose to research how peer influence can affect the decisions, performance and attitudes of adolescents and adults. Specifically, researchers analyzed how lifestyle decisions influenced by peers affect mental health and how the effects differ from gender and age. Participants of the study were selected to fit the three age groups needed for this study and responses were collected via electronic survey. Throughout this study, the relationship that peer influence has with mental health, positive and negative activities, and age is fully addressed
Influence of Coach-Athlete Relationship on Performance and Culture
One of the most influential parts of any team’s dynamics is the relationship between the coach and their athletes. This relationship can impact the performance of the team, in terms of wins and losses, and the culture, in terms of shared beliefs, social values, and norms that impact player behavior on and off the field. The overall goal of this study was to develop a project that would help others gain a better understanding of what has an impact on the coach-athlete relationship, and what influence the coach-athlete relationship has on the performance and team culture. If this study were to be carried out, athletes and coaches will be able to see the impact and importance of the coach-athlete relationship on performance and culture from insights gained from the data. This study may be able to give coaches a better understanding of athlete’s viewpoints on the importance of the relationship and its impacts
