    Get PDF
Natural science education plays a critical role in shaping students’ understanding of the natural world and their responsibility toward environmental sustainability. Within faith-informed educational contexts, science learning is increasingly viewed not only as an empirical endeavor but also as a medium for ethical and spiritual reflection. This study aims to synthesise existing research on the integration of Islamic values into natural science education in fostering environmental awareness among elementary school students through a Systematic Literature Review guided by the PRISMA 2020 framework. Relevant studies published between 2018 and 2024 were systematically identified, screened, and analysed using a thematic synthesis approach. The findings indicate that the integration of Islamic ethical principles, including stewardship, responsibility, balance, and care for cleanliness, is consistently associated with enhanced environmental awareness at cognitive, affective, and spiritual levels. Integrated thematic learning, contextual instruction grounded in Qur’anic reflection, and experiential activities are widely reported as supportive pedagogical strategies. This review contributes a consolidated conceptual reference for values-informed science education and highlights directions for future empirical research on sustainable environmental learning in primary education contexts

    No full text
Arabic literature in the modern era has undergone continuous development, giving rise to literary schools of thought, the first of which was the classical school. This research aims to reveal the classical school in modern Arabic literature from the perspective of its fundamental thoughts, characteristics, pioneer, and criticism. The research was library research with a descriptive approach. The data collection method used was documentation through reading and writing. Data analysis was based on a four-step classification analysis method, namely reduction, classification, composition, and interpretation or explanation. The results of the research indicate that 1) The basis of the idea for the emergence of the classical school in modern Arabic literature is a response to the emergence of the classical school in the West and a reaction to the influence of Western culture and literature on Arabic literature. 2) The characteristics of the classical school in modern Arabic literature are thematic, containing human values, prioritising logic in the creation of literary works, using ancient poetic styles, and using facts as inspiration. 3) The pioneer of the classical school in modern Arabic literature is Mahmoud Sami Pasha, son of Hassan Husni al-Baroudi, known as the Lord of the Sword and the Pen, Prince of Poets and Poet of Princes. 4) Criticism of the classical school in modern Arabic literature came from the perspective of Islam, because the classical school is closely linked to Greek and Roman literature, which are pagan in spirit, It neglects social and political problems in favour of principles related to the view of worldly and otherworldly life, favours a particular social group, and attributes human and moral values to a particular time and place, both of which are changeable

    Get PDF
This research analyzes the social attitudes rubric needs based on Case-Based Learning (CBL) to objectively assess students’ social attitudes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the data were gathered by observation, interviews with the lecturers and students, and document study. The research result showed an urgent need for a CBL rubric that contains a measurable indicator of collaboration, empathy, responsibility, and social responsiveness. The Case-Based Learning (CBL) integrity has proven a possibility of assessing the attitude more contextually through a real case study relevant to the students’ lives. In conclusion, this rubric development is important to improve the consistency and objectivity of attitude assessment in Islamic Religious Education. This rubric could be a practical reference for lecturers in evaluating a systematic social attitude, strengthening the internalization of socio-religious values in students

Analysis of the Supply Chain and Added Value of Brown Sugar by Artisans in Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency

    Get PDF
This study aims to analyze the brown sugar supply chain among artisans in Hulu Sungai Tengah (HST) Regency, focusing on the relationships between producers, distributors, and marketers. This study applied a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected from in-depth interviews with brown sugar artisans in Barabai and Pandawan subdistricts, as well as field observations conducted in previous studies. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to describe the patterns of raw material, product, and information flows in the brown sugar supply chain system. The results show that the brown sugar supply chain structure in Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency consists of four main actors, namely palm sap farmers, brown sugar artisans, collectors, and market traders. The relationship between actors is still informal and depends on trust, without an institutional system or standard price contracts. Artisans play an important role in the value-added process because they process raw sap into marketable products through stages that are time-consuming and require labor and skill. However, limitations in raw palm sap, dependence on collectors, and a lack of production facilities mean that supply chain efficiency is still suboptimal. These findings emphasize the importance of integration between actors in the brown sugar supply chain system in order to strengthen the position of producers, increase the stability of raw material supplies, and expand distribution networks so that the local brown sugar industry can develop sustainably

    Get PDF
Kumaravadivelu's epistemology provides enlightenment in foreign language learning including Arabic. This study aims to explain Kumaravadivelu's epistemology in transforming Arabic language learning through postmethod and beyond-method approaches. The research method used is a literature study, which involves analyzing Kumaravadivelu's works as well as other related research in this field. The analysis shows that with Kumaravadivelu's epistemology of postmethod (including postmethod conditions, postmethod pedagogy and postmethod praxis) and beyond method (including macrostrategies and microstrategies), Arabic language learning can be transformed to be more responsive and adaptive to students' needs and local contexts. Postmethod encourages teachers to be reflective and innovative practitioners, while the Beyond Method framework provides macrostrategy guidelines that allow for flexible and contextualized application. This transformation not only enhances the effectiveness of Arabic language teaching but also empowers students as independent, critical and free learners. This transformation marks a paradigmatic shift from a static approach to Arabic language teaching towards a more contextualized, practical and possibility-oriented approach. Thus, Kumaravadivelu's epistemology makes an important contribution in enriching and enhancing the effectiveness of Arabic language learning in a complex multicultural environment

How Do Value Conflicts In Islamic Religious Education Arise Among Muhammadiyah School Students From Nahdatul Ulama Families?

    Get PDF
The phenomenon of many Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) parents who send their children to Muhammadiyah high schools and vocational high schools raises the potential for religious value conflicts. This study aims to reveal the dynamics of the value conflict in Islamic Religious Education among students. The method employed is a mixed-methods approach with concurrent triangulation, where qualitative and quantitative data are collected simultaneously through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation from students, principals, Islamic Education and Cultivation teachers, and Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah teachers. This research was conducted in six Muhammadiyah schools in Banjarmasin. The results showed that most students experienced conflict between the religious teachings at school and their family traditions, so they tended to be ambivalent about following Muhammadiyah worship practices at school and reverting to NU practices when at home. A small number of students chose to consistently follow Muhammadiyah's teachings even though it caused tension with their parents. The conclusion of this study reveals that the value of Islamic Religious Education in Muhammadiyah schools influences the religious identity of students from NU backgrounds. The implications of this research include input and suggestions related to the concept of inter-religious harmony

Legal Implications of Law No. 1/1974 and the Compilation of Islamic Law on The Validity of Adult Marriage in Indonesia (A Comparative Analysis of Positive Law, Islamic Law, and Customary Law in Determining the Legality of a Marriage)

    No full text
This article highlights the legal impact of Law No. 1 of 1974 and the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI) on the recognition of customary marriage in Indonesia, by examining the comparison between national law, Islamic law, and customary law in determining the validity of a marriage. Indonesia as a country rich in culture has a variety of customary marriage practices, which often conflict with state and religious laws, especially regarding the obligation to register marriages. Law No. 1 of 1974 states that a marriage is valid if it is carried out according to each religion and is officially registered, while the KHI also emphasizes the importance of registration for the order of Muslim administration. However, some indigenous people consider customary rituals to be sufficient to validate a marriage without the need for state registration, thus raising legal issues related to the status of their spouses and children, especially in terms of identity and inheritance rights. This study uses a normative legal method with a statutory and comparative approach, comparing the three legal systems and examining the applicable regulations. The results of the study indicate the potential for conflict and legal uncertainty due to differences in the criteria for the validity of marriage between state law, Islamic law, and customary law. Therefore, harmonization efforts are needed to create legal certainty while still respecting the cultural diversity of Indonesian society

The trade in mystical oil is a phenomenon that exists in society, one example being in Central Kalimantan, particularly in the city of Kuala Kapuas. This practice has raised doubts among the community regarding its legitimacy. Therefore, this study aims to explore the opinions of religious scholars in Kuala Kapuas and the arguments they use. This is an empirical legal study involving interviews with five religious scholars from the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) and the Majelis Ta’lim. The results of the study indicate that the religious scholars are divided into two groups: the first group permits the buying and selling of mystical oil provided it meets the legal requirements of Islam, while the second group prohibits it, as it is considered to involve elements of fraud and the potential for idol worship

OPTIMIZATION OF WASTE BANK AND MAGGOT CULTIVATION AS A SOLUTION TO ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION BASED ON THE PRINCIPLE OF HIFDZUL BI'AH

    Get PDF
The phenomenon of environmental degradation is increasingly alarming, characterized by high pollution and poor waste management. In Indonesia, more than 65 million tons of waste are generated every year, most of which have not been managed properly. Environmental conservation concepts, such as Waste Bank and maggot cultivation, can be a solution. Waste Bank manages recycled waste, while Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggot decomposes organic waste, produces fertilizer, and reduces waste volume. The principle of hifdzul bi'ah in Islam supports this effort to maintain the balance of nature and improve the quality of life. This research uses a qualitative method that is a literature study. After being analyzed through the study of relevant literature, the author then classifies based on the subtitles contained in the discussion points. The results of this study show that the application of the principle of hifdzul bi'ah in the management of Waste Bank and maggot cultivation can be seen from the community's efforts by establishing Waste Bank, the community practices waste sorting as a form of concern for the environment in accordance with the values of hifdzul bi'ah. Similarly, the use of maggot in decomposing organic waste is not only a practical solution, but also reflects awareness of the importance of managing waste without damaging the ecosystem. This synergy has a positive impact on the environment, such as reducing waste to landfill, reducing pollution, and reducing methane emissions from organic waste

Cryptocurrency trading has emerged as a global phenomenon, raising complex legal and ethical questions, particularly within the framework of Islamic law. In Indonesia, the government's dual-track policy—legalizing crypto assets as commodities while prohibiting them as payment instruments—calls for critical normative analysis. This study aims to assess the legality of cryptocurrency trading in Indonesia’s futures market from the perspective of maqāṣid al-sharīʿah. Employing a normative legal research method integrated with a maqāṣid-based approach, the research analyzes statutory regulations and incorporates primary data from interviews with regulatory authorities (BAPPEBTI). The findings reveal that the legalization policy aligns with aspects of public interest (maṣlaḥah) and falls within the categories of maqāṣid ḥājiyyah and ma‘ānin ‘urfiyyah ‘āmmah, although continuous monitoring is essential to prevent elements of maysīr, gharār, and ḍarar. The uniqueness of this research lies in its synthesis of legal formalism with maqāṣidic reasoning, supported by empirical insights, offering a novel contribution to the field of Islamic economic law. Future research should include comparative studies across Muslim jurisdictions to develop a shariah-compliant regulatory framework responsive to fintech innovation.Cryptocurrency trading has emerged as a global phenomenon, raising complex legal and ethical questions, particularly within the framework of Islamic law.
