Analysis of the Supply Chain and Added Value of Brown Sugar by Artisans in Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency

This study aims to analyze the brown sugar supply chain among artisans in Hulu Sungai Tengah (HST) Regency, focusing on the relationships between producers, distributors, and marketers. This study applied a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected from in-depth interviews with brown sugar artisans in Barabai and Pandawan subdistricts, as well as field observations conducted in previous studies. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to describe the patterns of raw material, product, and information flows in the brown sugar supply chain system. The results show that the brown sugar supply chain structure in Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency consists of four main actors, namely palm sap farmers, brown sugar artisans, collectors, and market traders. The relationship between actors is still informal and depends on trust, without an institutional system or standard price contracts. Artisans play an important role in the value-added process because they process raw sap into marketable products through stages that are time-consuming and require labor and skill. However, limitations in raw palm sap, dependence on collectors, and a lack of production facilities mean that supply chain efficiency is still suboptimal. These findings emphasize the importance of integration between actors in the brown sugar supply chain system in order to strengthen the position of producers, increase the stability of raw material supplies, and expand distribution networks so that the local brown sugar industry can develop sustainably

This study aims to analyze the independent approach to Arabic language learning in Indonesia using the theoretical perspective of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). CEFR provides as an international frame of reference language proficiency standards that are regulated on the basis of proficiency levels, ranging from beginner to advanced. This analysis focuses on the alignment between learning outcomes (CP) in the independent curriculum and CEFR standards. This research approach uses a qualitative and descriptive approach, with data collection techniques through documentation and analysis techniques, i.e. content analysis. The results of the study showed that the independent curriculum is consistent with CEFR in the progressive development of receptive and productive language skills. In the A-F phase, there are levels from A1 to B2 when analyzed using the CEFR theorem. This result is expected to be a reference for policymakers in improving curricula to be globally competitive. This study aims to analyze the independent approach to Arabic language learning in Indonesia using the theoretical perspective of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Early childhood is the future generation of the nation, positioned at a crucial stage of character, attitude, and mindset formation. However, in this modern era, many children exhibit disrespectful behavior and use foul language, which has become a serious concern for the education sector. One of the primary objectives of character education is to cultivate attitudes in children so they act by societal norms, characterized by affective traits such as values, attitudes, appreciation, and adaptability. One effective method for instilling character values is habituation, which enables children to internalize positive behaviors from an early age. This study aims to explore the process of instilling the value of generosity in early childhood through habituation during group meals. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with primary data sources from the principal and teachers of RA As-Syahidul Kabir. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that weekly group meals serve as an effective medium for fostering the value of generosity. In this activity, children bring food from home, but not all children come with food. This situation is utilized by teachers to encourage children to share their meals with peers who do not bring any. Additionally, children share side dishes, which vary among individuals, thereby strengthening the values of generosity and empathy. This act of sharing eventually becomes a positive habit ingrained in children through the group meal activity

TRANSFORMING ARABIC LANGUAGE LEARNING THROUGH KUMARAVADIVELU'S EPISTEMOLOGY

Kumaravadivelu's epistemology provides enlightenment in foreign language learning including Arabic. This study aims to explain Kumaravadivelu's epistemology in transforming Arabic language learning through postmethod and beyond-method approaches. The research method used is a literature study, which involves analyzing Kumaravadivelu's works as well as other related research in this field. The analysis shows that with Kumaravadivelu's epistemology of postmethod (including postmethod conditions, postmethod pedagogy and postmethod praxis) and beyond method (including macrostrategies and microstrategies), Arabic language learning can be transformed to be more responsive and adaptive to students' needs and local contexts. Postmethod encourages teachers to be reflective and innovative practitioners, while the Beyond Method framework provides macrostrategy guidelines that allow for flexible and contextualized application. This transformation not only enhances the effectiveness of Arabic language teaching but also empowers students as independent, critical and free learners. This transformation marks a paradigmatic shift from a static approach to Arabic language teaching towards a more contextualized, practical and possibility-oriented approach. Thus, Kumaravadivelu's epistemology makes an important contribution in enriching and enhancing the effectiveness of Arabic language learning in a complex multicultural environment

How Do Value Conflicts In Islamic Religious Education Arise Among Muhammadiyah School Students From Nahdatul Ulama Families?

The phenomenon of many Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) parents who send their children to Muhammadiyah high schools and vocational high schools raises the potential for religious value conflicts. This study aims to reveal the dynamics of the value conflict in Islamic Religious Education among students. The method employed is a mixed-methods approach with concurrent triangulation, where qualitative and quantitative data are collected simultaneously through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation from students, principals, Islamic Education and Cultivation teachers, and Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah teachers. This research was conducted in six Muhammadiyah schools in Banjarmasin. The results showed that most students experienced conflict between the religious teachings at school and their family traditions, so they tended to be ambivalent about following Muhammadiyah worship practices at school and reverting to NU practices when at home. A small number of students chose to consistently follow Muhammadiyah's teachings even though it caused tension with their parents. The conclusion of this study reveals that the value of Islamic Religious Education in Muhammadiyah schools influences the religious identity of students from NU backgrounds. The implications of this research include input and suggestions related to the concept of inter-religious harmony

Legal Implications of Law No. 1/1974 and the Compilation of Islamic Law on The Validity of Adult Marriage in Indonesia (A Comparative Analysis of Positive Law, Islamic Law, and Customary Law in Determining the Legality of a Marriage)

    No full text
This article highlights the legal impact of Law No. 1 of 1974 and the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI) on the recognition of customary marriage in Indonesia, by examining the comparison between national law, Islamic law, and customary law in determining the validity of a marriage. Indonesia as a country rich in culture has a variety of customary marriage practices, which often conflict with state and religious laws, especially regarding the obligation to register marriages. Law No. 1 of 1974 states that a marriage is valid if it is carried out according to each religion and is officially registered, while the KHI also emphasizes the importance of registration for the order of Muslim administration. However, some indigenous people consider customary rituals to be sufficient to validate a marriage without the need for state registration, thus raising legal issues related to the status of their spouses and children, especially in terms of identity and inheritance rights. This study uses a normative legal method with a statutory and comparative approach, comparing the three legal systems and examining the applicable regulations. The results of the study indicate the potential for conflict and legal uncertainty due to differences in the criteria for the validity of marriage between state law, Islamic law, and customary law. Therefore, harmonization efforts are needed to create legal certainty while still respecting the cultural diversity of Indonesian society

The trade in mystical oil is a phenomenon that exists in society, one example being in Central Kalimantan, particularly in the city of Kuala Kapuas. This practice has raised doubts among the community regarding its legitimacy. Therefore, this study aims to explore the opinions of religious scholars in Kuala Kapuas and the arguments they use. This is an empirical legal study involving interviews with five religious scholars from the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) and the Majelis Ta’lim.
