Sulobaja Village, located in Tobadak District, Mamuju Tengah Regency, faces significant challenges in managing household organic waste, which is often discarded indiscriminately or burned, leading to environmental pollution and reduced water quality. This community service program aimed to enhance public awareness and skills in organic waste management through the production of eco-enzyme, a liquid derived from fermenting organic waste that can be used as a natural cleaner, liquid fertilizer, and pesticide. The program included several stages: initial observation, socialization, hands-on practice, evaluation, and follow-up. Socialization was conducted through educational sessions at the Sulobaja Village Hall, followed by practical training on producing eco-enzyme using household organic waste, molasses, and water. After one month of fermentation, the resulting eco-enzyme exhibited a dark brown color and a distinct acidic aroma, indicating a successful fermentation process. Participants showed a high level of enthusiasm, with over 70% expressing their willingness to continue production independently. The program successfully reduced household organic waste, improved soil fertility, and decreased the use of chemical-based household products. Furthermore, it encouraged the establishment of small production groups to ensure program sustainability. The results demonstrate that eco-enzyme production can serve as a practical and sustainable solution for organic waste management while providing economic and environmental benefits to the community. This program is expected to be replicated in other villages as a model for environmentally friendly waste management

    No full text
The previous study showed that Piper cubeba extract increased brain antioxidant capacity, alleviating cognitive impairment in rats. However, brain-targeted drug delivery is often limited by the blood-brain barrier. One of the approaches to overcome this obstacle is nanocarrier. This study aimed to formulate a nanoemulsion (NE) of P. cubeba extract and determine the antioxidant activity in the brain. The research begins with the determination of excipients and the formula of NE. The formula was then tested for globule size, polydispersity index, thermodynamic stability, zeta potential, pH, and viscosity. The globule's shape was determined using transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The antioxidant activity was tested by catalase and lipid peroxidase activity in the brain after giving NE orally for seven days. Formulations of NE resulted in nano-size globules and were stable thermodynamically. The NE formula significantly increased catalase and inhibited lipid peroxidase activities in the Rat's hippocampus and prefrontal cortex. This study resulted in a stable formula and low-cost production of P. cubeba extract NE, which is active as the brain's antioxidant and is feasible to develop as a neuroprotective agent for various neurodegenerative diseases

    No full text
The implementation of program management in megaprojects often encounters a gap between strategic planning and field execution. This study evaluates stakeholder perceptions regarding the effectiveness of program implementation and project performance in Indonesia’s Nusantara Capital City (IKN). A quantitative survey was conducted with 200 respondents divided into two infrastructure typologies: Horizontal (roads, area development, water resources) and Vertical (high-rise and low-rise buildings). A 6-point Likert scale questionnaire measured six variables: benefit tracking (X1), resource allocation (X2), coordination (X3), risk management (X4), program implementation (M1), and project performance (Y1). The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and multigroup analysis. In Horizontal projects, coordination emerged as the dominant factor (X3→M1 = 0.546; p = 0.000), with program implementation significantly affecting project performance (M1→Y1 = 0.413; p = 0.000). In Vertical projects, risk management was key (X4→M1 = 0.302; X4→Y1 = 0.412; p = 0.000). The strongest indirect effect was found in the coordination-to-performance path through program implementation (0.259; p = 0.000). R² values indicate strong predictive power for program implementation (Horizontal = 0.617; Vertical = 0.660) and project performance (Horizontal = 0.680; Vertical = 0.597). These findings highlight the importance of context-specific program governance strategies
