    No full text
It is very important to keep a track of subsidies provided by the Central Government as well as major state governments to understand the allocation of funds and the flow of funds to the intended beneficiaries over the years. This paper aims to study the changing trends in the distribution of major subsidies by the central government from 2010 onwards. It examines in detail three major types of subsidies, viz., Food Subsidies, Fertiliser Subsidies and Petroleum Subsidies at the level of Government of India. It studies the possible reforms measures taken by GoI to rationalise the burden of explicit subsidies. It looks at the role of technology in implementation of subsidies so that it reaches the beneficiary.  This paper studies the changing trends in allocation of subsidies by the central government after 2010 onwards giving an insight in the government utilization of resources for public welfare. This paper wants to present an outline of technological interventions through cash transfers and direct benefit transfers adopted by GoIthat can create a new paradigm in managing the expenditure of Government. Taking into account learning’s from current efforts by Central Government and use of technology will help India to achieve its stated outcomes and proper utilisation of subsidies to the right beneficiaries.

As the war of talent continues organizations are leveraging platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, MySpace, Instagram, and Twitter for product development, social commerce as well as talent acquisition and management. While social media and talent management is swiftly budding as a research field, there are many areas and questions that need to be explored. These questions are likely to have a particularly important applied advantage as they represent some of the key challenges organizations are grappling with in effectively managing their talent. The purpose of this paper is to contribute to the knowledge about talent management and the role of social networks. This research contributes to the growing body of knowledge pertaining to the organizational benefits that can be garnered from SNSs. However, this paper is aimed at finding out impact of social networking sites on talent management and to identify to what extent the usage of these methods leads to effective talent managementand also help other companies which have not yet explored the potential benefits of social media in understanding how they can leverage social media for talent managemen

    No full text
This paper aims to probe the extent of difference in  satisfaction level of Management students in terms of factors used in adoption of Internet Banking services in India. Management  Students are the ones who are acquainted with the management skills and learnings. With advanced technology and sophistication it becomes challenging for the banks to consider the use of technology to respond to their continuously changing requirements. The customers of internet banking are gaining popularity in the world. There have been many studies on the usage of internet banking services. The management students are governed by many factors in adoption of internet banking. Most successful banks offering internet banking are able to serve only relatively small share of their customer base with IT channels. The web based services have features like ease of access, up-to-date content, layout, design, consistent themes, easy navigation, higher interactivity, access through multiple media, higher use of non-textual information, multiple languages and lower cost of transaction, trust and other variables like intention, beliefs, and subjective norms, trust in the bank, attitude, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. This paper studies and analyzes the factors influencing Management students' intention to use internet banking services

Application of Two Leg VSC as DSTATCOM for Power Quality Improvement using Star/ Delta Transformer under varying Consumer Load

    No full text
This paper presents two leg VSC as Distributed Static Compensator (DSTATCOM) for the corrections of power factor at varying consumer load. Three phase four wire system is more viable of different power quality problems. In past various methodologies were presented by the researchers to address the power quality problems, these problems are namely power factor correction (PFC), zero voltage regulation (ZVR), load balancing. These problems are taken with a reduced size and cost of D-STATCOM. A star/delta transformer based DSTATCOM is employed to handle power quality issues like reactive power correction, poor voltage regulation, compensation of neutral currents and load balancing. This paper presents a Carrier less Hysteresis Current Control techniques for proper switching of PWM. Load balancing is also achieved by the controller under different loading conditions. The Simulation studies are performed on MATLAB with Sim-Power System block set

An Ethical Expert System for Decision Making in the People Management Context

    No full text
This article posits a study in the implementation of E.R.P. No doubt, ERP was a significant step in an ongoing evolution of computer tools that began in the late 1960s. It evolved out of Material Resource Planning (MRP). Each chronological step is built on the fundamentals and principles developed within the earlier one. Information Technology has had a major impact on these trends. These are the important and new concepts have been in developing stage. The thought process behind the study is to find out the need for capturing and codifying decision making involved in the ERP requirement analysis process. It is observed that this process is very much critical from business success point of view. The decision about whether to go for an ERP or not is a very important one from any organization’s point of view since its not only a piece of software but it has become a culture. The cost of the implementation is considerable and can have serious impact on the organizations business. This article (i) highlights some of the issues on which organization can decide to develop an expert system for decision making in implementation of ERP and comments on the reasons for its failure based on the author’s investigative research. (ii) In doing so, the author raises certain vital issues that decision makers have to contend with and face up to

    Microsoft SQL Database Mirroring

    No full text
Database reflecting was presented with Microsoft SQL Serve innovation that can be utilized to outline highaccessibility and elite answers for database excess. It is intended to keep up a hot standby server with a transitionally predictable duplicate of the database. Reflecting is practical, rapid, requires no exceptional equipment, and guarantees value-based consistency. This article will portray the distinctive methods of database reflecting and how it is not quite the same as different advancements. Here won’t get into the specifics of the improvements, however, will take an abnormal state voyage through SQL Server Mirroring ideas. In database reflecting, exchange log records are sent straightforwardly from the important database to the mirror database. This stays up with the latest with the primary database, with no loss of submitted information. On the off chance that the main server fizzles, the mirror server consequently turns into the new important server and recuperates the central database utilizing a witness server under highaccessibility mode. We will examine these modes later. On a very basic level to compress there are three languages to comprehend – the Principal database is the dynamic live database that backings every one of the charges, Mirror is the hot standby and witness which takes into account a majority if there should be an occurrence of the programmed switchover. In database reflecting, the exchange log records for a database are specifically exchanged starting with one server then onto the next, subsequently keeping up a hot standby server. As the essential server composes the database’s log cradle to circle, it all the while sends that piece of log records to the mirror case. The mirror server ceaselessly applies the log records to its duplicate of the database. Reflecting is actualized on a for each database premise, and the extent of security that it gives is limited to a solitary client database. Database reflecting works just with databases that utilization the full recuperation demonstrate. The straightforward and mass logged recuperation models don’t bolster database reflecting. Similarly as with log shipping, in the database reflecting you should guarantee that all database conditions exist on the standby server so the framework can work accurately in case of a failover to the mirror server

Flow Shop Scheduling Problem to Find Minimum Make span with Transportation Time Constraint

    No full text
In this  article, a job scheduling problem has been discussed in which the machines which are going to be used for the processing of the jobs have been placed on different locations. This  article provides different structural conditions for ‘n-job, 3-machine’ flow shop scheduling problem involving processing times and transportation time. This approach is very simple and easy to understand and, also provide an important tool for decision makers to design a schedule for constrained flow-shop scheduling problems. A heuristic approach is given to find an optimal sequence of jobs
