The ways of the authorial fairy tale after the year 2000 in the Czech Republic and in Bulgaria
Get PDFMonografie se zabývá jedním z žánrů dětské literatury (literatury pro děti a mládež) – současnými autorskými pohádkami vydanými v letech 2000 až 2020 v České republice a v Bulharsku. Autorka v ní pomocí srovnávací metody a analýzy děl sleduje vývojové posuny v žánru autorské pohádky v obou národních literaturách. Publikace se výběrově zaměřuje na nejvýraznější typy autorských pohádek a je rozdělena do čtyř částí: folklorem ovlivněné pohádky, deníkové a kalendářové pohádky, lyrizované a rytmické pohádky, humorné a nonsensové pohádky. Kvůli míšení různých literárních žánrů jde však pouze o orientační a přibližné členění. ,This monograph deals with a genre of children\u27s literature (literature for children and young adults) – the contemporary authorial fairy tales published between 2000 and 2020 in the Czech Republic and in Bulgaria. Using a comparative method and analysis of the works, the monograph follows the development shifts in the genre of authorial fairy tale in both national literatures. The work is selective, focused on the most distinctive types of authorial fairy tales. The division of the monograph into four parts (folklore-influenced fairy tales, diary and calendar fairy tales, lyricized and rhythmic fairy tales, humor and nonsense fairy tales) tends to be more orientational and approximate thanks to the mixing of different literary genres

Jan Hus delivered at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Prague between 1398/9 and 1410. Get PDFThe author of the present study deals with the chronicle both as a genre structure and as a type of a narrative which brings new problems concerning the specific genre itself, its structure and narrative strategy which might be applied to it, and, at the same time, the general problems of the theory of narration. The author asks several crucial questions trying to answer them with the help of a case microstudy: The chronicle is still being revitalised in the context of the varying social situations. The chronicle genres express, above all, the character of national literature and national narrative modes, for example, Russian skaz or Polish gawęda. The most important fact is the ability of the chronicle to create various poetological formations along with the ability to create loose genre valences in a similar manner to chemical elements. Therefore the chronicle represents a specific node of the theory of prose/plot, sujetology.Autor přítomné studie se zabývá kronikou jednak jako žánrovou strukturou, jednak jako typem vyprávění, jež přináší nové problémy, které se týkají tohoto zvláštního žánru jako takového, jeho struktury, narativní strategie, jež by měla být aplikována, a současně obecných problémů teorie vyprávění. Autor klade několik stěžjních otázek, které se pokouší zodpovědět pomocí případových mikrostudií. Kronika se stále oživuje v souvislsosti s měnící se společenskou situací. Kronikální žánr vyjadřuje především charakter národní literatury a národní vyprávěcí způsoby, například ruský skaz a polskou gavendu. Nejdůležiítější je schopnost kroniky vytvářet různé poetologické formace spolu se schopností vytvářet volné žánrové valence podobně jako chemcké prvky. Proto kronika předstsvuje specifický modus teorie prózy/syžetu – syžetologie
Přehledný místopis země české. The topographical work of the peasant and politician Jan Barták from Kaliště near Ondřejov
Get PDFThe end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century was a period of growing interest in historical topography and local history. At that time, two substantial topographical works were being created in Moravia: the collective work Vlastivěda Moravská and the topography of Ladislav Hosák. Although some had intentions, a comparable work was not produced for Bohemia. This article presents one of the few attempts at a topography for the whole of Bohemia, the work of the peasant and politician Jan Barták (1861–1941) from the village of Kaliště near Ondřejov. In the years 1895–1941, Barták wrote and prepared for publication 193 volumes of his topography of Bohemia, based on extensive archival research and study of regional literature. During his lifetime, the author only managed to have one volume published, the one for the Jílové district near Prague. His topographical work, stored today in the State District Archive in Prague-West, based in Dobřichovice, has subsequently fallen into obscurity. The article provides information about Barták himself, his family, education, career, and political views. It focuses on Barták \u27s motivation for his topographical work, his inspiration, goals, sources, and methods of work. It also describes the scope and content of the work and its destiny after Barták\u27 s death
Reconstructing the memory of Transylvanian Saxons
Get PDFThe presented paper deals with the national minority of Transylvanian Saxons in Romania. It describes the historical story of the community and the importance of festivities. Based on long-term field research, it describes and analyzes the problems associated with reconstructing the ethnic identity of the community. Primarily, it focuses on the issue of social conditionality of memory. The paper presents the individual responders\u27 recollections of the fundamental events in the community\u27s history in the second half of the 20th century. Methodologically, it follows the tradition of ethnographic research, building on theoretical concepts of ethnicity (T. H. Eriksen, B. Anderson, A. D. Smith) and memory studies (M. Halbwachs, J. Assmann, P. Nora)
