KLARpsy-Text: Sind bei Personen mit Verhaltenssucht andere Bereiche im Gehirn aktiv als bei gesunden Personen?
KLARpsy-Texte sind kurze, lai:innengerechte, allgemeinverständliche und richtlinienbasierte Zusammenfassungen psychologischer Übersichtsarbeiten. Dieser KLARpsy-Text hat den Titel “Sind bei Personen mit Verhaltenssucht andere Bereiche im Gehirn aktiv als bei gesunden Personen?”. Er wurde von Mitarbeitenden des Leibniz-Instituts für Psychologie verfasst. Als testlesende Person war Dr. Cathrin Lindenschmidt beteiligt. Der KLARpsy-Text befasst sich mit folgenden Inhalten: Leidet eine Person unter einer Verhaltenssucht, führt sie ein bestimmtes Verhalten zwanghaft aus – zum Beispiel Glücksspielen oder Computerspielen. Betroffene können das Verhalten kaum kontrollieren, auch wenn es ihnen schadet. Dass sie sich so verhalten, hängt wohl damit zusammen, dass sie Probleme damit haben, wie sie nach Belohnung suchen, wie sie sich selbst kontrollieren und wie sie zu Entscheidungen kommen. Einzelne Studien konnten bereits zeigen, dass bei Verhaltenssüchten bestimmte Bereiche im Gehirn, die im Zusammenhang mit der Belohnungssuche, Selbstkontrolle und Entscheidungsfindung stehen, anders arbeiten. Eine umfassende Metaanalyse liegt jedoch noch nicht vor. Mit ihrer Übersichtsarbeit wollten die Forschenden herausfinden: Unterscheidet sich die Aktivität im Gehirn von Personen mit und ohne Verhaltenssucht bei bestimmten Aufgaben? Gibt es bestimmte Bereiche im Gehirn, die bei der Verhaltenssucht zusammenarbeiten? Bei Aufgaben zu Belohnungssuche, Selbstkontrolle und Entscheidungsfindung sind bei Personen mit Verhaltenssucht andere Bereiche im Gehirn aktiv als bei gesunden Personen. Moral Flocking: How Shared Moral Foundations and Psycho-Social Correlates Shape the Social Network among First-Semester University Students
Network science offers powerful tools to map social structures, yet we know little about how shared moral foundations shape social network architecture in offline contexts. This study employs the German adaptation of the MFQ-2 to investigate foundation-specific moral homophily within a nascent cohort of first-semester psychology students at a German university. We will test four pre-registered hypotheses using a full-roster participant-as-node approach where edges represent self-reported social ties within the entire cohort. We will examine whether moral similarity predicts network structure via Quadratic Assignment Procedure correlation tests, test foundation-specific homophily effects using Exponential Random Graph Models that control for endogenous network processes and investigate how degree centrality predicts moral typicality relative to the cohort average. Additionally, we will test whether ethical positions predict structural positioning, specifically whether moral relativism predicts betweenness centrality and moral idealism predicts local clustering. Beyond moral foundations, we assess psycho-social correlates including political ideology, religiosity, need to belong, personality traits, and ethical positions to disentangle moral homophily from ideological confounds and identify why individuals vary in their propensity to form morally homophilous ties. This comprehensive network analysis reveals how moral convictions interact with social tie formation and individual positioning to foster social cohesion and division.unknownothe

Die vorliegende Arbeit befasst sich mit dem Einsatz und der Wirkung tiergestützter Intervention mit Eseln im Rahmen der Betreuung von Kindern und Jugendlichen, die eine tiergestützte Tagesgruppe besuchen. Als theoretische Grundlage dienen die 17 Wirk- und Heilfaktoren aus dem Integrativen Verfahren, anhand derer die Einsatzmöglichkeiten der Esel in der Triade PädagogIn-Kind-Tier in Kontext und Kontinuum dargestellt werden. Hierbei werden konzeptionelle Inhalte der Einrichtung ausgeführt und mit Beispielen aus der pädagogischen Praxis veranschaulicht.This thesis deals with the use and effect of animal-assisted intervention with donkeys in the context of caring for children and young people attending an animal-assisted day group. The 17 effective and healing factors from the integrative method serve as a theoretical basis, on the basis of which the possible uses of donkeys in the triad of educator-child-animal are presented in context and continuum. Preprint of: Who engages in Citizen Science projects on urban wildlife ecology? Findings on participant groups from cluster analyses
Citizen Science (CS) for nature sensing has grown in recent years in terms of popularity, project numbers, and content. Yet, little is known about the demographics of participants in ecological CS projects so far, and it is mostly unclear to what extent participants can be reasonably classified into specific participant groups. This is important to know as knowledge of such groups could be helpful in engaging and retaining as well as attracting CS participants. Therefore, the aim of the research presented here was to identify distinctive participants groups in two case studies, that is, two different ecological CS projects (N1 = 847, N2 = 223). In particular, we performed cluster analyses based on participants’ demographical data (i.e., age, educational background, and status of employment). The results revealed four participant clusters in each project. Each participant could be classified into one of these clusters: (1) All-Round Workers who were middle-aged employees with a medium education level and a full-time or part-time employment, (2) Academic Employees who were middle-aged employees with a high education level and a full-time or part-time employment, (3) Free-Timers with a medium education level and no employment, and (4) Academic Free-Timers with a high education level and no employment. Thus, participants of two different ecological CS projects could be classified into similar groups and our findings could offer important new opportunities in CS research. Further implications for diversifying participant groups and developing CS projects are discussed.notReviewedothe
