The History and Rality of Zhou Zuoren's Translation of the Pillow Book Unpublished
Get PDFpdf中国現代名人である魯迅の本名は周樹人（一八八一～一九三六）である。周作人（一八八五～一九六七）は魯迅の弟である。本稿では、周氏兄弟の関係から、周作人が日本古典文学を翻訳するまでの経緯を述べ、特に人民文学出版社から一九五九年に依頼された『枕草子』の翻訳は、周作人が一九六一年に完訳したにも拘らず、なぜ当時出版しなかったのか。この点について、近年公開された周作人の日記や友人の手紙から、その原因と理由及び実態を考察してみたい。
Lu Xun, a world-famous modern Chinese writer, is Zhou Shuren (1881-1936). Zhou Zuoren (1885-1967) is Lu Xun's brother. This paper describes the Zhou brothers' relationship and how Zhou Zuoren became to translate Japanese classical literature. Zhou Zuoren had translated the Pillow Book (Makura no Sōshi), which the People's Literature Publishing House requested in 1959. Why wasn't it published at that time even though Zhou Zuoren had finished it on time? About this question, I would like to consider the reasons and actual situation according to the public Zhou Zuoren's diaries and his overseas friend's letters in recent years.departmental bulletin pape
